Hey, my name is Spencer, I am a 14 year-old, and really need someone to talk to (mentioning i have no one to talk to, my parents don't support). So would someone be willing to mentor me?

Hey Spencer,

I just thought that I would drop in and tell you that an FTM will come by and offer their support as soon as all of the bowl games are over! :D

I am more than glad to chat and be your freind - I certainly qualify as older (57 - but never ask a lady her age!) but I am headed the other direction! :D

I love your avatar - it says so much!

There are a lot of great guys here and everyone is willing to help so just hang in there and someone will say something that makes you go, hey, that's what I needed!

Love ya,

Sally

Hola Spencer.

There are tons of FtMs around, and all/most/a lot of em are sure to drop by at some point or another. (no comment on whether or not bowl games play a part lol). In the mean time, feel free to check out the board for info and just to basically get a feel of a place. Mostly everyone's nice and you might find all kinds of input, including how to survive parents :P Take a look through the teen area as well. Lots of times someone close in age is nice to talk to too. And even 16 is older :) You're certainly not the only young person around and I think all the teens here are pretty well liked. Still and all, since its the net, be mindful about not givin out identifying info to grown ups. You never know, it could be someone as new as you and none of us have any idea whether or not they're gonna be a good playground member or bad :( But you'll get to read all the cautions in rules and guidelines area. Make sure you take time to look it over. Besides that though have fun and ask lots of questions if you need to. (scratches head) I think the teens have their own means of teen communications -facebook and whatever- and I'm pretty sure they'll fill you in on what they're all doing. Plus, you're likely to find others looking for "mentor" type situations too. -though honestly my best advice is take your time, you'll naturally figure out folks you like talkin too in threads and stuff.

Ok, thats my spiel, let the snack carts begin :D

....psst, and btw, since he's the only one besides me who's posted so far, I'll personally vouche that Jackson is a cool dude ;) ....

OH GOOD HEAVENS!

Evan just pointed out that no one has rolled out the snack tray for you.

A group of us more mature woman like to offer everyone comfort foods (virtual foods are great no calories and no trans fats) we offer hot cocoa with or without mini marshmallows, cookies, pies during the holidays and for you hungry teenaged guys I've brought the cheeseburgers, French Fries and Pepperoni Pizza! :D

Find a comfy chair and settle in, you're going to like it here - every one is so friendly!

And we are all here for support, for you, and each other - ask your questions, offer your advice and opinions we are all here together.

Love ya,

Sally

Spenser - you hit the jackpot! ;)

Jackson and Evan are the BEST for FTM support & Sally is no slouch either, but she is like me, heading the other way.. Others are gonna signin' in soon as well.

WELCOME- we will do whatever we can to help you. B)

Ask away - read all, and learn how interesting this site is with different people in different stages of their life - and itsa great site!

Don't forget to check out the chat - Laura's is pretty well protected from preditors and flamers.

Hey Spencer. I'm 18 and I'm a freshman in college so I'm only a bit older than you. My facebook is also on my profile page...I don't use IM much except for Skype so if you ever wanted to contact me facebook is probably the best way aside from the forums. lol

Hi Spencer! Welcome to the Playground!

I'm "older" (30), but I'm much younger in "transition years". Feel free to post or message if you need to vent. You'll find a lot of sympathetic ears around here. We're a friendly bunch!

In my last session my therapist is starting to suggest that I need to start exploring my gender identity in a more tangible way through wearing feminine clothing at least during sessions.  I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around her seeing me actually en femme.   I love and trust her, but the thought of being visibly feminine is scaring (and thrilling) me.  Is this a common thing in gender therapy?  How do I get past the fear?  More importantly, what should I wear?

USA doctors denounce Cass Report, support trans folks.  The Endocrine Society And American Academy Of Pediatrics Respond To Cass, Reject Bans. I felt the urge to date and felt just like a teenager again. I have recorded my journal titled Ashley's Life From Start to Present. I was very moody and agitated and happy. I think it was my body's way of being in shock. After about two months it got better. Remember that you aren't the only one transitioning because your wife is too. Consider yourself lucky because I lost mine because of it and so have many others. Just enjoy the ride.

I'm sorry for asking so many questions about your situation. I'm in your camp and believe you should be able to be whoever you feel you need to be. I guess it the Union Shop Stewart coming out in me. I want you to be treated fairly as well as respectably. You're human, you're a client of theirs. Especially if you're paying money to be there.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Views, terminology, and aspects of how events came to be....aren't those directly related to the news item?  If not, I'm rather confused.

Second warning, this has gotten far and apart from the NEWS item that it started out with and is becoming a flat out battleground over political leanings and terminology.

Welcome to Lefty Land.... a festive theme park full of sparkles and unicorns, a perfect place except for one evil orange dragon wearing a blond wig.    I'm always amazed at the "flexibility" of definitions.  One person's f@scist seems like a centrist to others.  One person's "moderate" looks to others like the 2nd coming of Fidel Castro.  A normal marriage a century or two ago is now a criminal offense, and relationships that used to be a criminal offense are now open, normal marriages.  Pedophiles now want to be called "minor attracted persons" and teenagers are now defined as children.  A Republican in NY or CA would be a Democrat just about anywhere else.  I'm certainly no advocate for relativism, these are just observations.    What I find interesting about this Australian candidate is the attitude that he shouldn't be allowed to run for office.  Why?  Just because his views are different, or even offensive?  Who makes that determination?  Can an election really be open and fair if it is barred to candidates who are not "politically correct?"  Here in the USA, we can openly have candidates who are f@scist or any other thing they want to be, no real restrictions aside from eligibility requirements related to age, location, citizenship, and criminal record.

@Birdie You certainly have more patience than I do.  I don't take it well if I get scolded.  Either I sulk or I get nippish.    We had a good Mother's Day here yesterday.  Quite an event, since 4 of my partners are mothers.  GF enjoys it a lot, because she's very (excessively?) proud of having produced her 5 kids.  Her eldest starts school this fall.  Amazing how time flies...
