Hey Senorrr

So...I had to go to mexico for two weeks. Now I'm back.

Although the trip itself may not of been the best I was finding(without binding even) the mexicans would call me 'senor' alot of times. In stores when I would get a drink or somthing they would hand my money back and go "Here Senor." I even passed a mexican who winked at me, grabbed his own bum, squeezed and shaked it then said "Hey sennoorrr" it was pretty funny. B) There was lots of gays and gay club in the town I was in so I got hit on a few times as 'Senor'. It was a ego booster to pass in a town I've never been in before.

I found however...that I started to get a little paranoid about my neck. My voice isn't deep yet, and I have no adams apple. So I found myself trying to keep my chin down somtimes. It hadnt really passed my mind till I went over to mexico but it bothers me now.

My family was fine about me being trans. It was weird, though, when they would call me Kyle and tell their friends that I wanted to change my name then they would all ask me why. Or when one of their friends already knew I was a 'bio female' and my mom would call me son. It was good of them of course, I just don't like the looks the friends gave me because I can't fully pass just quite yet. I can't wait till I can go fully undercover so if I go on anymore family trips it wont be so awkward. :)

What a great set of parents. The North of the border crowd can be pleased. Don't worry about the Adam's Apple, the general population has no clue and they couldn't care less. Hasta Luego Senor.....................Mia.

HOla, chico if u don't mind it. Some people think that i'm a boy too. you're not the only one. I think it's quite funny. My friend leia, a wiccan, told me that i have an adam's apple which i think is kinda funny. I cannot wait until I have a therapist and go through the transition. it just sounds so exciting, i need the help here as much as I can get. so um... yeah, ranting once again. :)

Congrats!

So glad you made it back and the ego boost wasn't too bad either!

Don't worry about your neck, people use that as an idicator the other way - they never even look twice at a man's neck.

Seriously even people trying to spot trans don't go by the neck on guys - everybody doesn't have a pronounced Adams Apple, some women do, but not many so that is why it is such an indicator for trans women.

Glad to have you back North of the border again,

Sally

Hm, I look at mens necks but I also stare at them. LOL Perhaps your all rght and I shouldnt think about it - it really was somthing that just past my mind in mexico randomly.

That brings up another question though...do FTMs grow adams apples like MTFs grow bewbehs? I mean are adam apples growth directly connected to T like bewbehs are directly connected to estrogen? I never asked my doctor.

Actually all people have "adams apples", its just another name for "voice box" and the reason you often can see a males as opposed to female is just the size difference -a difference caused by testosterone. How well yours will be seen will depend on how much it grows (genetics) and how your neck is (ie a heavier neck might be harder to see it). The voice box growing is also what makes you have a heavier voice.
