Brazil's TS Models Are a Hit

What I find ironic is the fact that, in a country that celebrates female beauty, and has enthusiastically accepted these models, Brazil is also the place where many transfolk are murdered every year, some in horrible, brutal ways. Talk about a dichotomy.

This is perhaps the fourth story I've seen on this subject, and just the first that didn't contain photos that made it unusable for this site.

I think the dichotomy is due to the cultural dynamics of men are men and women are women so when encountering a transgendered person and falling in love with them not knowing that they are transgendered is a recipe for disaster.

When models are identified as transgendered that seems OK to the populace because models are considered untouchable and not really human anyway.

Funny how the expectations of some professions and social dynamics allow the inclusion of transgendered people and some do not.

Modelling... OK,

Board of Directors of an international bank... NOK,

Artists.... OK,

Teachers... NOK,

Lovers.... ?

I will add that the inventor of the ARM processor which is widely used today in many computing architectures was invented by a transgendered woman who transitioned years before her invention and worked successfully as the lead architect at Acorn computers and was completely accepted there. I forget her name but she can easily be found by googling ARM microprocessors.

It is wonderful to see those who succeed so well and transition at the same time.
