We've had a couple of recent discussions about just this sort of thing happening. The question at the time was, are we entitled to force others to accept us in locker rooms and shower rooms? The debate lasted for days. So, break out the chips and dip, and lets go at it again.

Colleen Francis was MtF in Wash and this was in Dec from Chic FtM Levi Pine. Both were in facilities where minors roam and both will be used in the future when laws are discussed about who is and isn't allowed access. The public seem to poll against this. I *THINK* I came across a poll on a LGBT site w/the same feelings.

If Mr. Pine has not undergone SRS (which it seems he has not) and was not willing to enter the shower unexposed (that is, in trunks - assuming here that he's had TS), then he should have elected to shower in private without prompting. Things will change but slowly, and not by people acting like idiots. A better course of action would've been for Mr. Pine to voluntarily use a private shower, or, it's a men's room, yes? Open the door and shout in 'hey fellas, I'm a dude but they forgot to attach some pieces when I was born; you OK with that?" There would be a very good chance that the other guys would say 'do what you want' if for no other reason but then, they'd be curious (which, if he wants to shower with males while he retains female anatomy, he'll just have to deal with - humans aren't that far-removed from bonobos after all...).

All of this said, I'm probably being sexist, too because he's a guy. If this were a girl, I'd likely think 'well, nothing can be done about the situation.' Age is also a factor. If you're 20, you're less likely to understand the sex-segregation game so, I don't mind so much; if you're 40, you know how it works so, just shower privately (or I suppose you could go in a group and take over the sauna... ).

I will go out on a limb and say if he hasnt had surgery and was naked in sight of others, I believe that is wrong. It may not be fair but if he hasnt had surgery some or all of his body still has female "shape" and others shouldnt be expected to see that.

Ye get in there and shower to get clean.

You don't get in there to study other people.

Then again we (mrs and I) regularly hit the sauna's and there all mixed and we be stark naked and it feels soooooo good

Some respect should be shown to the general populace if we want to be accepted, even a little bit.

To add a funny note to the thread - when the missus and i were camping in France, there were separate shower blocks for male and female on this particular site - which isnt usually the case in France, anyway, we had only one token for the shower - couldnt be bothered to go to the office, so when it was quiet i sneaked in with her - i had quite a growth of beard and have also a very hairy body - when we had got dressed in the cubicle and decided to come out - pun intended - the place had filled up with women and children - so i wrapped the towel around my head, so no one would see my face and said to the missus - youve seen the film "undercover brother" - well this is under cover mother - lol!
