Hormones to Feminize Myself

Rule 18 applies here

18). Users may not discuss how to obtain hormones without a prescription or their specific dosages of hormones nor encourage the taking of non-prescription drugs. ie. herbal hormones

The taking of hormones without being under a doctor's supervision is a very dangerous thing to do.

The taking of phytoestrogens (this includes hops) is a very dangerous thing to be doing. The amount you would have to take in order to achieve any feminization at all would be extremely toxic to your system. It will kill your liver. Just for your info, Laura suffered a stroke from taking phytoestrogens.

I am very skeptical of this Irene's story. It sounds like a fairy tale to me.

Sorry to say but the only 'natural' way to feminize your body is to produce your own female hormones - being born male that option isn't available!

The reason that all methods of feminization are dangerous is that you have to alter your bodies chemestry to effect the changes!

Any chnage in the body chemestry, by whatever means, will effect all of the body's systems!

That is why everyone (except the manufacturers of the - OTC types of products) will caution you to always have a doctor supervising.

You have to have blood test, nit just to monitor the hormone levels but to check the lliver function! When the liver fails you are some serious trouble!

MaryEllen reminded you of the rules and the why for them - Laura is restricted pretty much to her bed or wheelchair - she was lucky! She didn't end up dead! I'm not saying these things to make you understand the reason for the rules - that is not as important as impressing you with the dangers of what you are thinking about trying, hormone therapy has it's risks under a doctor's supervision - the only way self treatment could be at all safe would be if you took placebos - but enough sugar pills would effect your blood sugar and that would ---- just don't do it!

You only have one life, protect it the best way you van, use your brain and think about the dangers before you try to sprint across the Interstate!

We all love ya, so be careful,

Sally

I'm sorry to hear that, it sounds awful, I wasn't aware of that. I was running ahead of myself without considering the experience some of you have/had. Thank you so much for the warning and pointing me on being naivety

Don't feel bad, we all looked at those sites and thought, wow I'd like that!

But then you have to take a step back and remember, if it sounds too good to be true - it probably isn't (True).

Also, when envolving anything that you put into your body ask what it will do to you - there is almost always a side effect.

When someone offers you a new food, you ask, "What is it?" before you taste it - good idea, I have food allergies and need to know that it doesn't contain a couple of things that will make me violently ill.

I am reminded of the time that one of the artificial sweetner companies hired Cher as a spokesperson and she stood in the middle of a sugar can field, in a gorgeous silver evening gown (sigh) and then said, "Why would anyone put 15 pounds of sugar in their body? I'm careful about what goes into my body so I use ...." I almost fell on the floor laughing - careful about what Miss Silicone and tattoo ink who was married to Greg Allmond put in her body - please! What were they thinking? Why not use Evel Knevel, with more metal in his body than the original bones?

Just think and you will be fine, we are all tempted by the 'quick fix', but they are usually temporary and almost always dangerous.

Don't get down on yourself, just be aware!

Love ya,

Sally

Thanks Sally, really appreciate the caring. :)

I have to be careful with what I said, I now am. I understand that the reality of such dramatic change is beyond imagination and advised not to taken lighty ar with a whim of thought.

Oh and I made my first baby steps yesterday and today.

Yesterday I clipped my brows, and I must say: Wow! never thought that would change someone's face so much! I guess you are right on that the subtleties are way better than a radical transformation of having both genders.

Today I got my act together and had the nerve to buy nail polish! I bought blue, black and transparent (as primer) and I am currently applying some.

Thank you all for your advice and caring, and also Laura for setting up such a great website! it is of real help! B)

We are all here to help each other and caring is a major part of it!

Taking the nice little baby steps, I don't have any nail polish right now - ao I am envious.

By the way, I like the new Avatar!

Love ya,

Sally

Personally, I despise the antics of the "swing" states. Double-minded and unstable, shifting every time the wind blows.  OK, so the Lt Governor of Georgia doesn't like Trump.  Small potatoes.... given the 2020 results, nobody counts on Georgia anyways.

Its midnight here...so, technically morning   I had a really weird evening, and learned something new about politics.  My sister, who is running for public office as our township constable, received a "present" today, left on the hood of her patrol car.  An axe!  Wrapped in a bundle of sticks (dowels?).  The sheriff received one also, and a couple other candidates.  Now, my first thought was it was meant as a threat, and I was freaked out when she told me.  But she wisely identified it as political criticism:   During the 2020 election, a small dissident minority objected to our sheriff, and labeled him "Mussolini."  Apparently the symbol of the F@scist Party came from ancient Rome.  An axe, circled with rods, and the whole bundle was called "fasces" and represented the authority of the state.  Roman officials would have them symbolically carried ahead of them through the city on parade.  Other nations used it too, including the USA.  But since the 1920s, it is mostly associated with a certain political party.  Either I was never taught this in high school, or I didn't notice it.    So, it appears that this election season will have some interesting aspects.  And I have been asked to put gold spray paint on an axe, to make it like a trophy.

Welcome @Vivelacors!  For myself and many others here it is a similar theme.  But, I can assure it's never too late.  I hope that you will discover that as you explore and connect with more of us on the Forum.    You've already taken the most important first step ... Self-Affirmation.  I am wishing you the best in continuing this process. Deep breaths ... One step at a time

I can remember as a teenager being a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints and living in the bible belt. It was always a little hard-I think religion is just tricky anyway.    I was referred to a couple of ladies at church by my mum who gave me very good advice.  One has known those who are are trans- and how they approched it.    The other has two people in their life who identify differently. They also gave other ideas to assist me.     I do like ideas though.

If I am leaving the house I will almost always do makeup.  Not over-the-top but enough to feminize my face (eye shadow, mascara), lipstick, and a light cover of a concealer and foundation. I found my favorite lipsticks are Maybelline.  But the concealer/foundation I 'discovered' in Neutrogena Hydro Boost - Hyaluronic Acid based.  For 'older' gals like me I find it moisturizes and doesn't dry into those annoying fine lines (I have enough of those already).    Hopefully, after facial hair removal I might not feel the need as much.

I think it just comes down to a lot of people not knowing anything about the lgbtq+ community besides what reactionaries online and on TV say. In my experience, people who have a lot more day-to-day contact with gay and trans people, have lgbtq+ friends or family, coworkers, etc. are a lot more accepting because they know an lgbtq+ person, and know that we aren't anything like what the people on TV say we are.

Actually the bill seems to be so thoroughly confusing that I doubt that enforcement is even possible.  It could however incite vigilante style actions.  A false accusation against a "looks challenged" Cis woman is very likely to happen early on.  So what will happen in the case of those situations?  I have a script in mind over the sad average looking daughter of one of the legislators getting tangled into one of those situations.  I don't know whether it would be a comedy or a tragedy at the minute.

I don't know yet. I'm sure there is going to be a big crowd. I also would have to keep up with the kids and probably won't enjoy myself mostly.

I can understand that. My Keurig is used for hot water mostly and when my mom comes. I mostly use a regular coffee maker. I have had that for 5 years now. I had a Bunn but it didn't last long. I also have a French press and rarely use that. I would love to get a cappuccino maker but that is for later on. Starbucks is getting expensive. My kids favorite thing there is the cake pops. I found out that Walmart Neighborhood Market has them. Typical me getting off topic. lol

After many years in denial, I have finally acknowledged my femininity. After quite a long life, so much time has been wasted. Now I feel I am too old to enjoy the freedom I now feel. All I can contribute to those who need to embrace their true gender, be BRAVE and don,t waste time!
