Facebook group, "60 Things Girls Need to Know About Guys"

I just like how a lot of them sound so much like me B)

1. Guys hate sluts even though they have sex with them!

(oh yeah..you're not "popular" if you've slept with more than ALOT OF GUYS..you're a HOE) (Also this one, i'll change if people want me to, people have different life styles)

2. "Hey, are you busy?" or "Are you doing something?" ~ two phrases guys open with to stop from stammering on the phone.

3... Guys may be flirting around all day but before they go to sleep, they always think about the girl they truly care about.

4. Before they call, guys try to plan out a little about what they're gonna say so there aren't awkward pauses, but once he's on the phone he forgets it all and makes it up as he goes.

NEW*5. Guys go crazy over a girl's smile when there attracted to them

6. Guys will do anything just to get you to notice him.

7. Guys hate it when you talk about your ex-boyfriend or ex love-interest. Unless they're goin for the let-her-complain-to-you-and-then-have-her-realize-how-wonderful-and-nice-you-are method.

8. A guy who likes you wants to be the only guy you talk to.

9. Boyfriends need to be reassured often that they're still loved.

10. Don't talk about your guy friends to your boyfriend.

11. Guys get jealous easily.

12. Guys are more emotional than they'd like people to think.

13. Giving a guy a hanging message like "You know what?!..uh...nevermind.." would make him jump to a conclusion that is far from what you are thinking. And he'll assume he did something wrong and he'll obsess about it trying to figure it out.

14. Guys are good flatterers when courting but they usually stammer when they talk to a girl they really like.

15. Guys hate asking parents for money to buy girls presents. So they come up with ideas like saving their lunch money for a week. But it never works because guys are always hungry so they end up asking the parents for money anyway.

16. Girls are guys' weaknesses.

17. Guys are very open about themselves.

18. It's good to test a guy first before you trust him. But don't let him wait too long.

19. Your best friend, whom your boyfriend seeks help from about his problems with you may end up being admired by your boyfriend.

20. If a guy tells you about his problems, he just needs someone to listen to him. You don't need to give advice.

21. A usual act that proves that the guy likes you is when he teases you.

22. Guys love you more than you love them if they are serious in your relationships.

23. Guys will brag about anything.

24. Guys use words like hot or cute to describe girls. We rarely use beautiful. If a guy uses that, he likes you a whole hell of a lot.

25. Guys think WAY too much. One small thing a girl does, even if she doesn't notice it can make the guy think about it for hours, trying to figure out what it meant.

26. Guys seek for advice from girls not other guys. Because most guys think alike, so if one guy's confused, then we're all confused.

27. Any guy could write out a rulebook or advice book for flirting, but no guy can write out a book about relationships.

28. Try to be as straightforward as possible.

29. A guy has to experience rejection, because if he's

too-good-never-been-busted, never been in love and hurt, he won't be mature and grown up.

30. If the guy does something stupid in front of the girl, he will think about it for the next couple days or until the next time he spends time with the girl.

31. No matter how much guys talk about asses and boobs, personality is key.

32. Guys learn from experience not from the romance books that girls read and take as their basis of experience.

33. Guys worry about the thin line between being compassionate and being whipped.

34. If a guy looks unusually calm and laid back, he's probably faking it and is spazzing inside.

35. When a guy says he is going crazy about the girl, he really is. Guys rarely say that.

36. When a guy asks you to leave him alone, he's just actually saying, "Please come and listen to me."

37. Guys don't really have final decisions.

38. If a guy starts to talk seriously, listen to him. It doesn't happen that often, so when it does, you know something's up.

39. If your best guy friend seems to avoid you or is never around when you're with your boyfriend, he's probably jealous and likes you.

40. When a guy looks at you for longer than a second, he's definitely thinking something.

41. Guys like femininity not feebleness.

42. Guys don't like girls who punch harder than they do.

43. A guy has more problems than you can see with your naked eyes.

44. Don't be a snob. Guys can be intimidated and give up easily.

45. Everything in moderation. Put on makeup, wear perfume. Just not too much.

46. Guys talk about girls more than girls talk about guys.

47. Guys hate rejection, but they hate being led on even more.

48. Guys really think that girls are strange and have unpredictable decisions and are MAD confusing but somehow are drawn even more to them.

49. A guy would give his left nut to be able to read a girl's mind for a day.

50. No guy can handle all his problems on his own. He's just too stubborn to admit it.

51. Not all guys are --Censored--. Just because ONE is a jackass doesnt mean he represents ALL of us.

52. We don't like girls who are too skinny.

53. We love it when girls talk about there donkey.

54. Always make sure you know what kind of stuff your getting into before making out with a guy ...like wheather it's a one time deal or not ....

55. Believe it or not shy guys are the most easiest to talk to..it may not seem right but trust me they will start opening up like books after you just ask them questions about their lives and unoticable tell them about yours...

56. When a guy hits your butt it means that he wants you sexually.

57. Even if they refuse it all guys are ticklish on the ribs..

58. Guys love neck rubs and if he lets you keep doing it ..it means that he really likes you or his neck really hurts...

59. Guys will test the waters to see how far they can get with you. Even if he doesn't intend to it will happen. Know how far it is you want to let him go and he will respect that...after you let him know a couple times.

60. When a guy sacerfices his sleep and health just to be with you, he really likes you and wants to be with you as much as possible!

Haha, I'm like that with pretty much anyone female. It's just way worse when it's someone I'm actually attracted to (i.e. that other girl in my hall who I'm now kinda just trying to keep some distance from rather than trying to be closer friends with her because then I don't have to overthink things as much :P) Or when I'm explaining very personal/unusual things to them, because their reactions are just so unpredictable in general. So with something like that...

I think it would be so much easier to tell a guy for that reason. Easier to predict roughly how they will react. Guys have more straightforward thought processes (see #28 lol) Funny thing is I haven't told any of my guy friends yet. Most likely a guy (or two) will be next.

These are many of the things I used to think made me feminine. I always assumed since I was a girl, those things were the way girls were supposed to be. I didn't realize how much I identified with the male mind until Angie started listing things. I disagreed with everything except maybe one things she said was "feminine".

Funny, now that I am transitioning, reading this list is much more satisfying. I would have been peed a few months ago. X.x

Ok, I can't resist, #1 -I don't hate sluts. Sluts are a gift. They give me something to do until the good girls come along. I like sluts. They make good friends/conversation partners and you can have sex with them and generally when you leave cuz you got in a relationship they still will tallk to you and not tell that they gave you some sex.

#2 I don't use those lines to ward off stammering. I say "are you busy" cuz I wanna know if you are.

#3 Think about a girl before I go to sleep? My impulse is to say "no, I think about sleep before I go to sleep" but maybe I just haven't cared a girl in a long time and don't recall.

#13 I will only obsess about it if I like you and want you to like me too.

#15 Not applicable. I'm 40. If I asked my mother for money to buy a girl a present I would take myself to a shrink.

#60 You are hard pressed to get me to sacrifice eiter of those things, I can like you all day long and go to sleep. "Really likes" is the all time understatement of the world. So basing me going to sleep on her decision about how I feel would be foolish on a girls part.

Well Evan,

I am truly hurt, how can you not think of me before you go to sleep? :( Don't you at least wonder where the other half of your brain is and what it's up to?

I have to worry about that all of the time, there's no telling what you're using it for! :o

Don't worry about what I used it for. Just be happy I washed it out afterwards.

where do you find those girls?! And, how the heck can a guy without all the right parts convince one of them to sleep with him? I guess I figure the only way to make that handicap palatable is to get the girl into a relationship and have her fall madly in love with you first. but honestly, it is taking way too long to find prospects that I actually want to be in a relationship with.

hahaha... even if I did find an 'easy' girl to hang out with and such... I'd probably be too chicken. too much catholicism in my background. *sigh*

Love ya and so do many others,

Unfortunately Huff (yeah, this week its "unfortunate" I just seem to find em. Of course, if you wanna "look" for em try a strip club. ....or seedy nightclub ....or a craaapy neighborhood (you know, the really hot bodied girl? just look for the girl that eveybody either has done or wants to do. she probably "swings" all kinds of ways)

HOWEVER, Sally's right. There's actually nothing great about not bein a good boy. Personally (and I don't care if you all get a sudden fit of "coughing" when I say it) I do think I'm a pretty good boy. Not "angelic" always. But pretty good.

Intresting topic....sluts.

You know back in Mexico there was this one town we stopped at. It was like SLUTS R US. I'm pretty sure you'd find one that wouldn't care what you had down there. Theres many people in this world. No everyone runs off the 'whats between your legs' standard even if you haven't come across them yet.

*Adem* By the way I started talking about sluts at the start but at the end I ment in general people.

Honestly, and this is gonna sound horrible when I say it, but pretty much it seems like ANY girl who's really pretty ultimately proves to be slutty. Even the one's you think are eligible for the gf status and whatnot in the end she ends up revealed to be what she is. Its like a rule.

<--jaded

You're trying to find out how to find a girl who is one? I'm trying to figure out how to find one who isn't

Link to comment

I guess that makes me a nice girl by reversing the rule - if very pretty girls are sluts, Sally isn't!

And really quite happy about that!

Love ya,

Simply non-slutty Sally

I have to argue the all pretty girls are slutty thing just because I'm with a hot chick who isn't.

I hate all the people I have to glare at every day for looking at her like that and talking to her like that. ::anger rising::

I for some reason find slutty girls less attractive. Or at least the ones who are blatantly slutty. The ones who really aren't but just behave like they are when they're required to is a completely different story :P

I don't really know why this is. The ones with moral values are the hottest ones. Maybe the playing hard to get thing works, even though they probably aren't playing at all. lol. Maybe it makes you (i.e. me) feel more powerful and accomplished and just a better person in general when you can have someone like that lol.

And I have to say, I thought the same thing too, these do sound more like feminine traits. But my theory is that straight guys tend to act pretty "gay" in front of girls

You got the one perfect chick and I'm suposed to feel sorry for you? :P

I actually prefer slutty chicks to just be slutty and we both know what we're dealin with, the whole "I'm a good upstanding girl" and then I find out you're a s lut that makes me angry if I actually liked you. I dunno. I guess it depends on what I'm lookin for.

I never feel like I "accomplished" anything because I started goin out with a nonslutty girl. I do it for the same reason (I think) most guys do #1 I don't want to worry about somebody else dippin in my personal honey pot. #2 It keeps me from looking stupid as all get out with in front of the guys who've all sampled that honey #3 do I really want to see all the spoon marks from the sampling...

Link to comment

Oh that brings back memories of my college days. Being identified as male I was expected to go around samling honey pots as Evan put it, but the honey pot that you ended up with was never supposed to have been sampled. This is a difficult position for the girls (no jokes) she is supposed to stay pure but the guys only want to sample. The advice given to the girls was, "Everyone wants a test drive but no one wants to buy a used car." Is it any wonder that women felt like they were second class citizens. Well they shouldn't have - if they had any idea how much guys loved their cars they would have realized that they were in very good company.

I dunno, the more I look around at girls, the more I realize how many of them are sluts. It's "normal" nowadays for girls to have willingly given out honey samples with lots of people by the time they're 20. I think I was the only 'straight' one in my senior class in high school who hadn't given any samples. Then again, it matters your definition of very *friendly* person. I think I'm much more strict than the average person my age. I guess I'm old fashioned.

Your metaphors are great, Evan and Sally. lol

It’s a “wedge issue”, used as a way of forcing other things quietly while making a big deal out of something that impassions others. Trans issues “stuck” when the Right threw all sorts of social strategies at the wall, it clicked with the base and now we’re here. Who doesn’t want to “protect the children”, right?   As far as fascism goes, we’re on our way with either party but it’s not a hard guess which party gets us all the way there the fastest. Frankly, I see the Left dogged by politics of conscience. The war in Israel, the status quo of Wall Street, the perpetual increase in the wealth divide, and what little is being done on the environmental front are all indicators of capitalism guiding policy and the voter base of the Left is not impressed.   The Right is dogged by (or been sold into) a persecution complex, religious or otherwise, and it has made them afraid and angry. But! A lot of the issues that cause that fear are very similar, if not the same, on the Left (see wealth divide, see Wall Street, etc.). Weaponized religion is a big difference between the voting blocks and it’s being used to create insidious identity politics. Politics like that are why the party of “freedom” wants to control who people are. Why? Because God said so.    As for the OP, everyone knows the far right agenda isn’t a grass roots cause. It’s not surprising that there is big money and croneyism at work. In fact, I’ll bet the average MAGA voter would cheer it on. Grab ‘em by the pus-pocketbook! They’re the little guys in this and they need those “few” people to do god’s work with their “hard-earned” wealth.

Hiya, I’m about to be going to my appointment to set up hrt. I have spoken with my dr about it briefly in the past, but stopped being part time and went into deep masking essentially… Now that I have decided to actually start transitioning medically I feel pressure to be a certain way which I know I shouldn’t. I searched to see if someone else had asked this question but didn’t see it posted, so sorry if it’s been asked.    Did you dress femme and or use a femme voice for your appointment to discuss starting hrt? I still feel so manly in the way I look, so I just feel so… awkward about it all. Like to mask or not to or idk uggh so unsure how to feel about it as I’m totes not ashamed of who I am but insecure about looking manly. I have a femme “baby face” but am not too tall but broad and more on the muscular side. Not saying these things take away from being a woman, just they are my insecurities.   thank you,   Madelyn Rain

This stuff gets complicated.  Capitalism replaced Feudalism…  You get enclosures, Highland clearances, the communal village culture disrupted.  Was it good?  Or was it bad?  Kinda depends on your point of view.   But I guess this is another topic.
    • Ivy
Seems like it.  But I think a lot of current "conservative" thinking is the idea of going back to earlier social mores and enforcing such. "Conservatives" seem fine with coercing others to conform to their ideals.
    • Ivy
I see the corporations controlling the government, largely through campaign contributions.   As for leftist, almost any cooperation has a socialistic component.  It doesn't need to be controlled by the government.  I see some elements of your own situation as socialist in a sense.  I suspect we have a different understanding of these things. Some people see "anarchism" as simply local control.  Radical left?  IDK.

The truth is that there's no unbiased media. Even if someone tries real hard to show both sides of the issue and remain unbiased in their presentation, their own opinions are bound to influence the piece in some way. That's simply writing, really, but it's a real pain when it comes to news of current events. It seems everyone takes one extreme or the other, and a lot of people don't even seem to be trying to hide their bias in the news nowadays. That's a problem regardless of political party.   Going completely in any one direction is a bad idea, really. The point of a two-party (or more, really) system is that multiple types of people are represented and have someone speaking up in a way they agree with. Both sides have both faults and virtues, and that's why there's both conservatives and liberals, as well as people who might be fluid between the two sides depending on the issue.     Eh, I have to politely disagree. Fascism would also mean a lot of control over things like media, and we have plenty of media outlets who will openly criticize the government based on who's in power. There's also other freedoms in our current system that would go against a Fascist philosophy. Plus, there's plenty of corporations that actively try to avoid government interventions like regulations via methods like labor outsourcing.    Also, kinda unrelated, but I've never gotten the idea of conservative support of anti-trans policy? I mean, that's more government control over healthcare, which seems kinda anti-conservative in philosophy. Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong, but to my understanding of conservative philosophy, wouldn't the more truly conservative view be to leave it to offices themselves similar to how you would leave businesses to regulate what and how they provide a good/service?

And I suppose that NPR and CNN are "fair and balanced...."  I guess its all a matter of perspective, but here we literally listen to NPR as a comedy station.  As in, WHAT PLANET do these folks live on????  So much of what is presented seems totally nuts.    There's no shortage of big money funding the Left.  George Soros, Bill Gates, the Walton family....  If they support the "climate" agenda in any way - leftist.  If they support "gun control" in any way - leftist.  If they support UNESCO, anything else from the UN, electric vehicles, vaccination, funding public universities, etc....  you get the picture.  There's a heck of a lot of leftism going on if you just listen for the buzzwords on radio and tv.  And it seems like a large portion of big corporations are using those words.   What was the original idea of Fascism?  Corporations working hand-in-hand with a government that controls basically everything.  Doesn't seem too different from what is going on today, except that we have two parties involved.

The only reason I tried Tetris, was some of my younger kids had a gameboy I had younger coworkers playing packman when we took breaks at convenience stores.  I never could get into it.  I do remember the old pinball machines in the gas stations though
    • awkward-yet-sweet
Everybody used to live that way, but not everybody is adapted to every climate.  I would be fine living like that, really.  My GF... well she'd be alive but I'm not sure about everybody around her.   If the house isn't super cold, she becomes difficult to deal with.  And the hotter it is outside, the colder she wants it inside.  Even the light bothers her, so she prefers areas without windows.  She'll work outdoors on projects, but when she's done sometimes she's bleeding from the corners of her eyes.  Her normal body temperature is also really cold.  For her, 95.7 to 96.2 is normal, and sometimes in the winter she can be as low as 92 while still appearing normal.  Arctic creature, I guess... Me, I'm fine with lower temperatures as long as I'm active.  But when I sleep, I get cold easily.
