Financial Help?

I was just wondering if there is any finical help at all out there. And if there is how do you apply for it. Because truthfuly im dead broke and I really want this.

I don't know how to reply. Its seems an easy question to ask, but no one here has replied - and I don't know why. Perhaps it's because everyone has that problem, how to pay for what we feel we must have. It's hard enough just to get the okay from the therapists - and that's what we talk about here at Laura's. I remember seeing a few posts on special programs - I seem to remember they were in a clinic in Florida offering reduced rates for those who were not able to pay full price. But that may have been at another support site. It seems we are always an unpopular group - we transsexual - with society at large. I don't see a lot of people lining up to help us - and certainly not financially.

I hope someone has more advice. As a moderator I can say it is not acceptable to ask for contributions, only for information on sources.

Seriously the reason that you haven't gotten more replies is that we are all pretty much in the sami boat and baling as fast as we can!

Mia's suggestion is certainly a starting place.

Some people find a really good friend who is willing and able to help out, I don't know where those people hang out!

Just like you found us, research and work hard until you accidentally tumble over it.

Well, Karma.....

My answer to that is to tell you what I have done......

I started saving pocket change over a couple of years..It is my "Transition Fund".

Well, I would wrap the coins and take them to the bank and started an account just for that.

As of late I had over $2,000.00....I've paid for my therapist, some clothes, I'm looking for an Endo right now and it will also come out of that fund...

I'm constantly putting into it and you would be supprised how much pocket chance adds up!~

If you don't have any pocket change it gets harder ..then revert back to the above posts...

As it goes right now I am litterally nickle-dime-ing my old self to death!
