Bought my first shoulder bag. :o

Well, since I switched exclusively to women's jeans I've run into the annoying problem of not having any idea where to put my Wallet... or my cell phone.. or my keys.. The wallet was the worst though because Ive had it forever and it has a chain on it that I would usually hide the majority of in my pocket. I just lack the pocket space to carry all this stuff around on me now! I mean if I did try to stuff all of this junk into my pockets I would look really.. really strange.

So I decided that I would grab my friend who is way more fashion knowledgeable than me, and he helped me pick out a really nice smallish shoulder bag big enough to fit everything I need inside of it, and a matching wallet. Honestly glad I got some help, as my instinct would have to have been to go with something black, he had me go with a white bag with black trim, and I have to admit it really does look better especially for spring! Was a little costly though, I swear transitioning just leaves me perpetually broke.

Anyways it's really my first purse of any kind, and it's sooo nice to finally have somewhere to put all this stuff with out trying to stuff it all into these tiny pockets! Maybe I'll take a picture of it here later tonight or something.

Ah, the first handbag. Then soon it is the second. It is all so innocent. Then you leave the handbags together by the bed, or in the chair overnight. Next morning POOF!!! you have six or eight of them. LOL! It's a girl thing. Giggle. Hug. JodyAnn

I got a lot of them early in my trans life but now i have a favorite. It's an old black leather coach bag. It holds everything so well. Just enough space for me if i keep the wrappers out. it feels right with just about anything except a really formal outfit. I never have a chance for that anyway so its been great for a year = now. Can'r leave home without it. i wouldn't ever want to put things in my pockets again.

Alright, finally got a picture uploaded, my Phone decided to take a 2 megabyte picture so I had to do some editing to get it uploaded! lol

Got it at JCPenny, wanted something that wasn't huge for now and the shape was a good fit for what I was wanting.

And yeah Jody, I actually saw a second one there that I liked and seriously thought about buying but it would have been way to expensive to get both! So I got just the one... for now.

Angel, it's pretty short. It's just big enough to go over the shoulder with some extra room. Just about what I was looking for for the time being.

Thanks Sam My sense of style tends to be a little to punky/darkish, I'll go with black 99.9% of the time. Even though there are alot of styles I like I just have no practice going out and actually going for said styles. lol

Nope not Prada, it's LuLu by Lulu Guinness.

Though to be honest my friend would totally like to get me hooked on designer stuff like Prada. lol

The other one I looked at, the same brand had a longer strap, and the bag was a bit bigger. It was so pretty but I couldn't afford both so I went with simpler for now.

Oh, it's a rule! The bigger the purse, the more the stuff. I started with really small purses, they expanded. Giggle. Then someone gave me a really big purse, telling me it made me look smaller. After I had small, medium and large, the flood gates opened. Now I have a litter of purses. Dump it out on the bed, pick the one for the day. Scoop all the needed goodies into the new one. Grab it and fly! The curse of the purse comes at bedtime, when you have to figure out what to do with what is still laying on the bed. Sometimes it's really weird treasures. No complaints here...

...other than I don't have THAT PURSE! Sooo Jealoussssss. Just kidding, it is a great purse though. Thanks for the pic. Hug. JodyAnn

Well, now that I think about it. I'm sure I could find more stuff to fill it with, and there was a larger purse that I did like but ultimately didn't buy. So I have no doubt the same thing will happen with me! LOL Though there is still quite a bit of room in this one... but I don't really own any makeup yet either.
