Setting goals

Each time I go out dressed I set a goal to do something different. The last goal has been to go to a resturant and have a meal. I've wimped out several times and today i really struggled to over come my misgivings. I was dreessed in a black maxi skirt, black peasant blouse, black hose and black pumps. Silver bracelet and 3 thin silver ankle bracelets. Not to forget my new wig(same as my last photo)Anyway Iwent to Cracker Barrel for lunch at 12:00. Very crowded but it was uneventful and very enjoyable. I still haven't been able to get my girl voice but it was not a problem that I noticed.Prior to linch I had shopped at Walmart and stopped into Barnes and Noble. It was a good day and I feel wonderful.

Wendae, I know the feeling. Sometimes we have to take baby steps, but we get there eventually because we must.

I wish you continued success!

Congrats, Wendae! I'm so glad that you enjoyed your day. The way you approached it was the same way I did. Each time out I went a little further, and tried something different. Each success led to more success. I hope all your adventures go as well.

HUGS

Well done Wendae - it does take courage, i know from when i lst came out, i looked very feminine, i bought a pin stripe blue suit, wore a white shirt and red tie, slicked back my then thick hair with a KD land type "flick" at the front - and went walking up the High Street where I lived - I went into the local gay pub and though i didnt "fit" with lesbians, many of them said how good I looked and liked what they saw as the "old fashioned butch look" - being about 53 then, i think the general idea was that i was older and therefore, though "butch" was not the done thing anymore, i was OK and tollerated because of my age - so at least being an old git, i could do what i liked, lol - that reminds me of the poem "When Im an old lady I shall wear purple" etc. - though i dont think i shall be eating 2 lbs of sausages at once or running a stick along park railings - but yeh, Wendae, you keep it up girl, enjoy yourself, life's short and those sweet moments are worth having..........x

When you don't have a friend or loved one to go with you it is always scary. But the wonderful thing is as your comfidence increases so does the elation you feel. I've never taken drugs but the feeling of euphoria I get from being out and about as Wendae has got to be the ultimate high for me.God how I hate having to revert to my macho lie.

Thanks for all of the feed back boys and girls.

Hey, if you look critically there are a whole bunch of really weird looking genetic girls out there. Compared to them, we all probably look quite good. Whatever you do, do with confidence. If you believe in yourself, others will also.

Well done.

My kids are grown now.  I realize I don't know the half of what they did.  But my parents didn't know the half of what I did either.  It's just how it works.   You kinda know, but please spare me the details.

@MaeBe, Good luck and best wishes on the new start in the Great Northwest. I don’t know a parent that didn’t call out their kids for being drunk or high as rebellious teenagers. I just told my teens that they can’t kid a kidder, and I was a teenager early 1970s we could drink legally at 18 so I have tons of experience spotting drunk kids.    As for the poetry, I liked it.  We never have enough support bras or tee shirts in the rotation.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Oh my @KymmieL, I’m sorry you’re on the job hunt again. They didn’t seem to be a good fit for you anyway. You deserve to be treated fairly and not undermined by competing owners who don’t communicate well.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Welcome to Transgender Pulse Forums.    @BobbiSkunk I’m also working through my late in life transition. You are among like minded people here. Feel free to join in on any of the threads you like. I’m sure others will drop in and say hi. Remember we’re family friendly with potential minors in the conversation so we want to keep everything PG.    Best wishes, stay positive and motivated,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Greetings everyone,   This is my introduction, I'm old and like donuts!  Let's see, what else...   I started my transition VERY recently, 5/17, after feeling like I've been uncomfortable doing it for like 20 years.  I lived in states where LGBT rights are strained, and have recently moved to a more friendly state.  I'm short, like gardening and crafts and rain.  Still a huge mixture of nervous, scared, excited and elated to finally be in a position where I can start.  I'm kind of easily excited, have the attention span of a humming bird does that to one, and usually medicate that with video games.  Not much else about me for now.  Started exercising so I can get my weight down as part of the transformation.  Still, I joined as I have questions and wanted to be with like minded folks.   Also, love trading recipes.
