After the law was passed with little opposition, a petition was created by GOP house representative Tom McMillin that puts a hold on the law. Voters will have to decide.

Counter proposal, there must be restrooms for Transgendered people in every business in town, and a fine equal to the cost of a new bathroom will be levied on any Cis Gendered person who uses them. The fines will be used to enforce the law that only TG people use them. Guess which restrooms would be cleaner.

Ugh, I wish I could say I was surprised, but the GOP is going all in on Social Conservatism for this next election cycle it seems...

But isn't that one of the main reasons they lost the last election? When are they going to stop catering to the extremist and go back to mainstream issues that really matter?

They're delusional enough to think that they lost the last election because they weren't social conservative enough. They're also the same people that think "freedom of religion" means "freedom to force everyone to become an Evangelical Christian".
