New Classes, Real Me

So, I've done enough computer technician classes. I'm done with them now. Now I'm going to take Web programming(web design) classes. None of the students from my Tech class will be in these classes. Which means no one will know me. I'm going to do a few things differently in these classes then my Tech classes;

-First of all I'm going to introduce myself with my male name.

-I'm going to use my home-made binder(my real ones still on its way) EVERY day to class.

-My voice is down enough so if i speak quietly it -may- help me pass. So I'm going to be very careful how I speak.

I'm going to do my best to pass in this class and feel good about myself. But I don't know what I should say if someone asks if I'm a boy or girl. Should I say I'm a (ugh) female, or that I'm a boy? I just don't know. All I know is I'm going to try really hard to pass now. I'm going to contact my doctor and tell her I'm going full time male.

Any tips?

My only tip is be confident, think of yourself as a male and if someone asks, you will automatically answer correctly, male! You have always been in mind and spirit and with the T your body is catching up - this is good timing for you, just be you and don't worry.

Hmmm… any tips… Well here is my 2 cents worth. If they ask, tell them you’re a Guy! If they push it for some reason, or they just don't believe you, then tell them your transgender. If you do tell them you’re a girl, wont that make it harder to present yourself as a Man the next day?

I cant speak for anyone else, but if I were ready to go full time as a women in the work place, this is how I hope I would react. I would of course try to pass as female the best I can, but if I were asked and I got the vibe I am just not passing for this person or persons then I would rather explain I was transgender then say I am a man. At least if I come out as Transgender , whether they are receptive or offended, they will expect me to show up to work the next day dressed as a woman. If I were to say I am a guy, I would find it extremely difficult to come to work the following day in a dress and face this person.

No matter what happens I think you are very brave and I wish the best of luck to you!

tell them you're a guy! Telling them you're a girl would be lying anyway. Most likely, unless they're really damned sure of themselves, they'll accept what you say. If you think they're convinced, act like you're really surprised anyone would ask. (only do this if you can act, otherwise it's a dead giveaway). And I'd say if they keep pushing just get mad like people do that to you a lot and you're sick of it. You could always call their bluff and ask if they'd like you to whip out your penis. Hopefully no one will actually take you up on that . Personally, I'd try an array of things before I'd say transsexual (gay is a good one) unless you really have to in order to avoid girl. Obviously, it's up to you. But I think it's a really great idea, and judging from your pictures you'll be fine. I don't know about your voice, but mine has strangely never precluded me from being read male, and I think they'd assume you just have a really girly voice before they'll assume further. It's all in how you carry yourself anyway- confidence is key.

I'm with cody. Saying you're a girl is a lie. To work out your "masculine response" imagine (or ask Stuv to help you -He seems cool) what a natal dude would say if someone asked that. The first thing you probably want to do is have that "what kind of stuff do you smoke" look and add the "a guy" with it lol . Give em that look like "you really don't know this?"

Congrats Zabrak! Maintain a confident demeanor and remember...guys are absolutely merciless kidders amongst each other as a general rule of thumb. A snort and chuckle (extra points if they're done in tandem) with an appropriate flip remark should get you through...if you can make it funny it's always better. You go guy, Kelly Ann

These are alot better ideas then I thought of myself. lol. I'll try to defend to the end my male gender. I got good tips how to do it now, too.

Its a good school to do this because - like I said in another thread - I'm not willing to try the dudes loo's yet and this school has a gender-natural bathroom. Its also a private collages so its smaller classrooms - less people to worry about and more work involved so less time to goof off between breaks(in most classes). I'm hoping everyone will mind their business, do their work, and call me sir if they need to borrow my pencil for a test.

Only probelm is they read out names at the start of class...and my papers for my name change still ahsn't been mailed it.

Oh and its web design class yet my teacher acts like she knows tech. She thought windows XP could only run if you had 1g ram. LOL Oh my goodness? I tried to correct her because she was tellign another student the wrong info...but she said she was right so I dropped it. She also doesn't know how to use vista at all. I tried to help a little there and again she thought she was right and I was wrong. Meh, let the lady be I guess. Can't argue with em'. I'll just let her feel cool and tell students the wrong info. lol

But you know that the real truth is you are passing because you believe in yourself and are confident, you're to busy concentrating on your studies to be worried about if you are passing so you do. The hormones help, but it is really all you!
