Lady of Light

The sun the moon the day the night

The seasons swift, the lands filled

A master artisan, craft skilled

Bleed your eyes upon the land

Of heavy sorrow, heavy hand

We need your tears to soak your womb

For adder blossom and bitter bloom

Rip your eyes from out your head

Better left to their own stead

The elder, the larger, the ever burning bright

The younger, the smaller, who has no true light

Spin a web of silken gold

To use to stitch a wound and hold

The guts from spreading filth and gore

Upon the washing ember shore

Til the Light does dim and fade

and rest is granted by coaxing spade

Let your tree be nourished then

By all your goodness trapped within
