There are so many individuals - and, by extension, groups - that see a nefarious agenda at work and believe homosexuality is being forced on them. This is just another call to arms against the "libs".

I really think some are dense enough not to understand that gay people have always been with us and have stayed hidden only because of precisely the same uninformed bigotry exhibited in the article, albeit subtly.

You can't educate someone whose entrenched in their belief system, no matter how wrong they are. I don't even

To understand these things, you have to understand the faulty premises.

First, homosexuality is seen as a choice. Same for transsexualism. The worst of them will reject all evidence that refutes this, and will even claim a secret agenda is afoot to falsify the science.

Second, there are a noisy few in the LGBT movement who are legitimately anti-family, but the average homophobe isn't aware that the vast majority of LGBT folk don't share those views.

Finally, the Bible has been twisted and misinterpreted over the years, and even if it were infallible and inerrant, the fouled interpretations are not.

I don't quite understand how protecting the civil rights of minorities has become a violation of religious freedom. The last time I read over the Bill of Rights I saw nothing in there that would lead me to believe that religious freedom included the right to oppress others who you do not like.
