I have hair on my legs, arms, armpits and my head. Tiny hairs on my chest. None that you can see in the nose or on my face yet!

The only problem is their either too small or light for people to see. When the sunlight shines on them you cant see them(they just look white and blend into my skin). I'm hoping T will make them more 'full' and visible.

When I get face hair(when it comes in thick) I want this:

fffffffffff.jpg

I always groom myself so I'll keep my face pretty clean.

My hair(head hair) and I went through alot of stanges but I like the 'full head of hair, long bangs and short back' look. I think I can pull it off until I become a old grey man when I'm 40+. Then I'll start shaving or something if I don't go bald. Or just get a really short haircut - I think they look good on older men.

Oh god, I'm so worried about going bald. My grandfather had male pattern baldness and so did my father, so hopefully I can dodge that bullet.

My hair I prefer to keep long, but I'm currently sporting a short cut. Hair all over my body (Eastern European :P). I prefer to be shaved though so should I grow more chest hair than a happy trail I'll be waxing.

Actually, that's true for all men. Baldness is carried on the X chromosome, and since the father contributes the Y chromosome to a boy the mother is responsible. I know something else must be involved though, since we have two X chromosomes and women with baldness on one chromosome don't show signs of balding. Otherwise we'd bald regardless of transition.

All the same, I know I'm at high risk on both sides of my family, and I don't want it. XP

My main fear was going bald so I slowly trimmed my head hair short.. just incase that happened so that no one would notice as much. I mostly wear hats so having it short on the sides and bald on top wouldn't have been a problem. But instead of seeing any sort of hair lose <_< I see gray I mean come on! I haven't hit thirty yet but I've the shade of gray on the side. Not even the few pieces here and there but patches. I'm extremely vain about this so most likely I'll be dyeing soon. Truthfully I would like to have the patience to grow my hair long enough to wear in a tail... which I never have had the patience to do. Having long hair is a pain and way too much work.

I'm pretty much with Zabrak on this one. I have hair on my head, arms, legs, stomach, armpits and downstairs. My arm hairs are very light and not visible usually. My leg hair is getting there, but I can't seem to grow much above my knees. Weird? My armpits actually look really good, my bio male boyfriend is quite jealous. :D I have a happy trail, and it's dark but thin. I prefer to groom downstairs. The thing I'm the most excited about once I start taking T is chest hair!! I can't wait for that!! The hair on my head...I've pretty much had the same haircut my entire life. I get it cut about once every 2 months and then just let it get shaggy in between cuts. You can see my hair in my picture thing over there.

Oh you guys are funny. You make me laugh.

Do you think Michael Jordan looks weird with no hair or Bruce Willis. Come on not every one is going to have Brad Pitt Locks. You will be perfectly masculine and perfectly handsome with or without hair, even when you are old and "forty".....

You guys sound like Wally and Beaver Cleaver..You make me feel good and light hearted,,,,,,Old people squeeze to you all....Mia B)

I didn't mention other hair my pits are the same sparse except for the line... I never grow hair anywhere normally. Before T I only had hair on the front of my legs nothing on my tighs or calfs. Now after T it looks like I have been playing with a razor and have bald patches still behind my legs. Finally fuzz is showing on my tighs and you can actually see hair on my arms without me pointing out that I am not naked! Lip hair is growing in nicely I'm actually proud of that the men on my fathers side just don't grow much hair anywhere. And a happy trail has formed though I like to think of most of it as ring around the belly button. No chast hair I do have back fuzz but it won't darken at all. Anway off to bed now.

P.S. I had nice groin hair before my hysto now it looks like I butchered myself and just can't grow the hair even. I really hopes that goes away...

Some men -and- woman(yes some can pull it off) look good with little to no hair. I just don't want to go bald myself. I'm lucky there, though, no bald men I know in my family. They all have thick, full heads of hair. I wont roll out my chances, though.

I'm just hairy, I always have been even b4 T. But wants T came into the picture it won't stop growing. I can grow a beard, my stomach is full of hair, my chest is filling in now but I shave the top of it cause it itches, I have hair all over my legs and arms, thick. I even have hair on my fingers and toes. And I wouldn't change it for the world.

my heads shaved bold, with just some fuzz on the top of my head. I have as long as I can possibly grow it arm pit hair... which is almost as thick as my dads... and pubic hair... which isn't all that thick... I have arm, leg hair, but it don't grow really on the upper parts of my limbs, YET and I have some small hairs on my belly... I want to be as hairy as possibly though when I go on t

I keep my hair clipped short. I occassionally shave my head, but I have such thick hair that I find it really difficult to maintain. I don't like my hairline and was hoping that it would receed a bit when I went on T, but so far no luck. I must be the only man ever that wants his hair to receed! lol I was always extremely hairy before T, even my stomach, so now the hair on my legs, arms, and stomach is emense. I've recently started developing little hairs on my chest as well. I would really like a hairy chest. My facial hair has developed well, and I let it grow out over chrismas into a rather patchy beard (some of you might have seen the pictures on here) but I've started shaving again recently to try and encourage the hairs to grow back thicker. Eventually I'd quite like a moustach but I plan to experiment with different facial hair styles to see what suits me when I can.

Armpit hair is totally independant of T unless you're 100% immune to it, or are amongst the less than 1% of the population who doesn't grow any at all (regardless of testosterone levels). It's androgenic hair, yeah, but both men and women grow it equally.

Same for pubic hair, only the pattern differs. And that's Tanner V (fully mature) where it differs, Tanner IV and under is more or less the same between boys and girls. The "happy trail" is a sign of Tanner V in boys/men.

Tanner stages are a measure of puberty advancement starting at 1 (pre-pubertal) and ending at 5 (adult), it concerns pubic hair, phallic length, testes size and breast growth. Not everyone reaches Tanner V, though most do.

For the record, I have no armpit hair and have never had any, not a single hair. Even though I had average (plain middle range) adult male testosterone levels...at 24. At 26, I still don't have any.

A testosterone increase should affect legs hair, arms hair, grow chest hair, perhaps back hair, the "happy trail", perhaps tummy hair, facial hair and make the skin texture coarser.

Hi, Madelyn.  Welcome to Transgender Pulse.   For my initial appointments with a therapist, I dressed androgynously.  All my clothes were from the women's side of the aisle, but were plausibly masculine.  I just didn't have the self-confidence at that point to dress fully femme.    A few months later, when it was time to see the doctor about starting HRT, I was dressing more femme.  If I recall, I was wearing pants (it was winter), but they were wine-red cords that no straight male would be caught dead wearing.      Gradually, my determination to be who I am started to dominate my insecurities.  It takes time.

You seem to be unaware of how a lot of people look at Obama.  And how he looks at himself.

Interesting, and encouraging.  But it would never work in the US because…. Socialism.

One difference between the "Right" and the "Left" that I've seen, (And it is possible that I have missed something) is the promotion of a "Strong Man" that is some kind of hero that will fix everything if we all just bow to them.  Sure, there have been dictators on the "Left" Stalin etc…   But I don't see this coming from the current "left" in American politics.  Whereas on the "Right" it's a different story.  The"right' seems to be pretty open about it these days.  It is disgusting how quickly some politicians are willing to debase themselves and kiss the ring. (I wanted to use a different term here but…) Ah, such "patriots".  And I, who was drafted, and actually served the country, am considered a traitor because I like to wear a dress. Sorry for the inflammatory rhetoric, but I have feelings.

I would like to introduce myself. I am gender fluid, which make it difficult to describe myself at any given point in time.  I have many interests: Drawing, Interior Decorating, Floral Arrangements, Seasonal Decorating, Home Improvement & Repair, Fishing, Electronics, Fiber Optics, PC Repair and configuration, Networking, Cooking, Sewing, Soldering, Auto Repair, gaming and Crafting are amongst my most cherished attributes.   I am happily married with 5 kids.  I simply wish to make aquaintences & friends with like minded individuals.  I often cross dress in private.  Because I'm fluid i teeter between masculine & feminine.  This is difficult as only my wife knows and the kids don't.    I am happy to meet you all

Welcome to Transgender Pulse Forums @Madelyn Rain   I'm very late in life and in a slow transition. I'm out to my wife, grown children and my siblings, their support ranges from reluctant to total denial of my existence. Several are totally onboard with my transition. As for my medical and therapeutic care team... I'm out and started my conversation as they have known me from the start. Manly, just starting the transition. As I've proceeded along the transition trail, my mannerisms and speech have taken on a lighter tone. I have not started any real voice feminizing yet.    My recommendation is to just go in honestly and be your comfortable self.   Best wishes,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

It’s a “wedge issue”, used as a way of forcing other things quietly while making a big deal out of something that impassions others. Trans issues “stuck” when the Right threw all sorts of social strategies at the wall, it clicked with the base and now we’re here. Who doesn’t want to “protect the children”, right?   As far as fascism goes, we’re on our way with either party but it’s not a hard guess which party gets us all the way there the fastest. Frankly, I see the Left dogged by politics of conscience. The war in Israel, the status quo of Wall Street, the perpetual increase in the wealth divide, and what little is being done on the environmental front are all indicators of capitalism guiding policy and the voter base of the Left is not impressed.   The Right is dogged by (or been sold into) a persecution complex, religious or otherwise, and it has made them afraid and angry. But! A lot of the issues that cause that fear are very similar, if not the same, on the Left (see wealth divide, see Wall Street, etc.). Weaponized religion is a big difference between the voting blocks and it’s being used to create insidious identity politics. Politics like that are why the party of “freedom” wants to control who people are. Why? Because God said so.    As for the OP, everyone knows the far right agenda isn’t a grass roots cause. It’s not surprising that there is big money and croneyism at work. In fact, I’ll bet the average MAGA voter would cheer it on. Grab ‘em by the pus-pocketbook! They’re the little guys in this and they need those “few” people to do god’s work with their “hard-earned” wealth.

Hiya, I’m about to be going to my appointment to set up hrt. I have spoken with my dr about it briefly in the past, but stopped being part time and went into deep masking essentially… Now that I have decided to actually start transitioning medically I feel pressure to be a certain way which I know I shouldn’t. I searched to see if someone else had asked this question but didn’t see it posted, so sorry if it’s been asked.    Did you dress femme and or use a femme voice for your appointment to discuss starting hrt? I still feel so manly in the way I look, so I just feel so… awkward about it all. Like to mask or not to or idk uggh so unsure how to feel about it as I’m totes not ashamed of who I am but insecure about looking manly. I have a femme “baby face” but am not too tall but broad and more on the muscular side. Not saying these things take away from being a woman, just they are my insecurities.   thank you,   Madelyn Rain
