Mistaken For A Girl.

“Excuse me miss” These were words that I heard today directed at me >.<

I was really surprised. I haven’t been mistaken for a girl since I was little.

(mistaken may not be the word to use since I am a girl, but you get the point)

I was just dressed in my usual fashion walking back from class. I had my arms

across my chest since it was cold. So I saw this lady trying to get the attention of

people walking by. Then this lady looks at me and says “Excuse me miss”.

So I walked on by holding in a huge smile. People on campus usually try to

drag people into things with my experience. Anyways, after that I was smiling

all the way back.

So I guess this means I passed without doing anything.

Just had to share this experience with everyone.

That's great!

Not only did you pass without doing anything, but without trying to pass.

You didn't approach this woman with the idea in mind of "I hope this woman thinks I'm a girl'.

You were just being you.

There is the secret to passing! Just be you!

Love ya,

Sally

YEAAAAAAAA

Happened to me twice now - and I am 6'2:

Sally is right - the sweetest times are when you don't expect it! And when you suddenly understand you are finally getting it down in just living day to day

Great for you!

That happened to me 2 years ago @ a mall in Dallas TX I was so surprised when it happened, even though I shouldn't have been 'cause I was in fem mode :P but I was happy about it for several days.

Went for a drug test for work and when they called my name they said this way miss. Are you kidding and I wasn't even thinking of passing. I laughed and they said "I'm sorry.'' I said " no no that's fine and that was cool.... B)

That is so awesome Sara especially since it was unexpected and weren't trying, being yourself works. I am sure you were walking on clouds all day, I know what it was like a few days ago when I passed on the phone so I can imagine it was even better for you in person. I am so happy for you :D .

That is totally awesome Chic. Ive been on HRT and full time for over a year and I still smile everyday when I get miss or maam. It sounds so insignificant to a gg but to us its like a a final justification of who we have always been. Rock on girl and be yourself

*hugs*
