Masculinizing The Face?

Well, as I've stated in other topics I've posted, I can't start on T till at least October. BUT, I'm starting living full time right now, and something that someone said the other day made me so mad I nearly strangled them. (I'm a natural male - more violent type, lol ;) ) I'm trying to get people at the fire hall to call me "He" and "Ray" (I'm a junior fire fighter) I joined before I started living full time, and now I'm trying to get everyone to call me Ray, but people keep arguing with me and they can't get it though their heads. I'm a guy! Boku wa otoko desu yo! (I'm not sure if I did that correctly...) anyway, I finally turned around and said "DO I LOOK LIKE A GIRL TO YOU?!" and one of the juniors said "your body does but your face looks like a girl" and I must correct this problem cause I know he's right.. somewhat... it's passable but I need to do something... So does ANYONE have ANY ideas? at all? At this point I'm desperate. >_< I'm tempted to walk around town wearing a Halloween mask! (which is an idea there..........

Sadly I don't have any good ideas beyond facial hair. Seriously though, I cannot imagine that they think your face looks feminine if your avatar is any indication. You look more masculine than I do and I've been on hormones for six months. I think the problem is that your face is rounder and makes you look young.

I think you should just blow them off, drive it into their heads that it doesn't matter. Bring up the example that if a man with a real pretty and feminine face joined up, they would make up no drama about pronoun usage, and that its all in their head about the refusal to provide reasonable respect.

Yeah, I second that. My face never looked that masculine either, and people had no problem calling me male (though it wasn't wanted either).

The only advice I can give you is shave even if you don't have to. Women have very fine hairs on their faces which is actually a very feminising thing. So shave them. It will also help to encourage the hairs to thinken when you do start T.

Keep in mind that some kids can be cruel...they might be saying it just to be mean. Alot of boys at young ages faces look girly, anyway. I wouldn't worry about it at all because if you do end up going on T it'll help shape your face.

Yeah but frankly, from the avatar, it doesn't look feminine at all to me. This smells like plain prejudice and rationalization of such by them, rather than anything else.

I don't think it looks feminine. It's hard for people to transfer what they knew as female to be male, so that could be a reason they think so. If you really wanted to, one thing you could do though is let your hair grow out a little bit; shaved heads tend to feminize our faces if not on T.

hey i have the same problem. i have learned one trick to kinda take away a little of the femine look.

find a color of mascara that is a shade or two darker than the hair on your head. take an old tooth brush and

put a thin coat on the bristles and press it against your face. do this where you should have natural facial hair.

it will create a five o'clock shadow look. if you want it to look darker like you haven't shaved for a few days

try using two shades one lighter and one darker. it will take some practice to master it but it should work.

the only drawback is that your face may be itchy from the makeup.

I have to agree with Cody_T. I have one of those faces where it all depends on how much my weight goes up and down and how my hair is. If I let my hair grow long and I've gained weight, I have more feminine features. Whereas If I cut my hair really short (military cut or short with a fade) It doesn't matter if I've gained or loss weight, I still look masculine. More if I've loss weight. So try growing it out a little and then find a masculine cut. It could make a difference.

As far as the comment, take your right hand and brush it off of your left shoulder.

Keep your head up!

Here's what I noticed about the face... I haven't taken T yet, just beginning my transition, but my face

is being masculinized significantly even without a T already. What helps is very intense gym workouts. I guess the faces I make

when dealing with hard exercises affect facial muscles and cause more masculine face appearance and expression.

Also, I have almost no body fat: then facial muscles kind of show, this gives more masculine look.

You can exercise your chin specifically as well, as biomales have more pronounced chins.

And yes facial expression matters... Girls tend to smile more and have more friendly appearance, while guys have more of a

rough facial expression and look in their eyes. (sometimes i look too mean lol)

Makeup that makes eyebrows look thicker and closer together helps too.
