Men's clothes

Mens clothes... I just don't get them. No matter how many men I stare at I just cannot seem to master the fashion. Part of my problem is shopping in thrift stores. I'm short, curvy, skinny. My waist is 28 inches as are my legs from the inseam. And because I'm forced to shop in the little boys section, I can't seem to find shirts without Lightning McQueen or Shrek plastered all over the front. Not exactly a suave look. So what I need, what I am asking, are for brand, store or size suggestions. And any tips anyone has on slimming down my bubbly bottom and hips. I need some fey masculine looks. Please assist! >^..^<

Men's fashion isn't hard (granted I'm a guy) but you can get away with a tee shirt jeans or button down shirt for almost any occasion. Men are fairly simple, or at least I am when in guy mode. As for something to hide your curves, I'd prolly stay away from skinny or slim fit pants. Maybe try a relaxed fit? Depending on your age, you can buy shirts (or pants) from a variety of stores. From khols to express to banana republic. I'm on my phone so it doesn't should where you live. But yeah if you're in the US those stores will have clothes to fit you. I shop for mens clothes at express or Abercrombie. Mainly cuz I'm tall and skinny and they sell slim fit clothes so they don't hang off me like a curtain lol. Plus they have extra small sizes for skinny short people! Hopefully this helps and I wasn't just rambling aimlessly lol

Hello Dillinger!!, i think i can give you some tips : find solid color t-shirts, those come in many sizes!!, pants for teens may come in your size if you like pants that are for like adventure, those may come with 4 pockets and some include camouflage as their are designed for men who go hunting and things like that, i ve seen men in those clothes and they dont look like kids, and look pretty manly.

kisses

Sara.

If you have Ross and TJ Max there they both have mens clothes that are often priced as reasonably as thrift stores sometimes. Many of their boys clothes work well and are in style. Sears also has some great tees in the boys section. Not the kids but the older boys. I am 30 X 30 and face some of the same challenges. I find slim fit or skinny jeans in mens work well. Lee Riders also are identical in men's and womens except for a slightly smaller waist. They go well with tees and no one has ever questioned them for me. I favor brands like Extreme Couture and Affliction which look masculine and have graphics that draw the eye. Luckily I like them too. While they are pricey at regular retailers -like as much as $60 for a tee-you can get them for under $20 if you shop the outlet stores and Ebay. Extreme Couture is actually a branch of Affliction by the way.

Did take me months to find a decent sports coat or blazer. Finally got one at American Eagle Outfitters. They have super sales and a great range of sizes. They also sometimes have coupons at their website for big discounts that you can't get anywhere else. I live on Social Security but like to look nice so I have had to find all the bargains.

Since I have been working out a lot I can no longer wear youth anything through the arms, back and shoulders and had to go to mens but found a wide variety in fit and cut that I actually like better.

I had a bubble butt and thunder thighs all my life but lost a lot of weight after I went on T and exercised but tried to stick with upper body exercises mostly except for hiking and swimming. My shoulders are now a mens medium at the smallest while my jeans are as I said 30 X 30. I'm not sure there are any shortcuts except exercise and if necessary weight loss but from your size it sounds like you nay be pretty small already. If you aren't on T yet then I think disguising the bottom an hips by building up shoulders and arms and going for a looser fit may be the best bet.

I'm more visual myself and thought some pics might show what I mean. The blue is an Affliction knockoff from Rue 21 and the other 2 are Affliction. These were taken hiking and I have to keep my jeans tighter around the foot for that because of ticks but you get the idea. This is basically my style and we all have to find our own-yes even guys. I'm comfortable with it and so far seems to work. Most people think I'm decades younger so it isn't so much old guy stuff either I think. I just wear what I like.

Men's clothes do a pretty good job as long as they are loose and not clingy. Broad shoulder in things also help because they minimize hips. The waist is less of a problem in men's clothes because they pretty much don't fit at the waist. Get jeans etc that fit lower down .

I like sweaters but found most cling to the chest and unless you are blessed with a great binder and minimal endowment can show more than almost anything else. And even with a great binder the lines can show. Knitted anything is just not usually our friend. Also they tend to be plainer across the chest with nothing to break up the line. Something with a pattern across the chest fools the eye about any shape beneath while also drawing the eye away from waist and hips.

If you have masculine body language and appearance then people aren't going to be looking at your figure so the best way to disguise it is to be the guy in your head. And don't do or wear things to call attention to the less masculine parts of you except patterns in shirts which more fool the eye..

Nope.  I live in a rural area.  Pride events are for city folks.  The normally quiet LGBTQ+ club kind of changes atmosphere during that time, and things get a bit political.  As a non-Democrat, I avoid it.

For me, definitely the size thing.  I'm 5'4" on a good day, and 100lbs.  I can pass as a teenage boy, but never for my real mid-30s age.  And since my husband looks older than his age, I'm often assumed to be his kid.  Or folks think there's something illegal going on.      Also, my lack of the typical aggressive "masculine" demeanor.  I don't really desire the typical masculine social role, nor could I do it even if I tried really hard.  I'm usually quiet and kind of timid.

I am sorry for your struggles. I cannot empathize, but I can surely sympathize. I wish only the best for you!

No, they are the only provider of services I need an my area. 😑

My size. A lot of guys aren't 5'3" at seventeen. My hands. It's a less noticeable one, but my hands are very "feminine"? If you know what I mean. My voice. Very high-pitched. I don't just sound like a female, I sound like a little girl sometimes My chest. I've had to stop binding due to frequent aches doing so, and it's not nearly small enough to just cover with baggy clothes My family. They still call me she/her, so that's an automatic out. My anxiety. I might be able to pass better if I had the courage to correct people. Instead, I'm too scared to speak up, so I find it hard. My lack of men's clothes.   Anyone else have these problems, or other ones?

From what I have read and heard most people are so.busy with their everyday lives and either looking at their phones or in a hurry to notice you out and about.

This exactly ^^^   I actually really liked games where I was required to play a male character. It felt homey, in a way.

I can relate.  I have always played a female character when given the opportunity. Not really and reason except I just alway pick them since I was young

Yes, our little town is having its 3rd annual Pridefest. I've volunteered the first two years  from setup to tear down (though I do take an hour off to eat and drink in the middle).     Then I attend a bigger one a couple towns over that has had some decent entertainment from some semi-famous folks (Laura Benanti, Patrick Wilson, Carmen Carrera, Judy Gold, etc).    This year I made sure to ask off of (weekend) shifts to attend a 3rd one where a group I'm in is in the parade.

Hi Vicky, I agree with you, so far since the time I've been under the new treating doctor's care, she prescribed me medication, but it's for children lol  luckily  my pharmacy warned me from a phone call not to take the medication.

Welcome to the party, M.A.     Sounds chaotic haha, I can confidently say that living with only two children the same age is stressful enough, much less three!
