I have two Henry Margu wigs of about the length of the Alysa style and am very happy with them. Like any synthetic wig, there are care basics to keeping it looking good and wearing it, but those are really pretty simple and come with the wig. Be sure to brush it out thoroughly before first wearing it by holding it from the front of the wig and brushing from the ends up to the wefting, then hold it by the nape edge (back), and doing the same thing. You will do this every time you wash it, and if it is not kept on a wig head. Do not be afraid if some fiber comes out each time, Henry Margu and most synthetic wigs have twice to three times the amount of fiber than they need to look good.

If that is your face in your signature picture, the wig should look very good on you.

Don't be afraid to pick a color other than your own natural color, its a psychological hit on someone who figures out its a wig and you can say you like to have FUN with the different color. That is a very feminine thing to do.

Thanks Vicky !

No it's not my face, rather it's Sarah Hamilton in Terminator 2... She spoke the line about the future not being set in my signature... She looks pensive at that point in the movie, like thinking about her future along those lines...

The wig I've chosen is a bit lighter than my natural color and it has highlights... The one in the picture actually on TBS.

Again, thanks for your comments and my avatar is really me, not being ready to show my face as it is purely masculine !

Maude -- over in my picture gallery here, I have a set of pictures I set up on where and how to wear a wig. You will have to learn where to position the wig. Go on over and enjoy it, or at least scare the termites out of the house.

Uhhh ? From the ends up ? So you brush "against the grain" if I can express myself this way ? I guess you brush from up to down but starting from the end of the wig and climbing ?

Sorry for asking so dumb a question...

Hoooo boy... Don't I wish for a delete button down this screen!

I'd remove that quote of mine in less than a heartbeat! As we often say in Québec's French: "Y'en a fumé du bon!" Meaning that one's have found some "really" good stuff and smoked it! It is said in a sarcastic way that shows how someone is quite delirious in what he said...

Dang ! Whatever I smoked when I wrote that question was "pretty pretty good"!

Please Vicky forget I ever asked!

I'll figure it out when I get the wig...

My French couldn't get me safely across a street!!

I do in fact mean to brush the wig from the ends of the fiber, climbing up to the wefting that has the fiber tied onto the wig cap that goes on your head. This separates the fiber which gives the hair body and makes it more natural looking. I learned the trick from an actual wig stylist and manufacturers rep at a TG convention.

Now you know why I have 5 years sobriety from you name it.

Ho Vicky,

I was not referring to you having consumed substances.. I was referring at my stupid question ! I know for a fact your a gentle and serious person and I wouldn't imagine you and "avoir fumé du bon!" No, the remark was entirely directed at my lack of sens when wrote my Question...

Now on another subject: it is appropriate to post a reference to a Youtube movie depicting a "very successful" transition to the point it's unbelievable the results ? It inspires me but I doubt I'll ever have the $$ ???

Here is the vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZONpd3aiSy0

That person has an amasing story to tell...

Feel free to remove the link, I sought your advice .

Thanks !

Good morning   well its big bike week this week American/Canadian made. Followed almost immediately with metric bike week.  And let’s not forget the Myrtle Beach Classic golf tournament last week.  Our business has been very busy. So much so I need to leave earlier to make certain I get my work done before I have too many people in the tpstore and can’t get it done.   Hi ho silver and away   Willow

I guess this was commonplace in females. But if your prostate gland is still in place this can contribute to urinal difficulties too.

https://www.hrw.org/news/2024/05/15/peru-chooses-bigotry-medical-services     The Health Ministry tried to put the best face on this unscientific gibberish of a decree, but it won't diminish the harm it will do to the Pervian trans community.  They undoubtedly already suffer from severe discrimination and bigotry in a very macho-opriented society.   Carolyn Marie

I'd never heard of it until reading this.  From the thread title I thought it had something to do with the state of Idaho.  But perhaps combined with something about Hobbits, which seemed odd.  My brain goes in weird directions.

I had my surgery 11 years ago, and yes, I too find it much more of an urgent thing than it ever was before.  One possible culprit is going to be T blockers if you are still on them, also the urethral sphincter which holds the pee back is closer to the urethral opening now and more subject to stimulation. When we gotta go we gotta goooooo!!

I notice that the Wikipedia article does not mention the U.S.A. which I can understand a bit.  The entire month of June here is Pride Month for all the organizations and is tied to the 1969 Stonewall Inn riots in New York and also our medical authorities are also not tied as thoroughly to the WHO as they are to the American Psychological and American Psychiatric Associations which write the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Health which is generally in line with the WHO which does not play as big a part in our medical practices here.  The WHO does not impact us the way it does the other world countries which is why we are in the dark about the day.  Ironically though, one of the U.S. States is named Idaho which sadly is one of the most conservative and frustrating to the U.S. LGBTQ Community.   The day is international though in the sense of other European and Southern Hemisphere countries it seems.

Hmm. Must have been that pesky 'International' word which made me assume that it was well known! I only became aware of it myself last year.   Brief history: May 17th is the day IDAHOBIT is acknowledged as it is the anniversary of when in 1990 the World Health Organization declassified homosexuality as a mental disorder. It was conceived in 2004 and first celebrated in 2005. It has gone on to include trans folk in 2009 and bi folk in 2015.   International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia - Wikipedia

A year and a half post op. I've noticed that once the urge to pee hits, I can only hold it for about 15 minutes or so until it gets to the point where I feel like I'm going to piss myself. I used to be able to hold it a lot longer (as I  remember it).  I know my urethra is a bit shorter now, but I don't think it is enough to account for this. Am I imagining it?

What a great moment @Vidanjali! It's always so cool knowing people are reading you in a way you want to be seen.

It's also networking.  Sometimes jobs come along because someone knows someone else - these older people might know someone.  "Hey, Ashley," someone might say,"My nephew is looking for love. He likes tall women. Whatcha think? Can he call you?"   Don't discount their ability to match make.  It is about networking.

He is simply doing to get more votes. He held a Trump for trans during his first run and found out the majority of his voters were against us so he simply followed the crowd.

The sad part is I'm the third oldest member. One is in their 60's and the other is past 70's. I'm even older than the president lol. It's a younger crowd that's for sure. I like to come here to feel young again lol.
