Difficulty scheduling laser

I've been hoping to start laser very soon since I finally have the money to do so and am sick and tired of spending 40 minutes shaving every single day (and having to wear makeup every day). I found a place in Utica, but every time I call I get their answering machine (don't want to leave a message - the last thing I need is to handle transition-related phone calls at work, where only HR and security know I'm trans). I also sent them an email, but they haven't replied. What should I do? I'm very impatient and infuriated that the door to removing my beard hair appears to be closed. Electrolysis isn't an option since I'm already full time and can't deal with the requirement to grow out a beard between treatments or the additional time it takes.

keep trying, go to every place in town first to see where you like it best and then make your pick.. don't chase businesses that don't care about calling you back. If they don't even care for your money, what makes you think they'd care about you if something went wrong?

I do wish I was in a bigger area, since there aren't ANY places where I live (Rome; Utica is an hour's drive round trip). In Utica, there are three; one has a bare-bones website that didn't impress me at all and is in a bad part of town, one is impossible to find on Google Street View, and then there's the one mentioned here that won't get back to me. Other than these three, I'd have to make long drives to Syracuse (two hours round trip).

I am in that position. Full time for 1 1/2 + years and looking for something at least semi permanent without the need to have facial hair still present as with electro. Is it true you cn be clean shaven (they remove the makeup) to do laser. The trade off (I know) is that laser is only semi permanent

Not just can... it's a requirement (at least according to my place). Having stubble with the laser only wastes energy (thereby decreasing effectiveness) and increases the chances of burning.

Hi Valerie,

I have had a lot of laser on my face and I was always clean shaven wearing Make-Up.

Before treatment, the tech would remove my make-up, and after the treatment I would re-apply it.

They also used lighted magnifiers and magnifying glasses to help see the hairs.

Hugs,

Carla
