Binders for V-Necks?

I'm a guy who is very fond of wearing v-necks, but all of the binders I've looked at look like they would show in a v-neck. So, I was just wondering if anyone could tell me about a binder that you could wear with a v-neck? Thanks y'all.

The Spanx type compression shirts for males work pretty well and have them. I wear a couple of athletic compression shirts -Under Armour is the only brand I know works-most of the time and they do have some that are v neck as well. Otherwise some binders are cut into a deep enough scoop at the neck not to show with most v necks.

underworks has a v-neck binder shirt that I've been generally very happy with. :3

I got the cotton concealer v-neck binder. It works well for me, though I'm small-chested, so amount of compression has never really been an issue for me.

Cheers

Well I have a slight issue here. I have always been a rather generously busted person and I was wondering if anyone can give me some ideas about how to go about binding a DD chest? I am probably in a rather hopeless position here. Short of not having them, are there any binders that deal with this well? I looked a while ago for binders and right now I have tried to bandage them but they are still a problem. I would rather wish to have as flat a chest as possible.

Binding is inherently dangerous and if not handled carefully WILL lead to serious health problems including not being able to ever bind again or even deformation. We get threads here about guys who have ended up with serious damage or in the ER. Bandages are one of the most dangerous things you can use and will cause damage eventually.

Don't know what size you are but guys seldom have flat chests-especially not past early teen years. It's a big thing right now for guys to get silicone injections to have bigger pecs. Also binding tightly usually actually makes you look less masculine for several reasons. It also compresses the ribs and overall chest as well as the things you want gone so that you have a smaller chest to hip ratio which is decidedly less masculine. It makes you less able to move freely with male posture and body language which are critical and it also creates these squishy lumps no guy ever has. Or worse the really weird looking uniboob. No matter how you arrange them movement will cause yur moobs to shift to the center with most binders and then they just look bad and strange.

When I was still overweight and at least a D on top someone gave me a zip front Underworks swimsuit binder. Best gift I ever got in my life because the front zipper stops the uniboob and things seem to rearrange themselves less than any other binder I have ever owned. I still wear it over 100 lbs lighter when dysphoria really kicks me and I decide to go with a binder instead of a couple of athletic compression shirts. After losing a couple of hundred pounds-150 of it on T -my chest is barley maybe a B. Breasts are primarily fatty tissue and a female fat storage area so when you lose weight on T it is one of the places you lose fastest often. Which is why some chest surgeons require a year on T before removal.

I usually just wear the compression shirts-only Under Armour and a size smaller than I am -and no one has ever misgendered me for it or even looked at my chest. I also worked out to develop upper body muscle so that what I have looks more natural and normal for my build.

I realize with DDs some binding is necessary -but overbinding isn't going to work. It will restrict you physically, endanger your health and actually make you look less masculine. You can wear loose clothing and layer and then force your self to stand tall and straight ad no one will even look much less notice. Watch women watching men-or even the way men look at other men as they approach. You will never see anyone look at the chest except when something is off like overbinding and calls attention or a body builder type in a muscle shirt.

As transmen we tend to get really hung up on our chests -they are a symbol psychologically I believe as well as giving us something we can focus on and address that is far more concrete than attitude and body language. But overall they will not keep you from being seen as male or make you more masculine wither. Do your best to minimize them and then just be the guy you are. I guarantee no one else will notice them as much as you do

Thanks Johnny that was really helpful! I think that I should lose some weight and that would help with the chest issue. I was much more able to deal with a size B than a DD when I was 140. I think I am going to look into going on T so that I can not feel um out of place. One of your posts on compression shirts helped me also. I found one that does not seem to cost all that much. I am going to give it a try. I definitely will have to begin to work out so that I have more upper body that is appropriate. Thanks again for all your help!
