It was in every way the best night I have had in a long time. Rewind for a sec...... Morning time. My usual wake up frantic start to a day. Involving a tornado of clothing, an eagles eye scan and clean up of the face. Hair in a messy bun and do my eyes. Then maybe a mini clothing tornado and finally I emerge in my brown 2" heeled knee highs, dark wash skinny jeans. A cute hat, hip length fall coat ( makes my hips look fuller) and my pretty earth tone scarf.

The work day was long and drawn out. We had a 200 person buy out at the restaurant and I was in lead of pastries. We were prepped well ahead so most of the night was spent in waiting for our turn to plate desserts. Seemingly just another ordinary day.

I got changed to go home and one of our servers stopped me. She is a beautiful woman with a huge smile and fun personality and she had to let me know how amazing I looked. I felt great and we passed around some jean talk as I left. I went around to the restaurant doors and there was about 20 or more men milling about, looking satisfied after we had worked all day to feed them. Eyes locked on to me as I went inside to talk to my roomy working as hostess. We laughed and communicated with those subtle girly sounds and gestures as we both acknowledged the attention that I, me, THIS! hot cougar was getting. I felt flush and energized and loving how my day is ending. It did not stop there.

I had to get some money out from the ATM for a store run as I needed a bit of something before going home to wash up and sleep. Both machines were in use and there was a girl in front of me. As one guy got his cash, he stepped back to wait on the other guy when he looks at me. He comes over and asks me if I have a brother in town. I said no, but I do have brothers. So he checks again, asking if I am sure as he could swear I have a brother working at Araxi ( the restaurant I work in lol ). I made it to being the sister to my past male self haha... Kind of weird but I like it none the less.

So I have my money. The work night ended an hour earlier than a normal service would so there were some smaller eateries open that are normally closed when I am done. I walked past one of them and my friend saw me through the window. I have not seen her since the first week I started HRT and she had to do a double take as she realized who was really walking past. She ran out to see me and was excited for how much I had changed. It was a super special ending to an average day and was a really good boost to me as a person as a woman.

That is a fantastic story. Really made my Friday morning start off good!

I hope that one day people think I am my brother's sister. I'm sure you must be on cloud 9 right now :).

What an amazing story -thanks for sharing it. I can see how you are on cloud nine, I might be on 10 or 11 if that had been me. I never tire of hearing success stories like this, it motivates me even more.

Thank you for your story. What fun it is being ourselves! Even better when others react so nicely to the change. Enjoy!

Hugs,

Charlie

I attended my first public event with crowds. I was nervous! It was the Pride Month event down here. It’s finally official I’m a volunteer.

@LittleSam I dress pretty stereotypically masculine too, it's comfy! But sometimes I feel like being fancy and bright like a peacock so I do that. Being a peacock is fun :D  Plus I always think it's so weird that people believe certain genders can't do certain things, because why does it matter so long as no one is being hurt and the person doing the activity is happy? Basically, I think worrying about that stuff just causes a lot of unnecessary stress.  I don't really see myself as genderfluid mostly because my gender is pretty static, or I'm always masculine and not at the same time all the time. With that being said I can absolutely see how it relates! Especially since I think it makes perfect sense to go between feeling gendered or genderless, to put it broadly.  Overall, labels are our best attempts at describing hard to explain concepts like gender and sexuality, which are both really fluid and vary a lot from person to person. I went from trans man, to trans masculine, to agender, and back to trans man, so I essentially just went in a circle, but I learned a lot along to way.

I personally don't understand how wearing panties is comfortable for much of anybody.  I'm AFAB, but there's just too much naturally, um...down there....for panties to be comfortable.  Consequences of being intersex, I guess.  I'd suggests some slightly-looser shorts instead.  There are some that are marketed to women, but have a kind of androgynous look to them.  Wish I knew a brand name, but I could ask my friends.  Both of my trans friends are non-op, so they have no doubt experienced how you're feeling.   Ugh... I get really irritable when GF keeps trying to put me back in female underwear because she says I "look pretty" that way.  I never thought I looked pretty that way or any other way, and the pinching/pulling/chafing combined with the overly-noticeable outlines of....stuff.... just makes it no-go for me.  Last time she approached me with an underwear item, I warned her she was going to get bit.

I don't think so.  People may disagree with me, but I don't believe there's such a thing as "gay culture," "trans culture," "White culture," "Hispanic culture," or similar terms because those are really big umbrellas.    My background is Greek, and I live in the Mid-South part of the USA.  I share some of my trans-ness with my trans friends, and some aspects of our backgrounds and beliefs are similar.  But honestly, its impossible for me and the average trans person from California to agree on much of anything past the color of an orange and the fact that we don't quite fit in our bodies.

Just heard from surgeon. Surgery successful and she's awake and resting well. Spleen was large about only about 100ml blood loss, probably all from bleeding into the mass & not from any rupturing. Dr didn't see anything else worrying except a liver nodule which she biopsied although she suspects the nodule is just age-related. She's anemic but they're holding off on blood transfusion for now bc they believe she'll recover naturally. About a week to get biopsy report. And Dr said if she continues to do as well as she has so far, she may be able to come home tomorrow. So best news possible so far. ❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️
