A Good Lipstick?

Not MAC, it's too expensive. Can you ladies recommend a good lipstick that really stays on that would be easily found in a drug/grocery store? The one I have now comes off on my wine glass. I need something better, bolder, and stays put. Thanks ladies!

I love my Clinique (not drug store sorry) which stays on well. A friend gave me another color and brand to try and like you said, it was coming off right and left plus if I got a little off when applying, it only smeared when I tried to wipe away the problem.

I don't have a lot of experience with lipsticks, but from my limited experience there really does seem to be a real difference in the more expensive brands.

Good luck I hope you get some good suggestions, I will be watching to try them myself.

Go to either Sephora or Ulta and go for some of the small brands they have. I actually use Cover Girl and get good mileage. Also think of a lip stain and a lacquer!! They last longer than just lipstick but the lacquer can be a bit odd the first times you use it.

As far as lipstick coming off on wine glasses, did you know it is OK for a LADY to use a short little straw (like a hollow coffer stirrer) when drinking a drink at a bar? It is, and looks classy and does not destroy lipstick. Keep a couple in your purse or just ask the barkeep for one. I no longer drink alcoholic drinks, but even my tonic and lime twist can be done that way. It saves the lipstick for more important things!! (evil grin).

I use a Revlon color and lipstick with which i've grown so comfortable. I can get it at the supermarket. It comes off on my coffeecup but i like seeing that. It marks my cup so nobody walks off with it. Once you find one you like make sure you save the name, brand and color. I tried liners stains and different brands but, for now, the one i wear softens my lips and adds what feels like the right bit of color for me.

I'm afraid the artistic streak in me pushes me to mix lipsticks to get a different colour every time - dependant on how I feel. This is often 3 different brands. I get it to stay fairly well through most of the day by using Lipstick Lock from Rimmel. I find it better than Lipcote which I have also tried. The only brand I have found it is not good with yet is Gosh.

I don't know about availability in US
