I recently posted this on my body mod board and got some great responses there.

Body modders change their physical appearance drastically to create a sense of either self satisfaction or to improve their appearance, so many reasons but like trans people they see a place they need to be and they change thiner bodies as many trans people do, to fit into their idea of being. To create a true self. That element of creating your own life and being the god in charge of your own destiny inspired me to write and share this so I hope you all enjoy.

Thanks :)

This occurred to me very recently.

As a satanist (spiritual) I've had the goal of advancing my existence and restoring the idea that humans are capable of anything without fear or limitation and I've realized a lot of that through my own psychological and physical transformations.

However I can't shoot fireballs from my hands or fly yet ;) ok so I get it. We're not ready for that kind of reality and a five year old girl helped me to see that today.

She saw my hair, maybe a few of you saw what I did last night. I'm an artist and I put extensions in. This girl sees me every day and sees me bald most times but a few times with black extensions. Today I have platinum hair down my back.

She asked in awe if I colored my hair and I replied simply that I put new hair on. She was awe struck. (new hair?)

Then I realized it's a kind of alchemy that totally transforms my appearance the way I alter it so drastically and often.

True magic is the manipulation of our environment, a gift no other creature has. Usually this is done within limitations. We all put on clothes or style our hair but not many guys are andro hermaphrodites that one day have long hair like me. Thats a change out side the norm.

All modders do that to some extent, we modify our bodies outside of a norm. Alter reality in a way that is to some still strange and unusual.

The true nature of magic is first removing the simple limitations like I have. The idea of gender as a manufactured hermaphrodite is first. The most sacred and mystical of beings created from the flesh of a single sexed person.

Accepting a second gender into my body and nurturing it into dominance over my born biological characteristics. That is huge for a change out side limitation.

Even when boys started wearing pink and dressing more femme that was a change an evolution. We don't grow thick fur or better beaks, we evolve in our ways of breaking norms and becoming the creative masters of our own reality. We do have the power to change and alter our reality in many ways and this is the magic of humanity.

I'm sure we all want to evolve into something unspeakable like flying and using telekinesis but to get to that point, which I firmly see as possible, we need to understand the nature of what we already do that is as I said, a great form of alchemy. Changing lead into gold isn't as easily done as changing man into woman but the later can be done today. People aren't very accepting of the idea but thats because of ideas that promote rule and limitation.

Think if there were no one else, no job to have to look good for, no spouse whos tastes to impress, what would you do to your body, appearance etc.

A lot of us are ready to move into the next evolution, we alter our bodies and show them every day as humans in society who have inflicted some times unacceptable changes upon ourselves but we force, myself particularly others to see this and accept that not only is it possible to do this but that people do it every day.

We change this world and create it to make it our own. We have the essence of the creator and the freedom, should we choose to accept the responsibility, to alter in in any way we see fit.

As we grow we will one day adapt to do many things we can't even think of today.

Thinks we may see as immoral like Doctor Rosenburg's human wings. We all know a lot of us would do that in a heart beat!

One day we might even have functional wings. I'd like a tail like my rat, she can hold things with it! Come on single parent of two here, what I would do to have an extra hand or ten.

We are the creators, nature does not evolve us, we evolve nature. With the force of a meteor we've changed this planet and everything on it.

Think of that kind of power and accept it as your own because that is the nature of the creators magic. Which we all possess.

As simple as transforming a pile of Popsicle sticks into a bird house. We are amazing creators indeed. We just over look it.

I am an amazing, magical creature. I have transformed myself to be such. I'll get off my high horse when harry potter flys at me.

Don't see that happening but in the same respect...

Growing up we had sci fi even Jules Verne invented submarines and wrote of helicopters! We have them today. Just as we have ipods (like star trek has those little things they read from) and bio scanning devices, sure not tricorders but computers started off taking up a whole room and now we fit those in our pockets, hand held bio scanners aren't impossible. Now with fantasy fiction you see more elves about, more cat people, we dream it we become it. Maybe one day we'll all be something fantastical but stop for a moment now and realize that is the magic of creation, given unto humanity.

It is late at night or early in the morning depending on how you perceive time.

A rather long read and as usual you have forced me to think - Evil One!

You know how that makes my head hurt, now I'm going to have to take an Alieve and go to bed.

I forgot, my ex took all of the Alieve with her and without her I haven't had a bad headache in four months!

Love ya,

Sally

Oh dear I'm sorry, I wish I had some spare to shoot your way hun.

I meditate and think a lot, the kind of stuff I write is the kind of stuff that is constantly in my brain.

People wonder why I smoke funny things....to stop thinking so damned much.

Didn't smoke this week. Wrote a lot :)

As a former Adept in The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, I understand all to well of what you speak, i.e. 'creating changes in Reality in accordance with Will.' When I attempt to point out to someone that we are all 'God,' I watch them cringe and grovel: not before me but in fear of 'The Great & Powerful' that their parents, teachers, and basically all of the adult world used to frighten them as children. I shake my head as they withdraw from me, not wishing to 'get any on them.'

The truth is that Divinity (and in particular that aspect known as 'The Creator,' has lived many lives, each time seeking to evolve further. It dwells in us, sharing in our experiences. It observes the world with our blind eyes & limited understanding. And It worships Itself in our rituals, at the same time receiving our praise.

But the process of Creation goes on, got that? No Seventh Day R & R!

We are equipped to carry on. But only by gratefully acknowledging and finally using our gifts will we and our world rise in the Light. And only by embracing (and returning) the love of The One in It's many aspects (as Divinity is 'The One & The Many) and appreciating without fear our gifts and obligations, will we come to love ourselves and act on that love.

Or something like that. (Just kidding!)

Anyway, thanks for you thought provoking post.

I have been drawn more to chaos magick, practicing for more than a few years now, and for me it has all been as much about transformation of the self as it has been about creating change in the universe around me.

As well it should be: Thaumaturgic versus Theurgic magick, to be specific.

I am curious to know how many other transgender people are out there nowadays who practise the "art". I do know that historically, transgender people have been considered as highly spiritually gifted in various different cultures before the spread of Abrahamic monotheism. In most traditional Native American societies, for example, trans people are referred to as "two-spirited" and are seen as powerful healers and shamans. And changing one's sex is pretty powerful magic indeed!

As I mentioned, I was an adept in the G.D. for a number of years and never met another Transgender, Androgyne, Genderqueer, or Drag Queen.

Looking back, I have to wonder who was lying. I mean somebody had to have been keeping a secret. At the time, I was. Turns out, a number of people had wondered about me.

I attend a medical day-centre in Texas for needed medical services. It's religious oriented, so not gender fluid friendly. I of course dress 100% in female attire yet androgynous to keep both "them happy", and I really don't mind.    I of course am imposed rules that no other participant is bound by. The examples are the allowed size of my backpack, or how many visits per day I can see my Representative payee.  The gender neutral restroom use was a compromise that all off us have agreed to.  Not being able to wear tanks tops or shorts that aren't "Bermuda length" are other examples of where I am restricted more than any other participant. "Bra talk" is strictly forbidden, even though their doctor and occupational therapist were the ones that told me I needed support due to neck pain.    I found myself being reprimanded by staff three times yesterday for very petty details, and they have constantly pushed for me to remove myself from the program voluntarily. I am of course someone not welcomed in the program, but federal discrimination laws prevent them from removing me. They instead are just making life miserable with the hopes that I will leave on my own.

Nope.  I live in a rural area.  Pride events are for city folks.  The normally quiet LGBTQ+ club kind of changes atmosphere during that time, and things get a bit political.  As a non-Democrat, I avoid it.

For me, definitely the size thing.  I'm 5'4" on a good day, and 100lbs.  I can pass as a teenage boy, but never for my real mid-30s age.  And since my husband looks older than his age, I'm often assumed to be his kid.  Or folks think there's something illegal going on.      Also, my lack of the typical aggressive "masculine" demeanor.  I don't really desire the typical masculine social role, nor could I do it even if I tried really hard.  I'm usually quiet and kind of timid.

I am sorry for your struggles. I cannot empathize, but I can surely sympathize. I wish only the best for you!

No, they are the only provider of services I need an my area. 😑
    • RaineOnYourParade
My size. A lot of guys aren't 5'3" at seventeen. My hands. It's a less noticeable one, but my hands are very "feminine"? If you know what I mean. My voice. Very high-pitched. I don't just sound like a female, I sound like a little girl sometimes My chest. I've had to stop binding due to frequent aches doing so, and it's not nearly small enough to just cover with baggy clothes My family. They still call me she/her, so that's an automatic out. My anxiety. I might be able to pass better if I had the courage to correct people. Instead, I'm too scared to speak up, so I find it hard. My lack of men's clothes.   Anyone else have these problems, or other ones?

From what I have read and heard most people are so.busy with their everyday lives and either looking at their phones or in a hurry to notice you out and about.
    • RaineOnYourParade
This exactly ^^^   I actually really liked games where I was required to play a male character. It felt homey, in a way.

Yes, our little town is having its 3rd annual Pridefest. I've volunteered the first two years  from setup to tear down (though I do take an hour off to eat and drink in the middle).     Then I attend a bigger one a couple towns over that has had some decent entertainment from some semi-famous folks (Laura Benanti, Patrick Wilson, Carmen Carrera, Judy Gold, etc).    This year I made sure to ask off of (weekend) shifts to attend a 3rd one where a group I'm in is in the parade.

Hi Vicky, I agree with you, so far since the time I've been under the new treating doctor's care, she prescribed me medication, but it's for children lol  luckily  my pharmacy warned me from a phone call not to take the medication.
