Progression Over Time

I've been full-time and on hormones for three years (well, almost). I'd like to know what you think of pictures of me. Some are somewhat old, others more recent. I transitioned to full-time at 23 years 8 months old (mid-April 2006) just so you know the age cut-off.

This is at 2 years old in my mother's arms. The resolution is small though.

This is at 3 years and a half.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar.../100_0457-1.jpg

This is at 4 years old.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar...al/100_0455.jpg

This is at 8 years and a half. My haircut sucked. This is a first communion - thankfully everyone wore the same. I'm the short one with the weird haircut near the middle.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar...al/100_0452.jpg

This is at 16 years old, the dog was about 1-2 years old and the favorite of the family, a cross between a miniature poodle and a bichon.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar...al/Sara1998.jpg

This is at 19 years old, in the house we used to have's basement. Notice how long the t-shirt is.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar...a2000or2001.jpg

This is at 20 years old, at a Christmas party.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar...ristmas2002.jpg

This was at the same time, you see more than me in the picture. My aunts' husband and boyfriend as well as my cousin on the couch. I gave that vest away when I went full-time.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar...helXmas2002.jpg

This is at 22 years and a half, at my father's mother's place. This was a few months after learning about trans's existence. I'm not shaved on the pic (6+ weeks unshaved).

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar...al/IMG_0737.jpg

This is at 23 years 7 months old - 1 month before full-time. The t-shirt was a men's medium.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar...al/Photo005.jpg

Hair from the back also at 23 years 7 months old.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar...al/Photo006.jpg

This is at 23 years 8 months old - 1 week before full-time. First time wearing girl's clothes. The hair style was done by a friend and I liked the zig-zag part.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sara_Zeal/Sara.jpg

This is at 23 years 10 months old - 2 months full-time.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar...al/100_0007.jpg

This is also at the same time, I'm not sure how the pose looks.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar...al/100_0038.jpg

Also at the same time, my hair when brushed. This was before the dyed portion was cut (just a month later).

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar...al/100_0079.jpg

This is a month later, at 23 years 11 months old - 3 months full-time. My first skirt. The door was undersized (so was the ceiling).

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar...uly19th2006.jpg

This is a week later, I was almost 24 years old. My second skirt.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar...uly28th2006.jpg

This was on August 28th 2006. My first dress. It is a lolita fashion dress.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar...ra1stdress1.jpg

This is in September 2006, at 24 years 1 month old. Before I got my bangs cut. You can see my acne is going away.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar...ara11-09-06.jpg

This is around the same time as the last one, but with my bangs cut. Notice the difference?

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar...l/withbangs.jpg

This is in November 2006, at 24 years 3 months old. The acne was all gone. This is when I stopped receiving stares or comments. My being seen as a cissexual girl was near always then (I estimate 95%). I filled most of my bra too, which no doubt helped.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar...al/100_0508.jpg

This is later in November 2006, we were going to a restaurant, and I felt like dressing up.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar...al/Photo046.jpg

This is January 1st 2007 at 24 years 5 months old. Extended family thought this was too sexy for New Year's (and the cold weather).

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar...st2007third.jpg

This is the end of January 2007. I like the vest there, and it was pretty cheap.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar...20072ndshot.jpg

February 2007 at 24 years 6 months old. The first dress again, 6 months later.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar...2fvrier2007.jpg

Late February 2007. Before my hair was dyed with blonde streaks (I still have some natural blonde).

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar...Feb28th2007.jpg

Early March 2007, after the haircut...I wasn't too fond of it, for a month, I felt it looked like a wig. To this day I also regret the layering they did, it really makes getting trims harder.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar...h3rd20071st.jpg

One of my best pictures apparently, in March 2007.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar...arch28th5th.jpg

I don't have a very defined waist or a hourglass figure, but I think this t-shirt is flattering. Also March 2007.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar...ShySara0307.jpg

A month later in April 2007.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar...al/Photo020.jpg

In May 2007.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar...l/May9th7th.jpg

A sideview in June 2007. Tell me if you can see an Adam's apple.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar...19th20072nd.jpg

December 2007, after brushing my hair. I'm 25 on this one.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar...Dec4thlater.jpg

April 2008, this is where I live now. We had moved in only a little while before.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar...pril1st2008.jpg

Still April 2008. This is my profile picture.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar...pril1st2008.jpg

Same time. I don't think the outfit is too flattering since I look square.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar...l5th2008004.jpg

Latest dress, on October 31st 2008. I went a bit over the top for this picture. I hope to have a more casual shot sometime soon. I'm 26 on this one.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a213/Sar...al/Photo056.jpg

December 2008, the most recent I have.

Sara,

I don't know how I managed to let this one slide past me for so long, but I looked at all of the photos today - you look great and your hair is fantastic.

I will give you a tip for your next photo, if you want to look more feminine in photographs - turn your body to a 45 degree angle to the camera turn the foot closest to the camera directly toward the camera (Even if your feet won't show - it redistributes your weight and helps avoid that 'stiff' look) turn your head toward the camera and tilt it slightly toward the camera - that's from a pro, that's what I do for a living - it works!

Love ya,

Sally

Please do NOT wear that "1st dress" or last pink dress again. XD I don't know how to say this, but sweetie, you're too old for that. ;( I'm gonna have to call the fashion police. everything else looks pretty good. :P

Hey! It's lolota fashion, it does look weird, but so what?

Also the pic with the pink dress? It was taken on October 31st, so I modified the outfit a bit.

1) I had not received the bloomers that I had ordered to come around the same time (from another store, US-based, the dress came from Japan). Mail problem. So not wearing in the pic, it would make the skirt a bit more puffy-looking.

2) I had not received the headdress that I had ordered to come around the same time (from the same store as the bloomers). Same mail problem. Also not wearing in the pic, replaced by pigtails...which I won't do again since it hurt like hell (I wore them all day at work).

3) Cotton tights worn in the pic because of the cold temperature. I'd normally worn white knee-hi socks.

4) Leg-warmers worn in the pic because of the cold temperature. I'd normally wear nothing over the socks.

5) Shoes were limited, but you basically need flats to go well with such a dress. Heels may work, but they're not in the same style really.

Here's another photo, taken in February 2009.

The kitten lives with us, but isn't mine, she's my little brother's (I have another myself):

Wow is all i can say Sara, the progression of photos is remarkable and in such a short amount of time. I hope in two years i can look as feminine as you do.

I like cats too and just got two this past Saturday.

HUGS!

Well to be fair, my progression going "so fast" is because I didn't get much of a male puberty in the first place. Reversing what amounts to nearly nothing isn't hard. Overriding what amounts to nothing is even easier.

So I went from androgynous and slightly boyish to definitely girlish. It might seem like a big push, but I was already pretty close to that - I was able to pass with a coat on before having breasts, and I wasn't even trying to.

Good news is that I have nothing serious going on. The blood was coming from internal hemorrhoids, and the doctor says it's from the "typical American diet." Too much fat and carbs but not enough plant based fiber. A few other things were noted and biopsies on them for safety sake.    Hospital visit was grand with "most" of the staff addressing me as female. I did have "bra talk" with one of the CNA's. Even my discharged papers use my preferred name on them (Birdie).   So basically, adding more fiber to my diet will eliminate my internal hemorrhoids as well as lower my risk for cancer.

For that part, be glad you live in MS and not in CA or some other "paradise."    Unfortunately, right now in the USA it is about choices.  Choose to live in a mostly free state that doesn't want my gender to exist, or choose to live in a leftist place that accepts my gender but not my family or my faith, or how I want to live my life or the stuff I own.   As for the lawsuits... hiring a lawyer costs money.  And a "no fees unless you win" attorney probably won't take a case like this, as it is difficult to get money from folks who often don't have anything.  As they say, "it is hard to get blood from a turnip."
    • awkward-yet-sweet
There's a couple of things.  First, since so many LGBTQ+ folks often vote Democrat, it is simply assumed that "LGBTQ = Democrat."  And to many, Democrat = enemy.  The fact that some of us don't vote for Democrats comes as a surprise to many.  You wouldn't believe how many different times I have had to explain how I vote, that I don't like Biden, etc...   And then, there's the flamboyant, over-the-top appearance and behavior of some.  When average folks see strange dress, wild colors, and the occasional provocative behavior in the news, they assume that it is the norm and that all LGBTQ+ folks are like that.  To them, "LGBTQ = weird."    I think that @Abigail Genevieve is right, part of it is lousy marketing.  And that will take a ton of undoing, because it has been going on for years.
