ok so i started my perod when i was like 16 but it was way random and had no pattern

so the doc put me on the pill, been on it for 2 years now, but i stopped taking it 6 weeks ago

but i havent had a period since

its been great but now im starting to get worried should i go to the doctors?

but i dont want to go back on the pill again, as im looking to transition

I don't know how it works, but if you build up whatever chemicals in your system, it could take a little while for them to come back. six weeks is only enough time for one cycle, so I think there's still time for it to come back, especially if you said it was really irregular. Maybe wait a little while before going to the doctor, if you do want to.

The only thing I can say is that(even if I'm far from a doctor of any sort) it sounds like Cody_T has a point - chemicals can take time to be flushed out of your system.

Leo always go to the Dr.

Never self medicate and you aren't but never self diagnose and you might be.

Dr's. really are better than we at diagnosis and evalution...Mia.

(God help me, why do people need to title threads with that word lol Don't you know it stresses me even to hear it lol)

Hmm.

With your bone structure, shoulder width, and how late and then irratic that was what I would be thinking of is having your natural homone levels tested pre-T AND having your chromosomes checked.

16 is rather late when you think of most of todays adolescents having that anywhere between 10 and 12 and if I remember reading correctly the extraordinary lateness is sometimes part of intersexing; some types of which would be "mild" enough to give you in appearance all the "normal" apparate and not have you have really any "drastic" reasons to look for it (like illness). Who knows, it might be sufficient to tip the scales in your favor with the docs and the insurance company if it were so. Either way though, keep an eye on it even though (as I was told) "When it goes away we don't really worry, its when it becomes too often that we get concerned. Those are the danger indicators." Still and all a doc is the best bet. As they say "he who has himself for a patient has a fool for his doctor."

That's odd. Maybe you should see if you could consult your doctor over the phone or something?

I'm having a sort of similarish issue. Mine has always been regular, since the first time I got it, and now it's almost 2 weeks late. Weird. XD Maybe all the Pre-T ftms are just suddenly boycotting our reproductive organs!

Uterus: I want to bleeeeed.

Ftms: No. You don't exist, no bleeding allowed!

Uterus: ...Okay then.

=D A foolproof theory. =P

Sounds reasonable to me. Mind over matter.

I'm no authority, not being a natal female, I have no first hand experience.

I do know however, that there is a reason for them, it isn't just to be unpleasant, it is necessary.

I would definately see a doctor, there is something going on that shouldn't be or more acurately something not going on that should be and that could lead to very serious health problems, please see your doctor.

I love you , Leo and I don't want to see you taking any risks with your health,

Sally

Well I was like 13 1/2, and I was for the most part regular (although my regular was always 45 days, almost to the day...) until like November...lol. Now I don't know if it even qualifies as (the title of this thread) because..well it's not working that way anymore. It's either continuous for weeks or nothing at all. And it's not like it's something I want to bring up to a dr. because 1.) it's not something I particularly enjoy talking about in general, and 2.) I don't want to be put on birth control because that would be an absolute nightmare, I think. But since I want my hormone levels tested anyway (testosterone levels, really), and I need to ask my parents for the money to do so, and this would give me a physical reason that I'm getting the test done (therefore I can avoid explaining to them everything that's going on..) I think I'm going to bring it up with my therapist. And like you said maybe it will help me out financially.

And did I mention, since you brought up bone structure and shoulder width....that I have like 34-34-35 measurements? lol. And arm strength that some people have assumed I got from working out...which I don't even do.

I hope my mind isn't too powerful, and this indicates something physical going on..

I would just ask a doctor...but maybe that's just me, dying to find an answer for everything. lol

man, I don't even know if I was ever regular since I can't remember it from one time to the next... from that I learned that if you go to the doctor, never say it's been more than 28 days if you're just guessing- cause then they do a pregnancy test.

And MyGen, doctor. Now.

Just flying in with my random 2 cents....

My partner was on BC for about 6 years... when She stopped it didn't come back for almost 2 years. After lots of Dr. visits (and $$) over that time period... the conclusion was the body adjusting and the built up chemical wearing off...

Based on how "glad" every doc I spoke to was back when that I was not having the situation you are I would say "yes". I could be wrong, but I think past a certain time limit is what they consider "hemorraging", not in the "you'll bleed to death" way, but in the "we need to worry and check your cells" way.

It's very light though, but continuously so. Still I wouldn't consider it normal....but it's something I'd prefer not to "fix". <_<

Congratulations on your new family member!

I felt the urge to date and felt just like a teenager again. I have recorded my journal titled Ashley's Life From Start to Present. I was very moody and agitated and happy. I think it was my body's way of being in shock. After about two months it got better. Remember that you aren't the only one transitioning because your wife is too. Consider yourself lucky because I lost mine because of it and so have many others. Just enjoy the ride.

I'm sorry for asking so many questions about your situation. I'm in your camp and believe you should be able to be whoever you feel you need to be. I guess it the Union Shop Stewart coming out in me. I want you to be treated fairly as well as respectably. You're human, you're a client of theirs. Especially if you're paying money to be there.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Views, terminology, and aspects of how events came to be....aren't those directly related to the news item?  If not, I'm rather confused.

Second warning, this has gotten far and apart from the NEWS item that it started out with and is becoming a flat out battleground over political leanings and terminology.

Welcome to Lefty Land.... a festive theme park full of sparkles and unicorns, a perfect place except for one evil orange dragon wearing a blond wig.    I'm always amazed at the "flexibility" of definitions.  One person's f@scist seems like a centrist to others.  One person's "moderate" looks to others like the 2nd coming of Fidel Castro.  A normal marriage a century or two ago is now a criminal offense, and relationships that used to be a criminal offense are now open, normal marriages.  Pedophiles now want to be called "minor attracted persons" and teenagers are now defined as children.  A Republican in NY or CA would be a Democrat just about anywhere else.  I'm certainly no advocate for relativism, these are just observations.    What I find interesting about this Australian candidate is the attitude that he shouldn't be allowed to run for office.  Why?  Just because his views are different, or even offensive?  Who makes that determination?  Can an election really be open and fair if it is barred to candidates who are not "politically correct?"  Here in the USA, we can openly have candidates who are f@scist or any other thing they want to be, no real restrictions aside from eligibility requirements related to age, location, citizenship, and criminal record.

@Birdie You certainly have more patience than I do.  I don't take it well if I get scolded.  Either I sulk or I get nippish.    We had a good Mother's Day here yesterday.  Quite an event, since 4 of my partners are mothers.  GF enjoys it a lot, because she's very (excessively?) proud of having produced her 5 kids.  Her eldest starts school this fall.  Amazing how time flies...

Reminds me of elementary school when a kid yanked my chair as I was taking a seat. I told him to "go suck an egg" and we both got sent to the principals office. I was like, "tf did I do to deserve that?"

Firstly, it's nice to hear that your other half is now open to you living as you are!   Secondly, things I have noticed, having started shots just before the New Year: Tears do come much more easily I am far more tender with my wife and I like to snuggle more I have noticed anxiety has an increased effect on me I am on a weekly injection, so when I get near my next shot I have noticed feeling a little emotionally "blah" After shots I am much more energetic and bubbly Otherwise, I wouldn't say I've been on any kind of roller coaster of emotion and I'm far from unstable. So take heart and congratulations!
