So I was wondering about how functional your genitals are after the surgery.

I also wish to know if feeling is retained or is it lost do to all the nerve tampering?

A little help please?

If everyting goes well you will retain sensation, I understand that it takes a little getting used to the new places that it is coming from and yes, if all goes well and this is true for most of the surgeries today they will function as one would want, I'm not sure the best way to put this but most manage to achieve well, what do you think that you might want to achieve in this particualar area? It starts with an O.

I'm sorry you got your first answer from the biggest prude in the forums,

Short answer - and I have been told this - I am waay pre-op here.

Depends on the skill of the surgeon, the procedure used, the physiology of the patient, and on pure ole luck.

My post op friend says she gets a big O - but she has yet to ... er ... be with a man. So her's is... er... self administered. Donno

And Sally is a self-defined prune? Wow - ohhhh 'prude'... I thought she was saying she is wrinkled, like a prune or somethin' - sorry.

Go to a surgeon's website and read up on post op care and you will understand!

When you are as fat as I am there are no wrinkles - they're all stretched out!

You can tease me, but I can only agree on older, I'm as smart as a whip (however smart they are), Big and Beautiful and everyone knows I'm the nicest person here - but you are older! (Oh my, that didn't seem nice at all!)

Lizzy

Love ya,

To Liz & Sally I had something that I was gonna add to this but thanks to the two of you I can't remember what it was :P:lol: I will see if I can remember it in the morning, & on a side note it isn't a bad thing 'cause I was laughing so hard that I almost fell out of my chair.

Hi,

I am bit afraid about if the neo vagina is strong enough. That sounds a bit strange. As we know from the procedure, the skin of the penis is used to build up the vagina. For me this skin looks very thin and not stable enough to manage the job. So if you get in close contact with a man maybe it can be damaged.

Everything else I read sound good as it is close to the real version of a vagina.

Greetings

Nelly

From all reports that I have recieved from Sexually active Tgirls that is not a problem at all.

From every thing that I have heard the new vagina functions almost identically to the real thing & if you get the rectal extension added onto it you will also be self lubricating just like the real thing but that costs almost as much as the initial surgery itself, I am still debating if I want to get that part done or not, but I have plenty of time to think about that.

Almost 60 years of medically assisted transitioning says otherwise. We're talking hundreds of thousands of women.

Three caveats:

1. A well endowed man can "damage" any woman (transsexual or natal).

2. Be sure you go to one of the major docs to get the best results.

3. Remember the vagina is not a free standing structure, it is totally surrounded by the body. It doesn't need to stand up on it's own, it only needs to accommodate a normal sized penis. And if my vagina can withstand thousands of dilations with a stiff surgical stent, a penis shouldn't be that much of a challenge.

Thanks Davie! And don’t worry, I didn’t take it that way. It’s just such a big topic I can only hope to tackle it one bit at a time.

This is not uncommon.  I started out going to the therapist in androgynous clothing: from the women's department, but plausibly masculine.  What made it easier was when I started going to a trans peer support group.  Most of the people there were presenting fully feminine, so I looked out of place in my androgynous clothing.  The peer pressure made it easier to dress in skirts.   I started out changing in a gender-neutral bathroom near the meeting room.  But I soon started wearing skirts in the car to and from the meetings.   Yes, it was nerve-wracking at first, but I soon realized that no one was looking and no one cared.    You can do this.

In my last session my therapist is starting to suggest that I need to start exploring my gender identity in a more tangible way through wearing feminine clothing at least during sessions.  I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around her seeing me actually en femme.   I love and trust her, but the thought of being visibly feminine is scaring (and thrilling) me.  Is this a common thing in gender therapy?  How do I get past the fear?  More importantly, what should I wear?

I felt the urge to date and felt just like a teenager again. I have recorded my journal titled Ashley's Life From Start to Present. I was very moody and agitated and happy. I think it was my body's way of being in shock. After about two months it got better. Remember that you aren't the only one transitioning because your wife is too. Consider yourself lucky because I lost mine because of it and so have many others. Just enjoy the ride.

I'm sorry for asking so many questions about your situation. I'm in your camp and believe you should be able to be whoever you feel you need to be. I guess it the Union Shop Stewart coming out in me. I want you to be treated fairly as well as respectably. You're human, you're a client of theirs. Especially if you're paying money to be there.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
