Passing?

Passing can be achieved by many different ways.

1. Voice (biggest give away)

2. Clothes

- Don't wear thin strap tops as they make shoulder broad

- Wear long jackets with pull tie to give illusion of curves / hips

3. Makeup

- Contour using bronzer

- Laser and Electrolysis

4. Movement

- Work on walking with one foot in-front of the other a little more
5. Don't go overly girly it will give you away too observe what other girls are wearing currently in your age group

Hope this helps

-Lilly ;)

To me you show an androgyne face - you could be either so the comments given by Lilly are useful to think about - if you spoke in a female voice you would be taken as female and if male, just a young looking male. Check your mannerisms!

I think you look fine. If you want to get out there and take some steps in the world. Just blend in and enjoy.

i agree with what lilypad said. that on top of mannerisms and make up, you've got it going on. regardless of all of this at first glance you look great! like a young pretty female! :) like many in our community our voice is what gives us away.

keep it up :)

Passing physically is only about 5% of the battle. The rest is mental and social and all the little things one learns on the way.

I agree with jnemo. shaving your chest would be a good idea .

World is ending, somebody agrees with me! Thank you, Sakura

Emma, my other thought would be, if you're keeping your chest unshaved for various reason (permanent hair removal, avoidance of ingrown hairs, etc), just wear a less revealing top. Otherwise, seriously lovely!

As a straight male, you're cute :) Your arms are pretty muscular, which is more intimidating in general than "manly" per se. I don't really know what can be done for that, other than maybe a less revealing top. But your face is definitely really pretty.

I used to worry about passing. and, Thought, I am not taking a test, It makes it sound like were posing as someone were not, So, Not anymore. I could care less! I am me. Nikki, I do not need to pass as being myself. if people do not like me, Their prob! I am who i am. I am not a full natal female, So why try and "pas" as one. I am a very happy trans girl. period..

My thoughts, in '+' and '-' format. I try to be a fair to everyone, and I'm a glass half-full/half-empty kind of trans girl.

+ beautiful, pouty lips

+ baby soft skin in the face (I hope you didn't photoshop these or otherwise 'edit' the photos)

+ nice fingers

- too muscular in the arms and shoulders, particularly in the second photo

- i see chest hair in the last photo. too a drunk that would pass. but then again, my wife worked with a GG who could literally grow a beard

- the chin, please don't take this the wrong way, but just about every trans girl has a feature that can't be resolved without surgery. If you take your finger and cover up part of your chin it dramatically changes your appearance toward female. Surgery seems to be something that most will avoid, but I think that chin augmentation and shaving is one of the lower risk / higher reward surgeries out there.

Having said that, there are anomalies across the entire gender spectrum. Heck, my oldest adoptive sister is very pretty, yet very athlethic and 'manly' looking in the face, particularly in the jawline area.

Bone issue aside, you're still prettier than many trans girls would love to be. I've lost a bunch of hair on my head, that not even a scalp reduction would overcome, so focus on being the woman you are, and focus on saving the money to alter (or remove) things that will help to complete your journey.

The last post was meant for the OP correct? Because like i said, I do not need NO one to assess me, I know i do not fully pass as a natal female because i am NOT a natal female. But, I am very beautiful and attractive young trans girl. I am fully happy with myself no matter what ANYONE thinks about me. I will NEVER ask anyone to assess me and my looks.I AM happy and fully comfortable with who i am. Before anyone possibly throws insults my way towards Looks, Please, do NOT waste ur finger strength typing them. It does NOT phase me.. if the last post was for the OP then i am sorry. :-)

Wow I am actually a bit shocked at some of the responses here. While I realize what I am about to type will most likely ruffle a few feathers am gonna say it anyways.. I have seen alot of pictures of people posted on this site and seen people give all kinds of compliments to ones that did not look 1/4 as good as this person does. But yet this time is more critical? Seriously people?..Maybe I am just going blind but I would do damn near anything to have such great lips skin and nose as this person does and her eyes in last picture make one melt.. Yes I do agree with the chest hair thing that go's without saying. But I did not see no were near enough muscle or brood shoulders to make me think dude at all. The only flaw if you can even call that is her jaw is a tad squared but I have seen and known more then a few GG's with jaws just like this. If this person is pre HRt can you even imagine the out come for her... To have such a good canvas to start with would be outstanding.. I would trade body and faces with her in a new york second. My 2 cents...

P.S

Nikkichick33 you have come along way for the better in both attitude and looks.. you go girl..

I forgot to mention, while I mean this with all due respect, The only part i do not second is the last sentence. That is because i love my own body and face and everything, would not trade it for anything. <3

You look great girl!

To the OP: Looking good! Jealous of your facial features there. The chin's the obvious weakpoint but you just need to find a hairstyle to work with it I think. It's came into popularity for women to have masculine features recently (sorry I can't date when, I don't follow fashion -that- closely so I can only parrot to a degree) so just find a style that works with it and have fun :D

HI Emma,

You are courageous to show your pictures and ask for feedback!

We just never know what people will write. : )

You are pretty in these pictures!

I love your dress. Very nice on you.

Your hairstyle is also very feminine, both when worn down and pulled back.

I do not see drawbacks mentioned by some others here.

I do not see overly broad shoulders in these pictures. (Now, I have broad shoulders.)

I do not see what I would call "muscular" arms.

I see shapely arms, which I feel are more attractive for women than arms which are extremely thin and without much contour.

The dress is very revealing of your arms/shoulders, and I think you look great!

Pretty!

Congrats, Emma!

Thanks for sharing with us!

Brad

Thanks to everyone for your input. I actually had forgotten I'd posted this, until a day where I felt absolutely hopeless and downright hideous, and I saw every one of your posts. I was crying, because of all the wonderful support I got from everyone here. It's like we're a family, here on the Playground. The family I always wanted to live in. Thank you, everyone. :)

Since the gap of time where I posted this topic and where I'm posting now, I have shaved my chest. I'm not sure if I'll ever start HRT, but if I do, it's great to know I have not just my significant other, but the amazing family I'm a part of right here to come to.

I'd love to have a dinner party with Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, Voltaire, and Ayn Rand.  Would definitely be an interesting time.

In the forward I learn that transgenderism is bad, and somewhere else that transgender ideology is bad.  I have not yet read a definition of either in the document.  I assume they are the same.  I know Focus on a Family has a definition of transgenderism on their website, or did, but I am not sure this is the same as that.  I might agree that transgenderism is bad if they use a definition I condemn (e.g. transgenderism means you always pour ketchup in your shoes before you put them on - I could not agree to that).  Is someone who believes in transgenderism, whatever it is, a transgenderist? I never see that term.  There may be other definitions out there, but I don't think there is an Official Definition that we all agree to.

Crazy fact, was gonna go to the school where this went down at before I moved, have a lot of friends there. I know at least one of my friends met the guy on one occasion, not knowing who it was.
    • Abigail Genevieve
They are thinking of Loudon.  The problem there was the girls were not protected from a known predator, who was moved from one school to another instead being effectively disciplined.  Outlaw school administrators? <sarc>

How ironic.  I agree with the governor "“You cannot change your gender; you cannot pick your gender…there is a confused group of people that somehow think you can,”    - we are what we are, we are fighting the fact we CANNOT change our gender, which we did not pick.  Many if not all of us would not have picked a trans condition and have sought to evade, deny or move out or resolve it anyway we can.  Those who are confused on this issue are not trans folk.  They want us to change our gender but they deny we can.  Confusion.

@FinnyFinsterHH no one can satisfy your questions about what will the future hold. But I can advise you to slow your mind down as much as you're able. Take it slow and one moment at a time. This advice goes beyond the practical reality that that's truly all you can do - further, try to enjoy each moment. It's clear you have a lot of aspirations regarding transition. But it's best to try to accept the bounds of your life circumstances at present because if you develop worries or even resentments about them, that will only make you bitter and more anxious. Instead, try to focus on anything you find affirming. Practice positive self-talk and give yourself affirmations too. Try to let go of expectations of your family members - they can only deal with change to the capacity they're able due to their own life conditions. Allow them grace as you wish they would allow you. Practice patience.   Try this exercise - read through your post and make one list of the positive developments and another of things you cannot control (including the future). If you have a sense of spirituality, offer the second list as a sacrifice to however you understand a higher power - leave it in their hands. If you're not spiritual, then offer it up to hope. Then throw that list away. Keep the list of positives and leave some room on it because guaranteed you'll have more and more to add. Look forward to that, but don't let your mind think it can rush things. Try to enjoy the ride.

I still have not read much of this.  Very little of this document pertains to trans folk.  Some of the statements are more than problematic concerning trans folk.   It certainly was not written just to get us.   " those with gender dysphoria should be expelled from military service."  and "Reverse policies that allow transgender individuals to serve in the military. Gender dysphoria is incompatible with the demands of military service,"  https://static.project2025.org/2025_MandateForLeadership_CHAPTER-04.pdf are two lines out of hundreds if not thousands regarding the Department of Defense, targeting trans folk in an almost off-hand manner.    So if a fighter pilot, say, or a ship's captain, highly experienced and trained at enormous expense, is determined to be transgender (method unknown) the US loses someone badly needed due to the personnel shortage who is ready, willing and able to perform their duties.  Many trans folk have served well and transitioned later.  I don't think this point is well thought out.    A number of policy recommendations I would disagree with.  I am not sure there is a method to discuss those with the authors; I am attempting to find out.  I have good conservative creds.    They are fully intending to implement this, regardless of who the president is, as long as that president is conservative. It is not Trump centered.  I don't think he had anything to do with it.

I wear a Delimira Mastectomy sleep bra with Vollence sleep rated breast forms. The form fit inside pockets so they don't touch your skin. I bought the bras on Amazon and found the forms on eBay. They were much less expensive than buying through the other sources.

I don't wear a bra to bed.  The girls aren't big enough to need it, but still enough to appreciate.  Just a flannel nightgown suits me fine.
