Revitalizing wigs

I wear a wig at all times when i'm awake. I shave my head as it just makes it easier. The hair i've got isn't worth cultivating. Over the last two years ( as of May) i've lived with 2 wigs for the most part. They are synthetic and just feel great to me. Not too hot in the summer and i always get compliments on the style and color. I just had to get a new one. When i opened the box i was amazed at how beat the older wig was. Does anyone know of a product that restores wigs at all. I have ordered still another for a reserve. They are not super expensive but i hate loosing old friends and am a generally cheap person. For now i guess i'll use the new one for times when i leave the farm but it would be nice if it looked better.

Thanks and hugs,

Charlie

Not sure how much it would help, but I did a quick google search for wig revitalization. One of the first results I got was for this TressAlure Wig Revitalizing Spray Conditioner from Revlon. Maybe looking into it a little more would give you more/better options (price I see is $4.99 however!).

Quick question to you about wigs though Charlie, seeing as I was intrigued by this post having the word "Wig" in the topic, where would you recommend someone new to wigs to look? I'm eager to look at some since my hair is thinning out quite quickly from genetics.

Hope I've helped a little, and thanks if you can help me out a little!

The one I use for my wig collection is one I got in the store of these folks http://www.wilshirewigs.com. The actual brand they sold me is Brandywine Revitalizing Conditioner and it does a reasonable job on my good wigs, including the ones I have modeled in my gallery.

Mirilyn, give the site above a look see. My favorite brands are Jon Renau, Revlon, and Louis Ferre.

Also places I have bought from are Wigs.com, and Ace Wigs.

Last Saturday I was with a new girl buying her first wig, and going to just a commercial brick and mortar store is pretty easy, they want to sell the wigs and cash is the what they are looking at. The stores a known for keeping their mouths shut since a large number of customers have medical needs for the wigs. (You do too if you look at it that way!) The girl I went with bought one for <$100US and while not what I would buy, will do her for a decent length of time because she is not full time as Charlie is. Also go to the ones The Breast Form Store had, they are good quality but they do not have the selection the other sites have.

Thank you for the information! I'll definitely look more (I've spent a good 20+ minutes already since seeing your post).

Thanks for the ideas. I get my wigs recently from a supply store called Beauty Trends. Their wigs are reasonable. I have gotten some that didn't work for me but have had luck as well. My favorite now seems remarkably cheap at $59. I can't ask for better at less. If i were to try to better i'm not sure at this point that there is a bricks and mortar store near us that would have as large a selection. I do miss the chance to try things on but they have a decent return policy.

Hugs,

Charlie

no. I don't really go for all that stuff   the only thing I do believe is to not mess with god's will too much- I mean, sure, if you're unhappy with your body, then I think you should change it to something that makes you happier   if, however, you.. I don't know, can't find a job for instance- I don't think you should push it. wait until it comes to you, because it will

Good morning   @Ashley0616. So glad it wasn’t worse.  I did something similar when I was maybe 8. I was playing outside barefoot and stepped on a piece of broken glass. My mother zoomed into action when I told her.     @awkward-yet-sweet welcome back to the working world. Mental work is just as tiring as physical but both feel good.  It’s a different kind of tired when you wake up.   @Birdie what a beautiful young woman you were.   i made a pot since it’s Sunday. Last time for a while I’ll be grinding beans.  Somehow I messed up and bought already ground the last time.  I know I was in a bit of a rush at the time.  That just doesn’t pay.  Slow down and take the time to read the package.     at least we can use this up making single cups too.  We have a replacement for the pod holder that allows you to use ground coffee or tea leaves. I suppose herbs could be used if that’s your thing but it’s never been this girl’s.  (Like I said too conservative and goody two shoes)   Well here I sit in my sleep sweatshirt from Buc-ee’s while the dog is signaling she would like to go out.   i suppose I should finish up and get ready for the day.  And a nice one it will be. Mostly sunny high of 76.  I should go sit by the pool this afternoon.   Willow

Tension is not a well-understood psychological state. It can be both positive and negative, much like stress itself. A 2015 research paper on the theoretical framework of tension notes it's an anticipatory emotional state which tends to be associated with: conflict.

I'd love to have a dinner party with Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, Voltaire, and Ayn Rand.  Would definitely be an interesting time.

In the forward I learn that transgenderism is bad, and somewhere else that transgender ideology is bad.  I have not yet read a definition of either in the document.  I assume they are the same.  I know Focus on a Family has a definition of transgenderism on their website, or did, but I am not sure this is the same as that.  I might agree that transgenderism is bad if they use a definition I condemn (e.g. transgenderism means you always pour ketchup in your shoes before you put them on - I could not agree to that).  Is someone who believes in transgenderism, whatever it is, a transgenderist? I never see that term.  There may be other definitions out there, but I don't think there is an Official Definition that we all agree to.
