I will keep your sister in my prayers, @Davie. The insurance thing, that will work out in time. Bureaucracy is annoying, but adds fuel to the fire when you're already upset about another matter. Yes, "wait and pray". Bless you both.
Not so good today. My sister is in the ER with a stroke. Also, my insurance is screwed up somehow, so I'm being Charged $300 for a simple checkup. I've had to cancel it until it's worked out. But mainly I wait to hear about my dear and supportive sister in the ER. And wait and pray. And pray.
Left-handed. Although I deal cards with my right hand. And I am fully comfortable using a mouse with my right hand. If I used my left hand for dealing or using a mouse, it would feel awkward.
Nothing funny happened in my childhood, but there was one funny moment in my mid 20's.
I was sleeping with my wife in our queen size water bed and I was dreaming of a large spider crawling on my neck. So I startled and threw my fist up to smash it and I hit myself full force in the balls! My wife kept on saying "What is it? What's wrong? Are you having a heart attack?" Of course it took a few minutes before I could talk. It turned out that there were some tassels on the blanket on the bed that were tickling my neck.
Right handed. It's my slide arm on the trombone. The other arm is just kind of locked there. Interesting enough though is that the left hand/arm is important in controlling how much pressure is applied from the horn to my lips. Also interesting is that both of my middle fingers are bent away from my thumbs because of how I hold my trombone. It's been a struggle to get my left hand/arm working well with the drums, but I've gotten pretty good at it.
