I was on this site a couple years ago, I think. I couldn't find my intro thread, and I can't even remember what my username was.

I'm Celina, or Celi, pronounced "Sellie". I like either. I'm 17yo transgirl in Alabama, so that's been fun. Really, though. I've had the luck to know so many LGBT (and straight-but-not-narrow) people here. My parents are my only problem; I'm not on hormones or anything, and basically I've been unable to begin transition. I will, though, when I go to college this year, at Jacksonville State (that isn't the one in Florida). But like I said, I was here probably a couple years ago. I've gotten fairly comfortable with my identity.

I like classic rock and videogames and Doctor Who. I'm a geek. Hi. <3

Welcome back, I did not know you then, but I am very happy that you returned.

I hope that it was that because you missed all your friends and love here.

I am not familiar with Jackson State, but they may even have an LGBT Center on Campus.

Also, many colleges are now including transition related and GRS in the student health insurance policy.

You may want to look into this.

Welcome back, Celi. Glad to hear that things are going fairly well for you, and congrats on your soon-to-college career. I wish you all kinds of luck, not to mention all the classes that you need.

Sorry, Krissy. High school sucks for everybody. Do you at least have people who accept you? I think that even if the whole world was out to get you, you could survive with a few good friends. (Assuming "out to get you" here means "intolerant sexist jerks". Not if they're trying to kill you. That would be a problem.)

Charlize, thanks This forum is gonna need us when the most intolerant jerks of all come for us. I'll keep my screwdriver handy.

Carla, I don't really remember. I can say that there was a lady who helped me a lot, but I dunno if I really had friends. Wasn't here that long. JSU does have an LGBT group which is supported by the school's administration, and when I emailed the school they told me that in the past they've made special arrangements for housing trans students. I haven't given that much thought to how I'm gonna get HRT, but I need to, since I want to start as soon as I can.
