Kia Ora Sara W,

Quote from website...

“The most common vaginoplasty technique performed on women in our community uses tissue from the existing genitalia to create the vagina (the penile inversion technique), although in some cases the lack of tissue may require additional skin grafts taken from the buttocks or near the hipbones. Some surgeons use a two-stage procedure which includes a labiaplasty at a later time. A more complicated procedure using a segment of colon (colonvaginoplasty) may be performed if there is very little existing tissue to use, although the complexity of the procedure and higher complication rates make it a less preferable option in most cases!”

 Also check this link out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaginoplasty it give more detail...

I hope this info is of some help…

I had the colonvaginoplasty surgery …

Many surgeons in Thailand use their own technique which isn't penile inversion, with great success as well. There is not only one technique, even if it may be the most popular with the western surgeons. Note that Thailand surgeons have mostly international clients (including from US and Canada).

Most MTFs seem to be obsessed with depth and seem to want a great deal more than the average Natal female.

Actually we tend to be more narrow because of the pelvic bone structure, but if you are conserned about your partner I understand that most men find that pleasurable - I have no way of knowing that yet, but it is what I have heard.

On the website for Thailand surgeons thaey are always going for over 6 inches when natal females average a little over 5 - I can be happy with average or even slightly less - I have never been a perfect speciman of male so it is a little much to expect perfect in female, I just want to be average, OK maybe a little better but I don't have to be perfect.

Find a man with no previous experience and you will always be the best!

Remember that the skin on the you know what (that is so cute - the phrase not the you know what) is quite elastic in nature - once the erectile material has been seperated from it they have a great deal more to work with than you think.

Love ya,

Sally

Note that a neo-vagina is a lot less stretchable than a factory-given one. Cissexual women can give birth with theirs, I doubt a surgically created one could survive such traumatism. So while a cissexual woman with a 5 inch depht can accomodate above-average men (average is 5.5 inch length), a transsexual woman with a 5 inch depht might not be able to.

Kia Ora Sara W,

 Sorry I misread your post…I guess this really should be in the trans surgery section…

When performing the penile inversion technique, the larger the penis the more skin the surgeon has to work with, however being on HRT long term can shrink the scrotum sack…and skin graphs may also be required

As Sally mentioned pelvic girdle size will also impact on what size dilator ‘thickness’ one can use, the length of the dilators range from 7 to 8 inches in length regardless of thickness-some are longer but the only benefit in have longer ones is you have more to hold on to when dilating…

I have a set of six dilators my #5 which is 35cm diameter, is the one that I’m comfortable using, my largest dilator #6 is just too big ‘38cm’ - my pelvic girdle is not big enough to accommodate it…

When performing the PI Technique, the depth would depend on the skill of the surgeon…4 1/2 to 5 1/2 inches seems to be the norm for PIT…

A trans woman I know who had surgery in Thailand performed by Dr Kunaporn, first had the PI but then about a year later went back for a colonvaginoplasty which gave her more depth…

Colonvaginoplasty will give you more depth plus it's self lubricating, but it's a more intrusive surgical procedure and more prone to complications...

Hi,

as I understand, the colonvaginoplasty does not use the skin of the thing we all know it us a part of the bowl. In the case of sexual action, does your partner knows were the parts are from, do you think he would still give you some cunillingus?

For me this way of getting a vagina sounds most complicate and I would prever to have the skin inverted of the thing we all know.

I got the idea to use the seminal vesicle to lubricate. The seminal vesicle is placed close to the prostate and I am wondering if it is possible to reroute it to the end of the neo vagina. If this would be possible you only get lub if you are sexually arroused.

@Jendar: I think you miss a "," to the diameter. 38cm sound realy big but 3,8cm sound more normal ;) As we know cissexual women can train and stretch their vaginas to a very big size, I am asking if we also can do it with a neo vagina.

@Sarah W.:

Cissexual women are natural women born with female body and female soul.

Greetings

Nelly

Actually, (and it could just be me being perved and jaded about the world...) I don't think it would matter. Considering all of the oral/oralesque contacts being made in sexual scenarios (if you can believe the hype) with "toosh" parts out there I doubt that would be his concern as much as possibly thinking he's having oral contact with the "thing you all know what it was". Of course I'm thinking that as a straight guy with all the "straight guy thoughts".

Short answer, he'd arguably care less about "kissing" your "bum" than....y'know.

It means non-transsexual. It's less dehumanizing to ourselves than genetic female, or natal female. I was born female, and my genes are female, I was just not raised as female, and have male-looking genitals, that's all. Those terms make us seem like wannabe-females.

Besides penile inversion and colonoplasty, there are other techniques. I don't want either of those techniques.

Exactly! Our factory re-fit :P vaginas are quite limited in stretchability. That's why you really want to have 5" or more post-op. Natal vaginas have an unbelieveable ability to stretch (childbirth anyone?). They average about 3.5 inches or so, but can stretch to twice that easily to accomadate...... their partner.

Kia Ora Nelly,

 Thanks for pointing that out I was thinking in 'millimetre' as in 35mm, but put centimetre 'cm' instead... The simple answer is 'No' a neo vagina will not stretch anywhere near as much as that of a genetic female's...

With the colonvaginoplasty procedure that I had, the skin from the penis and scrotum was used for mould the labia flaps and create the entrance way of the neo vagina, a part of the colon was pulled down to create the neo vaginal passage...For me personally, prior to having surgery, I had no interest whatsoever how or what was being used to create my neo vagina, a neo vagina is a neo vagina, no matter how it's made...Of course one does need to have confidence in the surgeon[in my case surgeons] ability to carry out such a complicated procedure...

I realise many trans women will go to great lengths to research the ins and outs of differents surgeon's techniques, however ones neo vagina will be unique to you, no one else will have a neo vagina exactly the same as yours even when using the same surgeon...One has to also take into account, our body are not the same so the surgeon will do the best he/she can with what materials/skin available...

Remember...Surgeons are only 'human' [be it somewhat 'gifted']..but as we all know humans [including surgeons] are not infallible...

a quick question this is for those that have odd thoughts like myself......for the colon method your taking skin from insidde the body to create a tunnel to the outside is what im getting a picture in my mind, and reshaping the penis to fit inside is the otherway is the traditional way.......honestly the colon way seems to be more normal towards natals than anything els......i dont have any experience of the mater....but im goin to make a question about which method gives which volume of pleasure post-op psycological and physical

The quick answer is that both methods use the nerves from the penis to achieve sensation so that remains the same.

While this might sound odd, the penile inversion and all of its variations is the least invasive surgery and therefore the one with the fewer complications.

One of the complications from the Sigmoid colon vaginoplasty can lead to a colostomy.

The risks need to be known before you have any surgery.

Metta Jendar can comment directly on this. But from I've heard sometimes the natural lubrication can be too much, forcing you to wear pads constantly. Not only that, the lubrication tends to be quite smelly for the first year  (remember we're talking a section of COLON). Not to mention it is much more invasive than penile inversion because it involves opening another body cavity.

Welcome to Trans Pulse, Bobbi.  It's nice to meet you.  I remember well all the emotions you mentioned upon starting on this journey, about 15 years ago now.  It's an exciting, albeit scary time, and there will be many questions and decisions along the way.  Any way we can help, all you need to do is ask.  We'll be here for you.   HUGS   Carolyn Marie

Everyone is their own person and has their own way of operating in the world. Being “enough” isn’t for anyone to judge, outside of maybe our closest loved ones, and definitely not those that are trying to measure themselves high by cutting others down. They know I wouldn’t succeed for very long—or at all—keeping my life bifurcated as you, but I am happy you are content with where you’re at with yourself.

My kids are grown now.  I realize I don't know the half of what they did.  But my parents didn't know the half of what I did either.  It's just how it works.   You kinda know, but please spare me the details.

@MaeBe, Good luck and best wishes on the new start in the Great Northwest. I don’t know a parent that didn’t call out their kids for being drunk or high as rebellious teenagers. I just told my teens that they can’t kid a kidder, and I was a teenager early 1970s we could drink legally at 18 so I have tons of experience spotting drunk kids.    As for the poetry, I liked it.  We never have enough support bras or tee shirts in the rotation.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Greetings everyone,   This is my introduction, I'm old and like donuts!  Let's see, what else...   I started my transition VERY recently, 5/17, after feeling like I've been uncomfortable doing it for like 20 years.  I lived in states where LGBT rights are strained, and have recently moved to a more friendly state.  I'm short, like gardening and crafts and rain.  Still a huge mixture of nervous, scared, excited and elated to finally be in a position where I can start.  I'm kind of easily excited, have the attention span of a humming bird does that to one, and usually medicate that with video games.  Not much else about me for now.  Started exercising so I can get my weight down as part of the transformation.  Still, I joined as I have questions and wanted to be with like minded folks.   Also, love trading recipes.
