I set a goal that for myself that I am going to be FINALLY going full-time here in the next 60 days. I am already working with my HR department (which they have been INCREDIBLY supportive of me through all of this) and just wanted to share some pics of me. These were taken recently before going out for long a walk with my puppies , so not much makeup or anything. I am self-confident though, and t I feel that I have broad shoulders. A friend that I am just being way too critical about myself, am I?

Frankly, I think you are being overly critical of yourself. You look great!

I also want to steal your pants ;)

Yeah, you're gonna do just fine. I should upload a picture of me in a similar outfit and see if you don't freak at how broad my shoulders are. You'd feel WAAAY better about yourself after that...haha.

It's so nice that I can crop my avatar to exclude the football shoulders! You have nothing to be concerned about, walk them puppies in peace!

Hi,

Ive got a similar frame to you and have the same concern. After spending time checking out other womens shoulders I see that there are loads of women with much larger frames and shoulders. As I was always reasonably fit and now also swim I have muscle definition which is ok as long as I dont tense anything up. Discussed this with my SO and it is true that the leaner frame feminises but the muscle does masculinise. Im hoping to be on hormones soon so looking to them to soften things in the long run while trying to stay slim. I love strappy tops and like you worry about having the shoulders on show. I don't think its as bad as we think it is, but I do feel out my comfort zone without long sleeves for now. Only way to get it into the comfort zone is to do it :)

In summary, you dress female, you look female, you are female.

So far, I get far more heads turning when in the androgynous dress more when not presenting full female. People seem to have far more trouble with boundaries.

Hugs

Rachel

Thanks all for your input/compliments. Trying not to be so critical about myself is what seems to be a never ending process. I always have seen the negative and almost never the positive, so a lot of the changes that have been happening from HRT I really have not seen even though most of my friends/family see the changes and tell me that they are pretty drastic. I am finally though letting myself see the changes and am loving in what I am seeing. I know I have a long way to go to stop being so critical about myself but hearing such compliments really does amazing things to my self-confidence :-)

One little trick is to wear v necks which tend to draw the eye in to the triangle while scope necks make us seem broader. The top you are wearing emphasizes the width of your upper body. Even so so look great and your smile is the cherry on the sunday.

Hugs,

Charlize

Nobody has mentioned this, but get your boobs and head up and shoulders back a bit as you walk, and keep your elbows in toward your waist as you walk, or even sit. A guy drags his knuckles in front of him, a woman has her finger nails along her outer thighs.

You don't have noticeably broad shoulders. They're proportionately narrower than my younger sisters' build (they are twins). Overall you have female proportions and look good.

It can be easy to be over-critical of ourselves. I like to resist it with positive affirmations. Even when they seem cheesy they make me smile.

Thanks for this info, I will defiantly have to start trying this. How you walk I know defiantly is needed for not only passing, but overall feminine body language. :-)
