Hello everyone. I'm male (as defined by societal norms,) aged 23 and from the UK.

Ever since I can remember, I've expressed and nurtured my feminine side, and lately things have started to get a little confusing. According to the online COGIATI test, I am an Androgyne, which from what I've looked into, seems to fit me down to a tee.

I'm hoping that by posting to these forums and using the rest of the excellent features here in Laura's Playground that I can find some continuity and peace for myself, and to also be a friend to those who need it.

Thanks for taking the time to read my intro. :)

Welcome to Laura's Playground, HeartShine. You'll find lots of good friends here.

Also, I notice you're having a problem with coding your posts..so heres a short guide I made.

[A4] Coloring and Stylizing Text

At the top of the box you type your messege in there will be many ways to edit your text. I will bring you through the basics of how to make sure these edits to your text work.

This is the toolbox of different edits for your text:

text.jpg

I will teach you how to use fonts and color your text. You will have to look through and figure out the rest yourself as there are many kinds of edits and most of them work the same as fonts and colors do.

When you want to color a text of yours, HIGHLIGHT the text that you want to be colored. Then goto the A in the toolbox of edits and choose your color. Your text should be wrapped in color code tags.

Color code tags look like this:

Your text should look like this on your screen:

When you want to color a text of yours, HIGHLIGHT the text that you want to be colored. Then goto the A in the toolbox of edits and choose your color. Your text should be wrapped in color code tags.

Using fonts is the same as coloring but you go to the "Fonts" in your toolbox edits. So in the end your text should be wrapped in font tags.

Font tags look like this:

For any type of editing you must highlight the text which you want to edit. Like the examples above you will know you've done it right if your text is wrapped in tags.

If you're confused or need help with anything then feel free to give me a PM once you have 5 posts and I will help you learn how to use it.

Hi Zabrak and Donna Jean. Thank you both for such a warm and heartfelt welcome.

Thanks for the coding tips Zabrak. HTML has never really been one of my strong points :D I hope I managed to get it right this time around.

Thanks for the compliment regarding my screen name Donna Jean. I already feel part of the family, and I've only been here a few days. The slippers and housecoat are officially on lol!

Do you mind if I pass on the cocoa and ask you for hot tea instead? I have a little trouble with dairy :D

Well hello,

Welcome, come on over to my corner where I keep my 37 varieties of teas, some of the Americans don't like to work very hard so there are some in teabags, but most are loose! :D

I have a wide variety of Black teas, Orange Pekoe, Green Teas, White Tea, Red Tea and Oolong, some flavored with dried fruit - try the banana tea.

Of course I have milk for the tea and you already have the biscuits.

Enjoy the firums, feel safe and happy will just happen one day!

Love ya,

Sally

Hello Sally.

I'm almost overwhelmed by how friendly everyone seems to be here. It's so great to finally find somewhere that imparts upon me a sense of belonging. Maybe there still are some 'good guys' left in this cruel and tortured world.

As for the tea, it sounds like you've got more in your house than Taylors of Harrogate hold in their blending houses!

I'd like a cup of Assam with a little lactose-free milk please. Everyone can help themselves to the Madelines. I made them fresh this morning :D

Peace and love,

HeartShine

LOL I guess teas aren't such a big deal over in the USA. You can stick with Folgers, I don't mind at all :D

Frank and Mia, thank you so much for making me feel welcome. I just know that I've found the right place here in the Playground. It's very humbling to be accepted here after a long time searching for people who understand.

Big hugs,

Hey, Heart Shine, welcome. Make yourself at home, have some tea and biscuits. I'm a black coffee type myself. If you need anything, just holler.

I completely understand the feeling. It’s much like watch a kettle come to boil. Looking back the changes were much like that boiling kettle…the less anticipation, the faster the results seem to have come or became noticeable to me. I do have to say that there was sort of an immediate placebo effect in just the fact that I knew I was finally making it real and that the process had begun. I was immediately at peace with my decision which up until that point I kept second guessing all the negative possibilities it might create. Almost 6 years in, I wouldn’t change my path in any way.   And a big congratulations for being able to make that leap toward authenticity. That is a huge milestone!   Best of luck on your journey, Susan R🌷

I'm not sure that's quite true.  If it was done by private entities?  Like most landfills here are privately owned, as are power plants.  I can't see a reason they couldn't be combined.    Right now, garbage companies in my area harvest the methane produced by the landfill to run their trucks.  The put all sorts of pipes in among the layers of the landfill to collect it.  Compressed natural gas (CNG) can be used with only minor modifications to existing engines, and many truck stops are adding CNG pumps as some fleets transition to it.    A fuel's usefulness is often measured in BTU's per gallon.  CNG has approximately the same BTUs as diesel or gasoline (138,000 or so.)  Pure ethanol and E85 have much less - like 76,000 BTUs.

Well, after a week on HRT, as many would probably have predicted, I've noticed exactly zero mental or physical changes. Patience appears to be the key here as hard as that will be after finally getting my transition moving. Guess I just need to sit back and enjoy the ride. Hope that my first blood tests after two months will show hormone levels moved acceptively.

A therapist appt is a great place to dress femme, If you want to!   It also sounds like a great safe venue to speak softer and more feminine, if that’s where you want to go.     Not sure the rules now.  But if you’re seeking HRT you might have to show them something to convince the money system that your case is medically necessary.  Obvious feminine clothes and mannerisms displayed by a human assigned male at birth (perhaps this is you?)  could be check marks towards them pushing your case through.     Please be whatever brings you love for who you are.   I have pursued this all the way through obstacles, mistakes, humiliation, and pain. And I  am so so so grateful  Hugs 😊 🌈🌈

Puzzled.  My United Healthcare Medical Advantage DOES cover gender affirming surgeries.  The HARD part is finding a surgeon that's in-network.  If the surgeon is out of network, the coverage is 40%/60% (they pay 60%).    Sadly, the surgeon I'd like to have, Dr Russell Sassani, in south Florida, is out-of-network and requires full payment prior to surgery.  I'm certain that there have been insurance issues for him and others, in the past.  Most GOOD surgeons for trans surgeries don't submit insurance, though they WILL help you with the codes, etc.  Actually, he does accept some regular insurance and original Medicare.     Anyway, I hope you were able to get your surgery or at least closer to being able to do so.

Welcome Madelyn, glad you are here and best wishes on your journey!!   I started HRT about two months ago... Had my initial appointment in December... Other than a bra underneath my clothes, I likely didn't look feminine at all ... I was nervous as heck but the doc put me at ease...   Just be yourself... do what feels comfortable for you ... The pace is up to you... Remember, you are one of a kind and have inestimable worth...    EasyE

I have been creating a space to be expressive. It's def not completed yet, I have loads of ideas still. Thinking about re-painting, maybe a light pastel purple or light pink, with a satin gloss. Honestly I'm hung on which would look best. Leave a comment if you think it would look better pink or purple. This area is a combination Man-Cave / She Shack. This is my sacred space, I think it's coming out well so far. I love this room, it inspires my creativity. Tho, I think there's not much man left in the cave lol.

Then there is how FDR is revered, and the ridiculous reluctance of the left to ever say anything negative about Biden.  It destroys their credibility.  Obsessed with Trump, they ignore how much worse Biden is.

The title of this thread is highly offensive.

Oh…. Now I get what the transgender agenda is.  I missed it.   I just didn't realize he was running again.   Silly me.   I'm going to quit now.  I've already been an ass
