Did or is anyone else having problems finding bra's that fit right early in transistion. I have been on HRT for a year and even though i measure as a C cup i can never find anything that fits and B cups are to small. I am still using sports bras and quite frankly would like to be able to find something nicer.

Hey Tori,

I just happened upon a site called "Her Room" which has just about every band and cup size known to woman (see what I did there?...lol). I just ordered a 42AA that should be here this week. Once it comes in, I'll let ya know how it fits.

However, how can you not find a C cup in your band size? Me, I understand. At 4 months HRT, I've got barely enough to fill a bra, but enough to poke people's eyes out so a good pushup in my size would take me to a full A for sure, but I"m surprised as a C cup you can't find anything that fits.

Hope that helps

Ashley

Not to be a total wet blanket, but I went to a Bra specialist store here a few weeks ago. I have three bra's from them in two different band sizes, and two different cup sizes. A 44B, a 44C and a 46B, and that is just the way the darn things fitted with the help of a professional fitter!! I have bras from Target and Wal Mart that are 42B and 42C and even they fit. I do have cheaters (bra inserts) that I wear from time to time, and not always in the same bra!! 5 years on E, what's a Trans* girl to do??

my problem is that i measure a C but I dont fill any i have tried out and I have yet to find a 40B that even fits. It is more and issue of sizing and being relitively early development of the breast. I will give that website a look and give them a try.

The make what are called "bra extender" tabs, which are pieces to increase the length of the band. You can make a 38B into a 40 or 42B that way. Also, we need to subtract a partial cup size, or get some silicone inserts, or just nursing pads to pad us up. I have some water retention issues that can affect boob size a bit and have no shame in using the inserts.

I am now using a small pair of silicone forms that i got from our sponsor. They fill me out enough and also protect the girls as they have been quite tender. The extra padding has saved me some big owes.

I sometimes use the extenders on some of the old bras i have. They do work and simply clip on to the strap allowing an inch or so.

I grew up under my mothers excellent tutelage and she never realized I was a little sponge. Go with a girlfriend to the large department. Stores and leave your billfold in the car. Girl, you are going bra shopping . Wear a top that you can slip off easily. Take a pen and notebook and try bras on in your band size and smaller. Preferably a padded bra but those are hard to find in our size. Try different brands and let your girl friend help you pulling bras. My helper happen to be my daughter. Two and a half years later and a DD and I can show my face without embarrassment.

And kids love to show up their dads. Good luck in finding the right company that makes bras that fit you. Heck if 85% of woman can wear the wrong size, we can to. VBG. Kathy

Welcome to TransPulseForums @gizgizgizzie    I hope you find this place as helpful as I do. I’m also in a slow transition living in the androgynous world. I’m out to my grown children and my extended family with mixed support from them. Some have cut me out of their lives and others want me to be their flamboyant family member.    Best wishes, stay positive and motivated    Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Accidents happen.  So do heat-of-the-moment murders, without premeditation or trans-related hate.  It will take a trial to really figure it out.     One thing we can see from this is that it is people in our circles of acquaintances, friends, and partners who are the ones who usually hurt us.  Not someone random. We have to be careful who we trust.

Friday May 17th is IDAHOBIT (International Day Against HOmophobia, BIphobia and Transphobia).   Do you acknowledge or celebrate it? Do you do anything special for it, like taking part in any organized events or activities?   I'm not an activist and I prefer to fly under the radar, but I am slowly becoming aware of important dates. I have been aware of the date of IDAHOBIT for a few weeks now, but other important 'rainbow' dates have not been etched into my brain yet.    I will wear my favorite pride t-shirt as a token acknowledgement of the day, but it probably won't be seen; cool weather here will mean that it will be hidden under a sweater.

Happiness for me comes from being cognizant of the things that make me feel good.   Sunshine.   Pandering to my inner woman.   Knowing that some people in my life really 'know' me.   Vacations, and Eggs Benedict at an alfresco cafe.   My wife and I being telepathic.   Grandchildren.   Music.   Wine!

True.  Every trans death is not a hate crime. There is so much hate expressed by some people, that we kinda get to expect it.

Hello & welcome, giz! Your post makes me remember how excited I was to join here too. I also had queer friends at the time I joined, but any of my trans friends lived a long distance away. So most local queer friends are gay & I felt uncomfortable coming out to them bc I couldn't assume they'd understand genderqueerness. So it was a thrill to join here and immediately have access to do many wonderful, genuine, kind & thoughtful friends-to-be.   Are you saying you're concerned that if you come out to your queer friends that somehow your parents will find out?     My love, I just want to affirm that that's not a weird dysphoria. It's just dysphoria. And we definitely get it. You're in good company here!     Look forward to seeing you around here & getting to know you. I shoot for androgynous appearance as well, leaning towards masculine.   Hope you're having a splendid day!

Listening to a YouTube mix for me and this song came up and I immediately fell in love again and just want to play music with like minded musicians playing OUR music and feel the joy and fulfillment even if no one else gets it. I love to fall into the music....
