scar removal?

compliments of knee surgery about 6 months ago, i have a 5.5 inch vertical scar accross my knee cap on my right knee. while it is starting to dissapear a little more, im very concious of it when i wear shorts. and i believe will end up being very noticeable if i wear anything partially-revealing later on.

-also an old scar from when i was little going diagonal across my forehead (think harry potter scar, but straight line instead of lightning bolt). my hair generally hides it but, i know its there which is enough to bug me.

anyone have any experience with scar removal/treatment or have any success with it?

My only suggestion is maybe try that Mederma stuff? It's about the only thing OTC that's actually supposed to do something about scars. You could see a dermatologist if you want to really get serious about it.

With the really old scar, though, something to keep in mind is that it probably isn't as noticeable to other people as it is to you.

Finally, most people have the tact not to comment on others' scars. If you don't worry about them, no one else will, either.
