I have always admired you from a far,

I yearn to know your sweet melodies

I am changing now but I still seek your charm,

we can grow together with no harm

We can be good company on a cold winter night,

we can rock and roll but I will hold you tight

You can brighten me when I am sad,

you sing out a tune that makes me glad

You sometimes can put me in a whirl,

Yes, one of my grandmothers was Cherokee. I have deep interest in my Cherokee and Celtic ancestry.

I was raised on the banks if the Shenandoah River in Virginia at the northern terminus of Shenandoah National Park in the Blue Ridge Mountains. 'Shenandoah' is Tsalagi (Cherokee) for "daughter of the stars". I've lways felt a strong affinity for that. I've been many places. But this area is still my favorite place to commune with Earth. Backpacking in these mountains , I've felt the sky at my fingertips as I lay on the earth and stare at the stars in the heavens on clear winter nights. And I've wondered at the beauty my ancestors witnessed here. She truly is daughter of the stars!

Tell me of the Ozarks!

The ozarks are a stunning and powerful place for the soul. When I was about 9 yo my dad bought a 80 acre farm in the ozarks and I wish that he hadn't sold it. My fantasy is to win the lottery and buy a farm with enough land to have at least 2 horses to care for. I used to live in Oklahoma and me and my ex had 2 horses but a drought hit and we could not afford to buy hay and had to let them go. I miss the horses way more than my ex. We only had 4 acres of pasture and that wasn't anywhere enough to feed 2 horses. I just loved those horses each with its own personality.
