For those of us with too many clothes

I had a problem when i went full time. I'd been collecting clothes for years and so many of the outfits i could never wear in public, didn't fit or were soiled or torn. Even after doing that i find that i need to thin. Some of these suggestions are great for those of us who can't have closets the size of a house.

Some of those closets are bigger than my house.

Actually, that's what Im doing today. Yesterday I obtained a storage tub and I'm going to try to get more space by putting some clothes in a kind of a forced retirement that allows them the slim hope of seeing the light of day again.

I long for the day where I have to purge my womens clothing because I have too much. I'm barely to the point of having enough for daily, and still need to buy some winter type clothing.

Thanks Charlize that is a really good ideal My closet is a total mess!

I particularly like the idea of starting with all my hangers backward and changing them as i wear the item. That would not only suggest pieces to remove but would force me to try clothing i'm not sure of and also to use the "precious pieces" that will just hide forever while i wear the usual suspects.
