Went Shopping For The First Time in Ten Months.

I finally did it. I went shopping for femme clothes for the first time since February. I have been out of work for a while and have had little money in recent times but on Friday I had a enough cash on me to go on a very small shopping expedition. My plan was to go the charity shops and buy some dresses and skirts there. However, I find that the clothes in such shops are all crammed together making browsing difficult. I went into an inexpensive ladies store in my town and bought a cute glittery black blouse which be ideal for a Christmas night out. I also bought a long red gypsy skirt that I am not completely happy with but I will grow to love. I did try the glittery blouse on with one of my black skirts with nude tights and the combination was breathtaking. I was so pleased with I wore it again the next day. On the next day I managed to spend the whole day lying on the bed dressed as Belinda with a snug pair of tights. It was great and completely satisfying weekend.

Sounds like a great shopping trip, RB. I'm really glad that you got to go out and do something for yourself. Shopping is fun, no matter ones budget. Congrats!

I am so glad that you shopping experience went so well, as your femme self :thumbsup:

Early Christmas present shopping for yourself.

Try and not buy items that you are not completely happy with, and will grow to like.

Even if you need to spend a little more, you will be happier with clothes that make you fell good.

Finally,I am glad that you had a satisfying weekend.

Thanks ladies for your kind comments. Carla, sadly I have never been out as my femme self, but would love to one day. I am hoping I can go on another shopping spree before Christmas.

Please tell me you picked up something festive with sequins! It sounds beautiful.

If it is sequined, be careful with the top, the cheaper ones will lose sequins from a stiff breeze.

Welcome to LP Ocean1,

For starters. Clothing websites will have size charts available as well as how to measure yourself.

There is a information on here about that but I do not have that information at my fingertips at the moment.

Hopefully someone else will chime in with that.

Secondly.

Go to the store and try the clothing on.

      Wow, a shop that actually respects a customer's truck?  That seems like a miracle!  My husband does most of his own work, because he really, REALLY hates people who mess with an interior, with grease spots or footprints.  His personal truck is old, but super clean.  And since he's the transportation manager for his company, he's pretty picky about people respecting company equipment.  "Take care of it, and it will take care of you" is the motto.  Drivers should be able to go through a DOT Level 1 inspection without worry.

      Literally the word means "hatred of women" and so I don't think that's quite the right description for what you encountered.  Possibly chauvinism?  Or maybe just not wanting to bother somebody he figured wasn't interested or capable of doing the job?  Who knows.   But on the other hand...be glad you're passing

      Finally found a site that gives the definition of defemination as a process of loss of feminine characteristics or continued loss of them.  Not a word I would use every day, although I can see where it would be a problem for some who value those feminine characteristics.  Yes I have seen it happen and now get the idea, and yes, not in so many words, but yes I have been up against others who do put down my femininity as being a pseudo female at the most polite and I cannot use the words hear for what it is at the worst.   Online, there is little to do about it except leave and block the people who do it and the places it happens, since it affects you much more heavily and negatively than it does the person doing it, and you need freedom from the stress.  The rules here which our "powers that be", namely the staff say we do not put up with members denying the authentic identity of other members.
