I Wish We Could All Go Out On A Girls Night Out.

I have met so many wonderful girls on Lauras. I keep wishing we could all meet up and have a girls night out. I realise that this is not possible for many reasons especially as most of you live so far away from me. However, it is a great fantasy. It would be nice if we could all dolled up in our femme girls and talk and act as the Women we have always wanted to be and not just guys dressed up. Wouldn't it be great to see each other in the flesh and admire each other outfits. Yet another of my man pipe dreams alas but a nice thought anyway.

It would be nice, however I'm no where near presenting in public. I'm currently relegated to underdressing. Frankly, I'd probably have a heart attack if I presented outside. *eeeek*

I have never worn a wig or wore makeup in all my years of private crossdressing but I do have quite shapely legs, although my knees have got a bit pudgy in middle age. The one thing that would prevent me from passing are my hands.

My wifes best friend noticed I've started shaving my legs, I told her I didn't want the hair obscuing my leg ink. She got mad at me for having nice legs than her :)

I often wonder how it would go as I suspect everyone has their own picture of everyone else. People make assumptions! It could well work though for small groups locally (which happens anyway). Now you mention it it's quite a way over the UK to Wales Belinda never mind the USA.

I have been out with a local trans group once. Got dressed, drove to DC, parked my car in a public lot, paid the fee at the machine, walked to a restaurant and had dinner with another lady from the group, and walked back to my car. All in broad daylight! Best experience of my life! It gave me the courage to go out on my own on another occasion. Alas, the opportunities are few and far between. Being able to go out with a group from here would be brilliant!

Yes, that would be awesome to all get together and go out and have fun as the real US.

As I read the replies here I see lots of girls saying "OMG, I couldnt do that " and I too find myself having those thoughts a lot. BUT........

Im thinking your idea is based on happening in ' THE PERFECT WORLD ' and not as it ...ugggggh.... is.

SOOOOO come on girls take a leap and kick up your heals, this after all is a dream of our world.

We all would be as we are with what we have and dont have and NO its probably not what we want but it is us and we all know that we are woman no matter what we look like. Inside we are female.

We are not judgemental of other trans people so we dont have that to worry about if we went out together.

No ones guna bash someone else cuz thier legs are harry or their shoulders are wider than their hips.

No ones guna laugh at my knoby knees or my big hands / feet cuz we all love each other for who we are inside.

I do this too but Im so tired of seeing US being so hard on ourselfs all the time and seldome just cutting loose and enjoying who and what we are.

We are MEN or WOMAN and we need to enjoy this more.

So, Please stop bashing ourselfs. If only for a little bit and maybe it will become permanate.

SOOOOOO Come on girls and guys lets party and be ourselfs for a night even if its only in a dream world.

I know I ramble a bit here but hope you get what Im saying.

We were asked to go out and have fun together as the real us. I for one would love to get together with all of you and enjoy who we are.

What you say is so true. And I did find a trans boutique that also has a social club, and at some point I do believe I will use that as a starting point. But in all reality, for several reasons, I'm simply not there yet. I still have more work to do....

Go for it Fiona.

Went to my trans women's group meeting last night ( DRESSED )

I so love going there dressed its so liberating.

After the meeting a few of us were talking outside and one of the ladies asked if we wanted to go have a bite to eat.

As I haven't ate diner yet I said sure then realized I was in fem mode. oooooooo dare I ???

Well there's safety in numbers and the area our meetings are in seem to be LGBT friendly soooooooo OK I'll go.

We walked several blocks to a bar/restaurant.

What a blast we had. Great food , awesome convo and friendly people and guess what !!! no one bashed us or anything.

WE were just people having a bite to eat and talking. not freaks at the circus. or weirdos to be gawked at. Just friends having a good time.

Doesnt mean Im going full time right now but it did teach me that maybe I worry to much sometimes.

OH OH BTW.... during break at the meeting I was telling someone that I needed to have someone teach me more about makeup.

The lady I was talking to said " Why ? I think your makeup looks great....very fem "

OMG had to look behind myself to see if she was talking to someone else but there wasn't anyone there. So I guess Im doing better than I thought. WOOOOHOOOOO.

Lets party lol

Can i come to the party as well. I remember the wonderful nervous excitement of being out of the closet. I would be happy to share that with wonderful sister here. I have enjoyed a few get together with folks from Laura's and is so nice to put a live memory with the words we read here.

Hugs,

Charlize

I'm so happy for you, And now since my wife shaved my remaining facial hair, I'm starting to feel better, like I'm on my way to potentionaly peesenting/passing. I do need to learn to work on my voice too. I do need more cosmetic practice and we're still working on the proper colors and I'm thinking about having a tutorial for trans makeup at Carla's.

I am farily confident that I'll venture out relatively soon. What's relaticely? Awesome question, but I don't have an answer. *hehehehe*

*hugs*

YES Charlize

I would be hurt if you didnt come with.

You are an inspiration to many here as to me also.

Im thinking that if the call came out for a get together with all of Lauras girls and guys. Not one of us would turn down the opportunity to strut our stuff with each other.

We seem to mean so much to each other and each and every one of us has gotten and contributed something from this site. Telling me that we are a very special group.

I love all of my trans brothers and sisters and I feel the love back from you every day that I come here. Thank you all.

Peace and tranquility

April, that is def good advice. I have had some really bad experiences with a therapist in the past. She way violated my trust. That caused a massive amount of damage to every corner of my life. Truthfully, because of that i have alot of deep seeded trust issues. I'm not sure i could ever go back to therapy. You are of coarse right, therapy would help, suppose its a matter of finding the right one and learning how to trust again.

I look for purses with a shoulder strop that goes across the body. I also like many pockets. But one purse is not enough. I like purses that are artistic and make a statement about my personality. It doesn't have to be flamboyant, but matches my character. I also need a purse when I want to blend in and not be noticed so easily. One that won't draw attention to me when I don't desire it.

What if a social media platform giant, (we all know its name) on devices we own, is held responsible for creating rules to intentionally target our community? for political reasons?

Well just got back back from a visit to our oldest and family. It was nice having my granddaughter snuggle up to me on the couch. Gave me a big hug when we went over yesterday. Spent all day yesterday with them.  I envy my granddaughter, being able to grow up a girl. Something I wish I got to do.    Hugs, Kymmie

I hope our members from the Mid-South are doing OK today.  A lot of places had a real disaster overnight.  Tornadoes dropped all over, through Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, and Tennessee.  Lots of damage, and many people missing.  Pray for those involved, and that there won't be another wave of it tonight.   My county was spared almost all of it, but a neighboring county was hit hard.  Our Defense personnel were mobilized this morning to assist with access control, because all their local LEOs are needed for search and rescue.  No idea of how many are injured and missing, but there have been several deaths.  We may not know for weeks.  Rural areas here have a lot of shacks and trailer houses, and most people were asleep because it hit at the worst time - early morning on a Sunday during a holiday weekend.  Tornado hit a retirement home, and lots of elderly folks were hurt bad.  There was no forecast for this, and little if any warning.      Electrical outage is widespread, and it has been followed by a really hot, humid day.  Heat index is around 115 - it's killer heat.  I went out with my husband this morning, since everybody with a CDL was needed for a convoy.  I'm back home now, since I only got a couple of hours of sleep last night.  He'll probably be there overnight, and GF is there also helping with mechanical issues.  They've converted a big Baptist church into a community shelter for people who have lost their homes, and set up a generator and AC.  I'll probably go back tomorrow to help some more, as they're working on setting up a kitchen...nobody wants to eat MRE's forever.    They're getting no help from the state at all yet.  Governor didn't bother to declare an emergency until this afternoon!   The National Guard hasn't been activated either.  If it wasn't for Defense personnel, there'd be gawkers and looters. Its ridiculous, like only the cities matter.  Two rural towns literally no longer exist - its like a bulldozer a half-mile wide went through.  I've seen tornado damage before, but this is the worst.  Its just heartbreaking to look at it.
