For a while now i have been at a standstill i had told my parents but i had not crossdressed since i was 5 or 6. just the other day i went to the mall with a friend and we bought a few basics and now im hooked. i hope to have a full wardrobe in the next few months.

I havent dared try makeup yet but im happy just being dressed (complete with homemade breast forms) i am soo happy!!

Im going to go shopping by myself next time just to gain confidence and so im not so dependant on my friends.

anyways, thanks for all of your help and support everybody!

P.S what are the little transparent hangy bits by the straps of a dress for?

Contagious - be careful! HA Are you talking about the little cloth loops for securing the dress to the hanger? They slip over the hook.

My first breast forms were water balloons - feezing cold at first!

Shopping - isn't it FUN :)

You'll find that its really no big deal to go into a store and buy whatever you want. The salespeople are usually very nice and helpful. After a few times, if you havn't done it yet, you'll get more comfortable and start trying things on at the store.

It makes it so much easier. You don't have to return something if its too big/small. Plus you get to see what it looks like on you instead of just on a hanger. I've seen many things that I thought I would like only to put them on and then wonder what I was thinking...

OMG Lizzy, my first ones were latex gloves filled with water... Those were the days...

Also rolled up socks! And pantyhose stuffed into a ball, and I have heard some CDers use rice in cotton bags for a realistic weight - hummmm, if you are on a desert island, you wouldn't go hungry!

I once made forms using gel from whereever - gel in the computer wristpads work, cut in half with scissors, put in those Chineese rice bowls, heat the gel at 150 and it melts - the bowl are rounded inside - smokes a bit so i wolud wait until no one was home! Awwww crazy days! Blue gel = blue breasts!

If you start out with blue breasts how can you tell when you're getting cold?

So whats the best home made breast form? I am quite partial to pantyhose rolled up in a ball, ooh, and I have tried, don't laugh, but those sponge ball things that you use in the shower...they aren't sponge, its not cloth...tis like a rough, frilly type material, in a ball, good for washing your body with soap...but yeah, two of those, same size. Realistic look, but gets itchy, doesn't feel too right. What else could I use?

and congratulations on going out, great for you! :)

Hey thisismylife!!

Good going!! Feels good doesn't it!! To go and and buy a dress that you love!! I applaud you to have the courage at your age to go out and buy the clothes that are you!! I furthur applaud you in your desire to shop by yourself (now that is really an experience, especially the first time!!) you will remember it always!!

When you decide to try makeup, I suggest the Neutrogena brand. For me, it works the best.

Now, as far as the transparent things on the dress, I don't know. None of my dresses ever had that. If I were to guess, maybe they have something to do with strap adjustment.

Anyway, congratulations!!

Love

bernie

Great for you. Honestly I'd still be far too afraid to shop for anything.

But once I get my driving license maybe I'll buy something. But personally I'd rather be able to order something online, people in shops here are too judgmental.

Congratulations thisismylife that is a real milestone that you have taken. Something I have not really managed to do yet, well not without being dragged into the shop Haha. As for breast forums, I have been quite lucky there, I am a little on the plump side and have man breasts which are quite big anyway and with the correct bra they look not too bad. Hopefully when I finally start HRT they will develop more into feminine breasts than the man boobs I have at the moment lol.

I can't believe i just said all that, im gonna hit add reply before i change my mind

I am a little confused about the word in your title there.    Defamation is a variation I know about, and it is akin to Libel and Slander in meaning, and could be the object of a court action or a couple of types.   If you are referring to the act of denying or taking away your feminine gender, ie. they keep using masculine names and pronouns or referring to you as  a "man" or "man in a dress", then yes it happens to me on rare occasion and if it is online, I simply block the moron doing it or leave the group where they are doing it, and may or may not come back if the person is there.  When people are willing to learn about Trans Folks I do give what are jokingly referred to as Trans 101 or even more in depth classes to the receptive and accepting audiences.  I DO NOT however try to teach a pig to sing, which as they say sounds like hell and annoys the pig.  If someone is invalidating your gender, get away from them safely and FAST.

My inner child likes to cuddle with Blahaj.  I know it's weird, but it works for me.

I'm not sure they can do this.  Not on line anyway.  LOL   Defamation?  Not that I personally know of.

Nice! I've found myself shopping around for astrophotography gear more than once but haven't taken the plunge yet. To close to a metro area to do it from my home.

It never occurred to me to be able to see them here in the south.   Maybe tonight if it's not cloudy.

Well, this last post brings my trans life up to date.  What happens from here is anyone's guess.  The next big milestone will be retirement, probably next year some time.  I don't think that will change things much for Sally because as I have stated previously, I am in a mostly happy place where she is concerned.    I do have a few more posts planned, as I would like to write in more detail about a few occurrences that were memorable to me.  Hopefully they will be of interest to others.    Hugs,   Sally

Has anyone been a victim of online defemination? and what to do about it?
    • Vidanjali
Yes, this is very therapeutic. You are able to see different aspects of your own personality. There is the part which has survived life thus far through decision making and lots of trial and error. That part of you is your wise and capable parent. When you feel strongly identified with the scared child in you, you can turn to the wise parent part of you whom you trust to guide you. You have faith and trust in that part of you necessarily because it has gotten you this far. Naturally, we all have room for improvement and advancement, but you can only start where you are and try to do your best with what you have to work with and deal with. But by adopting this attitude, you see that wise parental part of you become stronger, wiser, and more steadfast and skillful. Then the child in you increasingly becomes more trusting and carefree.

You want to hear coincidence? I just posted that and my neighbor just texted me and said she has been up early because there were Northen Lights outside. Then 2 seconds later I get an extreme weather alert. “We are experiencing Extreme Geomagnetic conditions observed and continued severe geomagnetic storms expected to continue through the weekend”.

No you aren't!!  There were reports from Texas, Arkansas and the Carolinas of spectacular shows last night.  This is a once-in-a-lifetime event, the best show since 1938, someone said.  Tonight is supposed to be just as good.  (OK, maybe a twice-in-a-lifetime event.  )
