Charlize you have been in my thoughts and prayers. When my new Dr and I were discussing my health and the dangers of T etc I told her I had already had years I never expected to have and rejoice in every one. If I die tomorrow then it will be okay. It makes today sweeter and more important because I know that each one is a gift. I'm nearly 20 years over my life expectancy and just before transition was down to months at most probably weeks. I had been told it was impossible to fight my way back. They were wrong. Possibilities are always so much greater than we can know.

I don't want to die tomorrow but knowing I could doesn't cast a shadow over today. You are such a wonderful remarkable woman with what sounds like a beautiful life now. Just hold on to that and enjoy it every moment you have it. What will happen will happen and the time to pay for it is when it does.

Which I hope will turn out to be much much longer than you think.

Love

Johnny

I'm not sure i want to post this as it may be snatched away as it has been 3 times before. I am approved for an orchiectomy and have a date of August 12 set with Dr. McGinn. This has been a long(over 2 years) struggle to be healthy enough and to get a cardiologist that will approve me for any surgery. I will still need to be on very aggressive blood thinners throughout the process but Dr. McGinn says she can handle that. SRS is not for me but this will allow some freedom from the old tyrant T without medications that are not good for me over a long period.

I see my new cardiologist in a few hours.....he's getting a bottle of syrup! I just need to stay healthy for a month. Having already prepped for this 3 times in the past i'm not worried about those issues.

Finally! Oops said that before....... ssshhh.

Hugs,

Charlize

My new cardiologist is a sweetheart who takes his time to explain difficulties but also listens. He is in a GLBT friendly practice at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. It is a bit of a drive from here but well worth the trip. He actually went through the results of my last cath. and explained the condition my coronary arteries are in. Scary! My heart is a mess but it is working and so far i've had the advantage of feeling new problems as they occur. Several of the vessels that were changed in open heart surgery are blocked. Other natural vessels are blocked or partially blocked often at places where stents have been placed in the past. When i hear the litany of problems it underlines the severity of my disease. I have to accept that. He also is able to at least accept me as a trans* person who has certain needs. E may become a problem for me but that's a bridge i'll cross in the future. At least he is willing to understand my life and help as much as he can.

I'm glad to have you wonderful folks here for support.

Hugs,

Charlize

Hi Charlize,

I'm so sorry that the cardiologist seemed to paint such a gloomy picture. Hope the Orchidectomy still goes ahead - third time lucky (as they say). You are in my thoughts.

Hi Charlize,

I am very happy about your new cardiologist :)

I am sorry that your heart is such a mess :(

I am also happy that he is accepting you as a Trans* patient with certain needs.

Cross one bridge at a time.

I's great that you gave found a Dr who accepts you and you can establish a relationship with. I do hate to hear about all the problems and wil send positive thoughts and prayers your way. Your sprirtual heart is so beautiful it just seems wrong that your physical one should be otherwise.

You are in my prayers Charlize. I'm still waiting for the peer to peer between my Dr. and the insurance company that will decide my appeal.

Fingers crossed! Got my blood test and chest x-ray yesterday as soon as i got the script. I must admit i loved putting the little pasties on my nipples this time through. I almost wore them home because the looked so cute on the girls. I'm scheduled for a physical on the 31st but i've already got the approval letter from my cardiologist. Hopefully the family doctor will give the go ahead as well. What a beautiful life.... i may even make it this time. I'll cross my toes as well. (ouch)

Hugs,

Charlize

My blood tests and physical went well this last week so now i think it is only a week + and i'll finally get rid of the little poskers. I don't regret them as i see my son and grandchildren but they've done their job and continue to cause difficulties. Now to get the last hay into the barn, last firewood into the sugar house wood shed, and otherwise prep for a few weeks of having to take it easy( awww shucks). Just have to keep my ticker ticking happily.

Hugs,

Charlize

I'm currently on the ballot for an open US Representative seat in Portland Oregon.  Here are some of the news stories on me:   Rachel Lydia Rand on Ballotpedia: https://ballotpedia.org/Rachel_Rand#Campaign_themes KATU 2 (ABC) Know Your Candidates 2024: Rachel Lydia Rand https://www.katu.com/news/know-your-candidates/rachel-lydia-rand-d-congress-district-3 League of Women Voters Candidate Forum for US Representative https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OOoS39CTEOw KOIN 6 Written Interview | top issues, what's going right https://www.koin.com/news/politics/rachel-rand-on-running-for-district-3-top-issues-whats-going-right/ League of Women Voter's Interview with Rachel Lydia Rand https://youtu.be/V5o9RKE3WVo     This is my third time running for US Rep.  Campaigning is very challenging for me because I only have two family members still alive and I've spent less than 2 weeks with them in my life and I have virtually no social network to start with and I don't belong to any social media sites.  I haven't even been able to post here and on sites like it because of rules about self-promotion.   I'm boldly saying in these videos that I want to be appointed to vice-president in the next 5 years.  My platform is about addressing climate change and everything that comes with it.  Population decline is the number one proposal I have and it is very, very scary and controversial for most people.  The way I see it is that oil is more than a fuel we burn in our cars, it's a substance we pave our roads with.  And it will run out, so at some point in the future, most of these roads are going to go away and we'll have a much harder time distributing food.  I play chromatic pennywhistle and I'm this iconic whistleblower politician saying that we will not be able to support 10 billion people at the end of the century on wind and solar power.  Even solar panels are made with oil and there isn't much difference between a wind turbine and a dam.  If we can build skyscrapers and nuclear power, then you'd think we'd be able to figure out how to make a wind turbine 100 years ago.  It's simply not as efficient.  The numbers I've crunched say that if we have one child for every two women for the next 40 years and then go back to normal replacement rate, we'll get our population down to 2 billion by 2099 which is where the world was at in 1950.  If we don't do that and stay on this current path for the projected 10 billion by 2100, then when oil runs out and climate change raises sea levels and floods coastal cities, humanity is going to be in a very uncivil situation.   I'm sorry that I'm not making a huge issue of transgender rights.  Of course I'm here to support our community.  I'd be highly visible on our national and international scene as a transwoman.  I tend to focus on engineering realities rather than these social issues.  It upsets me that people take engineering for granted.  People tend to just get in their cars and think that there will be some space age technical solution that will make it all OK.   OK, that's my rant for the day :-)  Coffee is on.  4:26am.  The ABC station is interviewing me again in a few hours and people can vote for me today.  Please consider spreading the word.  I'm only one person and it takes an incredible amount of effort to keep my political thinking and platform going.   Sincerely, Rachel Lydia Rand Jazz Musician | Software Engineer

"Exstatic" is an adjective that means feeling great rapture or delight. For example, "His wife gave birth to their first child, and he was ecstatic about it". Synonyms of "ecstatic" include rapturous, entranced, enthusiastic, and frenzied.

Good morning, everyone!!   A busy day ahead for me - need to cut the grass and then pick up the clippings. The grass grows so quickly this time of year. I cut almost 7 acres so that will take up most of my day. At least I can get some sun on my legs and arms!!   Time for another cup of coffee as I catch up here.   Enjoy this beautiful day we've been given.
    • April Marie
I started shaving my legs years ago - I started getting an occasional mild contact rash on my shins. That became my excuse to shave them for both me and my wife. Over time, the rash didn't expand...but my shaving did. Full legs....groin......chest......and finally my arms. Keeping the rash at bay was my excuse until I came out to my wife. Now I typically do a full shave on Sunday mornings. The hair is lighter but I just feel better with it gone - it helps with the dysphoria and dysmorphia. I will also typically do a chest touch-up mid week since I notice the growth more there.   I wish someone would invent a pill that would stop hair growth everywhere except on your head.

Good morning.   im not sure where the time went.  I had a decent nights sleep,  didn’t  tell Alexa to let me sleep another 5 minutes,  I didn’t do anything extra but it’s almost time to leave and I just got here.  Definitely only a one cup morning.    I have the overhead console out of the Ford. It needed some repairs with toothpicks and glue.  Been sitting all night t for the glue to harden. I’m always to impatient with glue but not this time.  I want it to hold. Ok the next owner won’t be able to change the lightbulbs however in my defense, the are led so they will likely still work when the car goes to the salvage yard.   gotta go. Not as much on my plate at work today but it’s always busy.   Willow

Yes, my programmer friends and I think that antivirus software is a virus.  It's constantly searching your system and slowing it down.  If you install your own OS and software on your machine, and you make backups of your personal files, then you can recover from viruses in an hour or two.  My computer is 10+ years old and is working as good as the first day I had it.   As long as my computer is doing what I want it to do, I don't care if someone is spying on my system.
