Passability?

My friends tell me I pass, but I know it's not completely true, I would really like some opinions, please.

I have worked a lot on my makeup, I have very fair skin and a very dark beard, so my shadow is fierce.

I also worry a lot about my chin and brows. I had the brows waxed, but that doesn't make the bone any smaller :(

I think my voice is going well as is my deportment, but I am feeling insecure about my face

.

Thanks.

-Joan

Dear Joany!!

We all MTF's are always too sensitive to our photos. I know, everytime I see a photo of myself, all I see is the "man" behind the curtain!. Dear Joan, you surely do pass. Your womanhood shines brightly through the photo!! Relax, my dear! You pass!!

LOL

I have prominent brow-bone issues also, but if you look for it, you'll notice quite a few cis-females with the same thing. Hairstyles can do a lot to downplay this. Honestly, you look great.

Okay, well, my opinion isn't exactly like everyone else's.

Do you pass? Well...almost. The only thing I noticed is something you already mentioned...the beard shadow. I'm at a loss for a suggestion though because I have a medium skin tone so finding a concealer that's a little lighter is easy. However you have fair skin, so I don't know if there is a concealer that is lighter than already fair skin, you know? and going a shade or two darker on your face would look weird when the rest of you is fair but your face isn't. maybe try to find a concealer that's lighter than your current skin tone and use that under your foundation and see if that's able to hide the shadow.

With the chin and the brows, I'm not sure what you're referring to. The brows look good. Were you concerned about having a protruding arch bone? (I guess it's been referred to as a caveman brow bone or something) I don't see it in the picture and the chin is fine. There are women, even celebrities, with a chin like yours. (and according to eyebrowz.com I'm thinking yours is a heart-shaped face)

this is just my opinion though.

Thanks 4xO :)

And thanks for the tip, Lizzie!

I have a concealer that matches perfectly, but I should try a shade lighter (there is exactly one shade lighter than my match, I believe it's called "porcelain").

I got a recommendation for a dermatologist who supposedly wields a mean laser, I'm giving him a call tomorrow.

My body hair is FIERCE. I'm massively hirsute. Most of my follicles push out two or three hairs each, and it's coarse and curly and it grows like a demon.

I need to shave my face twice a day if I want to go out in the evening.

Waxing has been great for my torso and arms (although the center of my chest tears out like it's rooted in my spine  ), but this facial hair has got to -go-.

I've been told before that I have a heart-shaped face and that I should be happy about it. :)

I think I worry about the chin so much because my eyes are drawn there by the hair...

So I'll see how I feel about it after I get it lased.

:)

Yup! Since that's where your hair ends, that's where people's eyes are drawn to.

Perhaps having it longer would help that? and heart-shaped faces are great for eyebrows!

The lighting isn't great, but other than the beard shadow (which clocks you instantly), it looks like you chin is a little bigger than normal for females BUT the beard shadow makes it stand out. I don't think I would have noticed the chin if not for the shadow. At the same time, it's more pointed like a GGirls.

But from the pic, I say you have very pretty eyes. Granted I know NOTHING about makeup, but anything that draws attention to your eyes would help. Plus the general face shape is pleasing. Personally I think hairbands would be fabulous on you. Just my opinion, take it as you will.

Joan,

The body hair will just about completely cease growing by eighteen months in transition.

What survives will be very fine and easy to remove. The hairyness,we all abhor, will stop.

But like everything on this journey takes time.

Facial hair...Forget the laser.Electrology is the only sure fire thing to kill the hair.

Clearing your face,is the single most painful and costly part of becoming a woman.

In Dallas Texas,is Electro3000,with at each technician costing 100 an hour, you can get

a marathon clearing.That is seven hours of electro.For a girl with a heavy beard,they,

Electro3000,recommends two techs work on you the first two times. That is 1400 dollars

a day.But if you can't afford that, you can go with one.You still get a whole lot of clearing,

a butt load of pain, and the satisfaction of seeing yourself with a totally smooth face.

I have the contact info, just got back two weeks ago from my last treatment.

Hugs,

Angie
