So today I had an appointment with my Urologist. I hafta go pee in a cup for them each visit and when I was on the way back to the waiting room I swung by Ashley's office. She's the very nice lady that has been helping me in my fight with the insurance company. I just wanted to ask her how long I had, after this latest denial, to get the appeal in. And she tells me that it had been approved. I looked at her kinda funny, cause I'd just gotten the denial letter a week and a half ago. She's said she'd also gotten a denial letter and when she was talking with the insurance company they said it had still been in the appeals process, even though somebody had sent out the denial letter. Here I am, gearing up for a major fight with my insurance and now, out of the blue, I don't hafta fight em. I borrowed their box of tissues and cried in the waiting room for a lil while. Now, 5 hours later, if I think on it too long I'm crying again. Tears of happiness feel pretty good.

That's absolutely wonderful news, CM! :goodjob: Persistence pays off, after all. You deserve a big pat on the back for sticking to your guns. Congrats!

Congratulations! That is certainly the right kind of tears. I've enjoyed a few of them as well.

I was very surprised really. Tennessee is one of the states that has a very long way to go when it comes to Trans* rights. There was a constitutional amendment to not allow a Trans* person to get a gender marker change on their birth certificate. Now the problem is finding some place to do the surgery. St. Francis, Baptist and Methodist hospitals will not allow any kind of gender confirmation surgeries. If I had testicle cancer the surgery would be allowed. Because I am Trans* it's not. There is another place, the Urology Center I think, that it could be done at and my Dr's office is contacting them to set things up.

One thing I have noticed since I got the news yesterday, I am feeling a whole lot calmer. More at peace with myself. A mental shift, if you will, that has left me with an inner calmness and serenity that feels really good. I am ready for this. So ready.

I'm so glad for you. Buy a couple of pairs of boy shorts that don't pull up too tight down below. The incisions i had were right under where a normal pair of panties makes contact against the legs. Normal panties chaffed until i got some different ones. Healing took a bit of time but i'm a happy gal regardless.

Hugs,

Charlize

I saw this concert in which it is said that the famous phrase of Jon Landau "I saw the future of rock and roll and his name is Bruce Springsteen" comes from that night. By the way Bruce opened for Bonnie Raitt that night and she was the better performer . . . just sayin'.

Astronomy and astrophotography.  I have done a few public presentations on the subject and could most likely wing it for an hour without putting you to sleep.   On the other hand if you need a sleeping pill, I could also talk for an hour about flying and you'd be out cold.

Please consider joining us, even if it's just for a few minutes to see what the meetings are like. I've learned so much, had so much fun and gained confidence in myself just by being a part of this amazing group of people. It's a low key, no pressure, non-judgmental chance to just be among people who are supportive, understanding and affirming of each other.    I'm travelling out of state and still planning on dropping in for awhile.    Come see what it's like!!

Thank you, Susan!! It was such an amazing experience for me. I can't remember if I even talked about it on a Zoom meeting.   Here is the link to the post I made about it. And, again, thank you for helping to give me the courage to do it.

Good morning coffees   This probably doesn’t exactly apply to me because you wouldn’t have found a more shy and conservative person than me.  I was perhaps less shy before my sister started complaining about me doing things that were hers to do. And I would become embarrassed and that was the end of that.   upstairs unit got their typical weekend visitors in the middle of the night last night.  They woke me up.  They have little consideration for being in a condo community and the neighbors being in such close proximity.   @awkward-yet-sweet , how goes the job with your husband’s boss?  I don’t recall you saying much about it this week, but I could have missed a post along the way.  If I recall you were supposed to meet with him last Monday.   @KymmieL I hope you are feeling better.     Yes, I find it to be wrong that just because a car part says Ford or Chevrolet on the box that same part with Lincoln or Cadillac on the box cost a lot.more.  I know there are differences in the upscale brands such as the engine and drivetrain in the Caddy and of course the interior fit and finish.  But it’s the same body with things crammed in the same way under the hood.     well, time to finish my coffee, fix my hair and made my way across the street to work.    willow
