Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to introduce myself, my name is Dan, I am 45. I knew when I was very young that something just wasn't quite right with my body. I did everything I could do be more like the person I felt I was than the one I was born as. Living with being a man inside a female body has been the toughest road I think a human can endure. Especially since where I grew up in the Great Plains Area there really was no resources of any kind to look to for help. It is hard to have a full blown relationship with anyone when no one understands. I come from an area where most everyone is in the closet about transgender issues. So I am hoping to find some new avenues of support. Well I guess I will add more later just wanted to say hi.

Hi Dan and welcome, i think after you read some posts you will find you are by no means alone, there are quite a few transitioners here older than you, I'm 57 and MtF. Seems everyone i have talked to knew at an early age and struggled their whole life.

Thanks to all of you for making this a little bit easier to get use to still trying to find myself around the site and yes I keep getting a bit lost here. But in time I am sure I will figure it all out. So far my visits here have been eye opening to the fact I now know I am not alone in my transition. At least here I feel I am understood, where the rest of the world would rather close a blind eye. Thanks again my new friends for the warm welcome.

Welcome, Welcome. My name is Lewis, and I'm the awesome-est FTM on here. (the name says it all.) I'm always sniffin around and postin on the FTM forum. I have a blog I just made, that I'm working on turning into a guide for FTMs, http://lewsftmguide.blogspot.com/ , I think the next posts I put up in there will be about work outs, and diet. (I find if I write about it and give other people advice about it I have to stick with my advice and not be lazy. ;P) And I'll probably do a post about coming out, now that I think about it. So feel free to refer to there for basic stuff.
