Hrt And Decreased Libido

It is usually said that HRT seriously decreases libido.

I would very much like to listen to your experiences about it.

Did you experience a decrease in libido while taking hormones? How intense was this decrease?

For how long did it last? For all the years that you had been taking hormones or only for some months/years at the beginning?

Mak, i had a very strong libido but because of meds and diabetes i have severe ED, after being on hormones about 6 - 7 months my libido has gone to zero, however there are others that i know that had very low libido's before starting hormones now have high libido's , my one friend is like that. So i think it depends on the person, sorry i couldn't give you a more definitive answer.

HUGS!

Paula.

I had zero libido, now I have a mid-low range libido on hormones. Lower testosterone gave me more sex drive, go figure that out. I have my theory, but its nothing really.

I can kina relate to what Sara is saying too, I've never been able to truly enjoy intimate encounters before transition, though I tried and faked it alot.

My libido has also improved being 11 months into HRT but not the kind of libido many would think, My bits downstairs are 'chemically carstrated' so to speak, but for me it is a totally different feeling that enhances my libido, more of sensation through my whole body rather than my genitalia.

I hope this makes sense but at the same time I'll spare the details. :D

My libido didn't drop until probably after the second month of HRT. It was a gradual thing. Eventually the idea of arousal was more of a chore that I didn't feel like doing and it stayed that way the entire time I was on HRT.

I've been off HRT...and I still don't have much of a libido.

Looking back in my journal. At the beginning of my HRT, I was first put on just spiro and in about three days, I noticed a significant decrease in my libido. I would probably get one morning erection about once every week. Five months now on both spiro and estradiol, I may get one every three weeks. I love the decrease in libido very much.

My sex drive dropped to nil within a very short time on HRT.Haven't had a morning wakeup call

in two years.But...I can,and do,still get erections.Just not near like they used to be.And why an

Orchiectomy,if SRS/GRS is not in my near future, will be in my plans for this year. The Boys Have
