Hi,

Well lets see if your a female and , we dont all come with the hour glass figure, yet many of us do have a nicely shaped body , I have and at just over 68 im happy with waht i have mind you i can say that from age 10 never had an issue there ,

just so you know im 5 ,9 , 11 1/2 stone = 154 Lbs, size 16 skirts= 34 1/2 in , tops are 18 or 18 in,s, shoes 11 womens or 8 mens

I have a waist im happy with or in other words my skirts dont fall down , breasts 41 In real , hips 39 ins, and my clothes fit nicely ,

So you see and i dont need an hour figure ,im not a young lass of 16 or under 40 ,

If you wont an hour figure then you can try what our women used in the 1800,s or even 20 and 30,s just remember pull your waist in like some of them did and you dont wont to know what damage was done to thier insides and some died because of it why did they do it because men wonted to see a sexy looking female at any cost ,and yes there was a cost ,

Okay to day check on your food intake and what you drink do running or other forms of body fitness , just remember it wont change your bone structure just you fat , body mass and muscle tone if you do too much youll do your self damage and youll pay for that later in life , so some is okay just dont do over the top and expect to look like a female as many men think they can ,

if your born with a body thats trim firm and your fit then you have a better show of looking something like a woman , and depends on age ,

have a look at womens Shapewear Girdles and womens body shapers ,

Bobbisue only opened the door. Giggle.

I could talk for days about corseting and corsets! Great gramma had it right, to bad they fell from common use. I love wearing all of my corsets. They will modify one's shape.

Now if you don't read this part carefully you can be dead or in a world of hurt! Follow all instructions carefully:

Study all you can find about corseting on the web. History, yesterday and today. Throw out one third of the information as erroneous or useless.

There are generally three types of corseting, fashion, waist training, tight lacing. Fashion corsets are only light duty and worn on the outside of garments only. They do little to no shaping.

The other end of the spectrum is tight lacing. That can damage or kill you. The reasons? I can assume that you are too old and not adolescent little rubber people, you are not genetically female so you can never safely pull your waist in six to nine inches. Heed that!

What you can safely do is waist training. There you pull your waist two inches, the goal eventually four. This does not happen fast but months and months to years. If you stop early on you will revert back.

Next of critical importance. Did you study your homework assignment on the web so you understand completely what I convey? See your doctor. Have a truthful conversation about your transitioning and intentions to waist train. If you are not willing to take these steps, stop here and disregard.

But why Jody? Because in corseting you will be slowly reshaping your rib cage, mainly the four flexible ribs, two per side and be bending them down.

Also you will be slowly rearranging your internal organs, slowly repositioning them to conform to a new outer hourglass shape.

You can find nice inexpensive waist training corsets off the shelf at corset deal dot com. They start at thirty-five dollars and up. Later on after say a year, you may want a custom corset, plan to spend two fifty to five hundred dollars. Beauty is not cheap, but tailored to you.

I have three corsets so far. One underbust and two overbust. I wear them both under and over. I get a lot of compliments too.

Learn about bunny lacing and self lacing so you can put them on and off quickly, easily by yourself. Many good videos on UTube for that.

I ordered my first corset, studied the videos waiting for it to arrive. I took it out of the package laced it right on with ease and girlfriends I was Hooked!!!

Remember a new corset has to be broken in to match your body. They need to make friends, so follow all the break in, care and storage instructions. It's an investment and adventure into conventional womanhood. Hug. JodyAnn

An hourglass assumes a smaller center as well as bigger top and bottom. Males generally have bigger tops and pretty straight or tapering in from there . More like an inverted triangle. While corsets may work for you it is also possible to pad your hips to create the shape you desire. You can find many manufacturers on the internet. I wore padded panties for a time when i felt that was necessary. If you can afford the higher end ones they do look quite natural as they provide a bit of major bootie.

Corsets have come into the fantasies of nearly every CD I have met or known over the net here. Jody Ann gave some EXCELLENT advice in regard to them, and I am relaying the request of an M.D. friend of mine to be honest with your doctor about using them even if you are not "out" or on hormones.

Charlize ideas about using hip and breast enhancers is also a good way to do it, and is safer but is not yours 24/7.

Hormones will do some good to help, but look at your natal female relatives to get an idea of what they can do on their own, and use ONLY under medical supervision, (who you will also notify about using waist cinchers). My waist did become more feminine from seeing me head on, but they are still working on the beer belly I had developed honestly from beer back 20 years ago so a profile shot is not my best friend there.

It is also important to remember that the hourglass shape is far more of a myth than a reality among women. They come in all shapes and sizes and some just can't be hourglass no matter what they do. The media has always portrayed the ideal rather than the real. And in trying to meet that ideal women suffered and even died back when an hourglass was seen as the ultimate in female figures. The tips you have been great for maximizing the potential that you have.

Thanks Vivian, let me chime in about breaking in a corset.

The first time only lace it until it's snug. Only wear it two hours or less. You are making friends with your corset. If you pull all the way up, you may damage you and your corset. Honey, you can pull right up until you can't breath, pass right out and look very uniformed as the ER guy scissors your laces. Go slow. also you may want to avoid driving laced so tight. It may be uncomfortable while sitting, even though it was fine just standing. That will go away as the corset begins to take your shape.

When you take it off, hang it on a hanger vertically from the two little loop tabs on the top. Let her breath so any perspiration is quickly evaporated. No matter how nice you look, you won't be attractive smelling like a wet dog. Vertical will also help your new corset retain your shape. Most brocade corsets are dry cleaning only, cotton ones are machine washable. Avoid any washings until your corset has completely taken a set. Many wearings in.

All those old time cartoons of the guy with his foot in her back, straining to pull up her laces is completely bogus and male inspired humor. Throw those thoughts and images out now.

I put my corset on by first laying it out on my bed. Then I open the laces (no don't untie the bottom, lacing is supposed to be a closed loop.) just work the laces out so there is maximum gap between the cloth halves.

Next I put the corset on in an angle leaning to my left. That lets the modesty panel fall correctly in place (if I'm speaking greek, you didn't do your web corset homework. Busted!) then I close the front busk.

Then I stand up straight and pull in initially on the bunny ears. Then I reach back and smooth out the modesty panel. I pull up again. By now the top and bottom laces are still loose, bunched up and funky. Then I correct this easily without making newbie mistakes. I like to finish the laces top, bottom and then middle.

Of the four laces at the bunny ears, I find the top two, pull them up and then gather them in one hand keeping tension on them. I reach back with the other hand and pull up each lace cross working top down, as my other hand draws up the slack.

Do your girls look like a nice womanly shelf yet? Giggle.

I complete the bottom, by finding the lower laces of the bunny ears and do the drill again. Staerting at the crosses at the bottom working up.

The big finish it taking in a deep breath pulling in the tummy and give both bunnies a final pull. Look in the mirror, is all the lacing correct? Adjust as needed. Presto, your hourglass!

Now the blind dexterity test. Reaching back and bow tieing the bunny ears is an aquired skill. Make sure all the loops are even. Under clothes they can just hang. Over clothes I pull a lower lace and tuck them in. It looks better and it tends to thward the adolescent male urges to play on you the embarrassing prank of publically untieing your laces. You will be proficient at it all in no time, even before your corset is fully broken in.

BTW I wear a nice soft slippery cami under my corset. It helps the corset move around with me, absorbs perspiration, and keeps the corset from chaffing me. It's a nice sexy look too.

On another post later, I will tell you an easy way to get them off. LOL! Seriously, I can get in and out of my corsets like a fire drill. You can too. Enjoy being Miss Shapely. Hug. JodyAnn

As Johnny said the hourglass figure is more of a myth than reality among women.

Doing a quick search on Google or similar will yield a number of distict female body shapes which many women can align tthemselves with. The hourglass is only one of them.

For ourselves with usually larger waists and smaller hips there are shapes that fit. I also suggest just sitting in a busy area and just comparing female shapes. I have done so and seen women with similar waist / hip ratios to me. I would think that would be the case with most of us.

A corset will modify things a little but will not easily change one of the other body shapes to hourglass without problems.

Excellent advice from so many. I have only recently discovered "shape wear" and find that it helps eliminate or at least disguise many unsightly bulges, while providing that slimmer look. It is also inexpensive, readily available, and snugly comfortable. Probably not the hour glass figure, but slimming and flattering nonetheless. Until I can lose this extra 10 ponds of holiday weight, this will work.

Ha, that's funny - I swear this is the one I used to use in high school to get around school blockers and play games. 😅🤦‍♀️   Though I'd be wary of using a free VPN today, if your only intent is bypassing censorship, I guess it works. Proton VPN also has a free tier with a limited selection of countries/servers. I feel more comfortable recommending them as they actively try to fight censorship with new evolving VPN protocols, and they protect your privacy. They are also directly funded by their paying customers. So there is really no downside to using their free tier over another free VPN that may not have the same goals/values.

That sounds pretty accurate. I'm just glad I don't use Windows anymore, as I basically consider Windows itself a virus/malware. Backups can absolutely save you from some types of malware like ransomware. However it's ideal to just not get infected by having smart browsing habits. It's been said, and very accurately so, that the best antivirus is you - even the best antivirus isn't 100% accurate in detecting bad stuff, if you go out looking for that stuff or browse carelessly.   I guess if you don't care and/or don't have sensitive data on your PC, then that's fine I suppose. I personally care a lot - personal accounts, private messages, and even my very presence on this site aren't necessarily things I want to be public knowledge. 🤓🫠

Yes he is. Sorry it has taken so long. One sick kid and the other has needed my attention more than usually.

Sure is! Is he good with the kiddos?

Once again the Biden admin ignores Congress and issues a regulation that can be quickly changed. It would be much wiser if they worked a bill through Congress that became law.

I think that is the camera on the floor. Of course the kids aren't picking up after themselves oh well. He sure is big for only being 6 months old.

@Birdie @Adrianna Danielle    @Willow    Big news today. We're moving to WA. My wife is taking a job and I am most likely losing mine, so it's adventure time. I'm supposed to be a risk-seeker (Aries, ENTP, etc.) but this is hitting every klaxon and alarm in my brain, but it's going to make my wife and kids happy and it will be a place to make new friends as me without the 45 years of binary baggage. There are tech jobs all over Seattle, which we'll be near, and it's a decent State for trans rights (I don't know how it compares to MN, which is a refuge state). So wish us luck! This could be the best thing ever or rocky as hell, who knows!
    • Ashley0616
I know the feeling. I had to replace the dishwasher, fridge, stove. The only other issues that could pop up is the washer and dryer and the microwave oh I forgot the toaster.

That's the hard part of online relationships, they really never get to see the whole you. You either have to create a persona that will carry the day until they get to see you for who you are, or be open and take the risk because it's really easy for them to disconnect because there is little to no bond.   You have to share pictures of your puppy! I am not a dog person, but I can appreciate them in jpg format! My kiddos would love to have a pet, but we're all allergic in some shape or form and my wife and I are like, "no." :D
    • Ashley0616
I'm sorry Birdie! I wished you could move to a non-stressful place.
    • Ashley0616
I love shopping for cars with my imaginary budget lol. A mustang is always fun to drive! Every time I felt down or depressed I drove it and it made me happy!
