If I had "made the change" years I definitely would have been hippy chic, but after decades in the business world I prefer good fitting, stylish clothes with a timeless look. I do particularly like wide legged tailored trousers. Since I'm tall it's a look that works for me.

Right now my favorite outfit is a simple knit top and a pair of slacks which are fairly low cut, close fitting around my backside and have wonderfully large legs. They are home made of a wool like fabric in a dark blue with white pinstripes. So comfy and i get the nicest compliments on them. $2.00 on e-bay. You luck out sometimes.

Oh by the way they remind me of the bell bottoms i wore in the 60's when i was a hippy just a lot cleaner.

Hugs,

Charlize

I guess I would have to say "business casual", most of the time, whatever that means nowadays. Mid length skirts and nice tops I suppose. Although, with cold weather upon us, it's maxi skirts and sweaters right now. Today it's a turtleneck sweater, jeans, and heels. Hmm, I guess I have a few "favorites". I was just thinking this morning how I like the look of medium heeled pumps and jeans. Oh well, depends on the day I guess.

my wardrobe has become huge over the years. so huge in fact that I am afraid it is going to start attacking cities in tokyo ,lol. I could literally make an outfit for any occasion out of what I have. I tend to favor fall fashions though , you can layer outfits and accessorize in ways you can't in summer. I have also developed a thing for boot socks . the socks that stick up just above knee high boots with designs on them. their so cute! some of my favorite things are the sweaters I got over this christmas and new years , 3 sweaters and two sweater dresses they all work with jeans or leggings, boots or sneakers .

Me too! All the above! I had to weed out about two thirds of my wardrobe. It was so fun donating to a shelter, they use the clothes directly. I get to see my friends in my nice clothes.

Many, many items were given to me, so I was just re-gifting. Giggle. Hug. JodyAnn

Recently I have found myself wearing more and more loose fitting clothes, in particuliar I found 2 tunic style tops that are on the longish side which I find helps me from feeling less self concious about how how I may look down below, matched with loose fitting pants I feel confident in my appearance, and they just give me the feeling real femininity, my style is getting more age appropriate all the time, but I find myself wanting to look as feminine as possible.

These days I am living around the house in leggings, t shirt and short skirt. When out, being winter, it is usually either jeans with t shirt, polo neck sweater top and a fleece, or fleece lined tights and knitted mid thigh dress. I generally wear boots of some form when out.

I'm a wear to work girl myself, so skirts and tops that range from blouses, button up shirts, sweaters. I also have dresses too, but not enough for my taste. I tend to wear heels, but I also have a pair of flats for power shopping days. Twice now my S.O. has taken me power shopping in heels, there was much hate from my feet at the end of those days. It is winter here, and we have about eight inches of snow on the ground so it has been knee high boots with my skirts and dresses.

Same here, I love the fall! My favorite outfit has to be a pair of cute boots and socks with jeans and a sweater. The other things I love to wear and use are leggings, also skirts and dresses are fun to wear.

I love leggings. Lately though they have become a absolutely necessary part of my wardrobe . due to my diet and work out routine . I have added a whole dress size to my booty and legs .... so now, nearly none of my jeans fit !! which is a cool problem to have but it has left me in a fashion pickle of sorts.since I am broke  I can't afford to re supplment them to a size that fits. but it is going to make that shopping trip awsome when I can finally admire all my hard work infront of a boutique mirror  I am not a big fan of skirts . I like dresses though I typically wear them mostly in the spring and summer. one the designe and color of my dresses just scream warm weather and two where I live it gets really windy in these months.... so I don't like old man winter trying to peek under my dress .

would love to wear leggings with my tunic tops when going out, but even with tucking properly I am concerned how they would look on a soon to be 65 year old

Oh my gosh yes, I have the same problems with my clothes!! I have added size in my lower body too so now I've been wearing shorts and sweats more often. But it definitely makes it worth it when it comes to that next shopping trip!! Also that's one of the bigger downsides of wearing dresses and skirts when it gets windy.

I love dresses in the wind! Nothing is more feminine and girly than keeping your modesty under control!

If Marilyn could do it, JodyAnn can do it! Giggle. Smile and watch the boys trying to peek. Don't give up anything. Hug. Jody

I am very much into the office girl look. I love blouses and pencil skirts worn with either nude or black opaque tights and court shoes with a small heel. I have always been crazy about hosiery since I started wearing them at age 12. Also love wearing glamorous dresses.

I am an evangelical  I am also transgender.  This is an issue. I have read up on it.  I am not an expert, but I have done a lot of reading.   One thing I do not get about people who take that position is that evangelicals are all about salvation by faith alone by Christ alone by grace alone - unless you are transgender.  Then you cannot be saved, these say, unless you do the work of un-transgendering yourself.  Which is, practically, impossible.  I have read the "solutions" and I don't buy them, obviously, because they do not work.    In evangelicalism salvation is by faith alone, Christ alone, grace alone, without any merit of our own.  That means, to an evangelical, we come to Christ as we are,  in the words of a glorious hymn,   1 Just as I am, without one plea, but that thy blood was shed for me, and that thou bidd'st me come to thee, O Lamb of God, I come, I come.   2 Just as I am, and waiting not to rid my soul of one dark blot, to thee, whose blood can cleanse each spot, O Lamb of God, I come, I come.   3 Just as I am, though tossed about with many a conflict, many a doubt, fightings and fears within, without, O Lamb of God, I come, I come.   4 Just as I am, thou wilt receive, wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve; because thy promise I believe, O Lamb of God, I come, I come.   We do not clean ourselves up BEFORE we come to Christ.  We let Him clean us up AFTER we come to Him.    Those who insist that transgender people cannot be saved are actually preaching another Gospel, a Gospel of works, and have wandered away from the glorious Gospel into works.  That is strong but true.   Struggling with legalism and grace, I have found more of God's mercy and grace available to me because I struggle with being transgender and seeking His resolution of it.  Which, not having the struggle, I would not have needed to seek Him earnestly on this.

Eventually, (especially if you start T,) things will even out. The excitement you feel is from everything being so new. Finally knowing yourself and having others recognise you can be thrilling. However, because it is your natural state of being, eventually that wears off. There's nothing exciting about it anymore because it's "just you." (Which is a perfect thing to be!) This, however, can lead to disappointment. Trust me when I say however, that that disappointment and jarring reaction to wrong pronouns will go away, and you'll once again feel comfortable in yourself.

I love long hair. I'm wanting my hair to touch the floor. I guess we shall see how long it can get.

I wear a wig most of the time.  But I can get by with my natural (shoulder length) hair if I wear a hat or something to cover the mostly empty top. Unfortunately that train has left the station, sigh.

Oddly enough, just this weekend I read some of my poetry at a local event.  In this case it was a Pride group so I didn't have a particular advantage.  But I have read in more inclusive (of cis people) situations, and been fairly well received.  Let's face it, cis people do deserve an equal chance.   I suppose this might be a problem in the future.
    • Ivy
Of course we do.  The few friends I do have are almost exclusively cis or trans women. I think I could have a relationship with a man, but he would be kinda "other" to me.  Could be interesting though. I never have understood guys - even when I was trying to be one.
