Just like it says in the topic: Hello, everyone!

I'm another one of those realized-it-very-recently trans women. I'm a late-bloomer; 40 is back thataways (points behind me). In retrospect I should have figured this out years if not decades ago, but in my case, lupus and all the complications that go with that absorbed a lot of my attention. Still does, actually, it's just that some recent breaks gave me the opportunity to realize that it wasn't all immune trouble but being trans as well.

I'm very glad to be here.

Well, I'm 59 and someone else is 57 and another is 61......so you're a youngster here!

I do think that you'll enjoy being were...it's a very loving and caring place with lots of wonderful folks and everyone has an opinion!

I do hope that you have the Lupus under control! Accepting your Gender Dysphoria will take some of the stress off of you!

AND bring up the last of the trio - and another is 61...... thats me! I have known about my transsexual condition forever but never had a name for it. I knew I was a girl in a male body from about age 4 or 5. As an adult I thought I just cross-dressed a little bit - well.. a lot - well... a whole lot... well... all the time! A gender specialist therapist told me what I am and suddenly it all made sense - so I have been here about five months. There are a few seriously senior people here... so

Ceri welcome to this world of wonder..not wonder who I am because most people who get to this forum accept they have some degree of gender dysphoria and are past the denial stage so now it will be up to you to see where you are going on this journey ...best advice I can think of is .............follow your heart and listen to others and then decide where you are going and talk as often as you can to your therapist....hopefully one trained in gender dyshoria...btw I'm 64......Welcome and please keep posting......Your new friend Mia

Yea, 40 is back that way for me too! I am so glad that you here and your have found yourself!! You have reached a real milestone in your journey!! There are many people here that you can count on for their consul and guidance. Please feel welcome and read the posts on the forums. Also, feel free to post as well. As you read the forums and contribute to the forums, you will see more and more of yourself, and realize that we are all going through the same thing! Some of us are completely transitioned, and some of us at the very beginning, and others are somewhere along the line. Regardless of where anyone is at, we all have alot to share with one another. Ceri it is--it's an old family name I always liked the sound of. My immune system is, well, it's kind of under control, like an unbroken horse that's at least in a good corral. But yes, for sure, acknowledging my gender already has helped--the last few months have been very productive ones as some old, old stress comes off.

Thank you everyone for the welcome! And it's really nice not to be the oldest one in the room and the last one to the party for a change.
