I tend to wear a full slip when wearing a skirt/dress and it is cold outside. Mostly for the extra layer. There are also some blouses that are not quite opaque enough that I would be worried about them seeing my bra, so I usually wear a camisole underneath for those as well.

I think the 3 best reasons are above....See through fabric, cold weather and a nice feel. The latter is not just a matter of that sexy feeling but is more critical with some rough fabrics.

Bought a new slip today ! Warmth and feel. I have to struggle to walk so skirts are such a blessing for many duties and easy to put on, plus I like skirts. I thinks it was one of my sisters slips I found in the laundry and put one when I started experimenting (easy on,,and most importantly easy off). Smile's... Sarah

the skirt, and or dress tends to sit nicer with a slip in that it doesn't bunch up when you are sitting, this along with all the other reasons listed.

Slips are heavenly, especially a good liquid satin one. Sadly on warmer days they are also too much to bear, and electrocution is also a major hazard.

I like to wear a slinky skirt slip under my more 'rough' cotton and linen skirts, especially when wearing my thicker high denier tights and stockings. And I like a nice long dress slip under a light dress that needs a layer to keep warm.

I like to wear my favorite half slip as a top. Soft, sexy, makes the girls feel nice. The side slits are racey, my shelf holds it up well. With my high beams on it is attention getting so I mainly wear it around the house. Try it, it's fun! Hug. JodyAnn

Ike the way a skirt/ dress "lays" against the smooth fabric of a silk slip, and of course static cling.
