New in poetry

Hi,

i like writing, but rather short stories.

I can try however.

Poetry is in some ways harder especially if English is a second language. I have enjoyed translation off poems from Chinese to English while i was in college but i doubt i was even close to the original feeling of the poem. Poetry is now such a large and open medium that perhaps you should give it a try just for the fun of it.

And lacking reconfort

A few words, but with great meaning.

Reconfort does not seem to be a word used in English (at least I had to look it up so probably not commonly used) but means comfort / reassurance (online translation). It did make me examine the words more closely and think of the meaning of the poem so, in my mind, a good use of the word.

I then re-read without being analytical and got the true feeling

I would love to read a second poem
